  • A general equilibrium growth model is constructed to analyse the income distributional impacts of the 1973 world oil crisis upon the Korean economy. Our results show that all consumer groups experienced a virtually uniform percentage reduction in their income levels. This implies that a lower income groups may be more damaged in a relative sense. In any rate, there were no domestic groups who benefit from the international oil crisis. This model could be used to figure out which social group will be most vulnerable against the next possible oil crisis we may expect in the future. Our result nay provide us a guideline for a compensating program to protect such groups against an external shock.

  • A commodity distribution problem with intertemporal storage facilities and dynamic transportation networks is proposed. mathematical integer programming methods and multiobjective programming techniques are used in the model formulation. Dynamic characteristics of commodity distribution problems are taken into account in the model formulation. storage facility location problems and transportation link addition problems are incorporated into the intertemporal multicommodity distribution problem. The model is capable of generating the most efficient and rational commodity distribution system. Therefore it can be utilized to provided the most effective investment plan for the transportation infrastructure development as well as to evaluate the existing commodity distribution system. The model determines simultaneously the most efficient locations, sizes, and activity levels of storage facilities as well as new highway links. It is extended to multiobjective planning situations for the purpose of generating alternative investment plans in accordance to planning situations. sine the investment in transportation network improvement yields w\several external benefits for a regional economy, the induced benefit maximization objective is incorporated into the cost minimization objective. The multiobjective model generates explicitly the trade-off between cost savings and induced benefits of the investment in transportation network improvement.

  • In general, the shape of a 3D printed object is not to be changed after the generation. Most changes, for example, contraction of a molten polymer after cooling is thought to be undesirable. 4D printing however tries to make benefit of a shape change after the part is generated. The shape change is required to be controllable in response to an external stimuli. These artifacts from 4D printing are called kinetic components which are defined as structures formed by combining inert materials and smart materials that change under certain stimuli. We propose a design software that can systematically calculate inert links with smart joints to follow the shape of the target design.

  • In order to manage technology transfer properly, it is important to judge whether the technology transfer is successful or not, and to find out the reason of the conclusion. The study aims to find out the relationship between successfulness of technology transfer and reasons or basis of the conclusion. Empirical investigation was carried out for Korean small and medium size firm in machinery and material field with statistical analysis on questionnaire and intensive interview. Result of the analysis is identified and compared with the other. It is shown that Korean firms feel their technology transfer is successful when it meet functional objectives and to get enough knowledge to further utilization from external source. Realization of benefit do not affect much the successfulness of technology transfer even though it is final objectives of technology transfer.

  • EBM is "the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in mating decisions about the care of the individual patient. It means integrating individual clinical expertise with the best available external clinical evidence from systematic research." EBM is the integration of clinical expertise, patient values, and the best evidence into the decision making process for patient care. The practice of EBM is usually triggered by patient encounters which generate questions about the effects of therapy, the utility of diagnostic tests, the prognosis of diseases, or the etiology of disorders. The best evidence is usually found in clinically relevant research that has been conducted using sound methodology. Evidence-based medicine requires new skills of the clinician, including efficient literature-searching, and the application of formal rules of evidence in evaluating the clinical literature. Evidence-based medicine converts the abstract exercise of reading and appraising the literature into the pragmatic process of using the literature to benefit individual patients while simultaneously expanding the clinician's knowledge base. This review will briefly discuss about concepts of evidence medicine and method of critical appraisal of literatures.

  • Previous researches have focused on the efficiency of project execution and the satisfaction of internal customers In view of the fact that a project is successful if any defects are not found in the short-term performance test of the project final outcome. To execute a project that both internal customer and external customer are satisfied in terms of longer-term benefit perspective, the project claim costs (PCC) which may occur for the warranty period of the project final outcome should be considered. We propose a model included PCC to the linear programming between time and cost to expedite a project and perform the validity test by applying the model to an example project. This model and related procedure will contribute to overall project activities' cost reduction by taking preventive actions for PCC.

  • Indigenous energy resources available in Korea are limited to the three major resources such as Korean anthracite, hydraulic potential and wood and straws. As reported in various reports concerning energy problem in Korea, unfortunately these three major resources are not only poor in quality but also limited in quantity. The amount of energy to be imported, which will be increased at a considerably high rate by years due to the shortage in the supply by domertic sources against the demand, is studied in the view-pint of sound and logical energy dependence upon the external sources. What would occur, if the imported energy would be exclusively limited to an energy source only, has an enough reason to be paid a significant consideration. As a result, the feasibility is discarded in favour of nuclear power plants after an extensive prospect for electric power development plan covering more than coming thirty years, i.e., up to the year of 2,000 A.D. In briefing, this paper indicates that a measures to accomodate as large amount of nuclear power plants as possible in the electric power system is not only inevitable for a sound solution of the severe energy problem with which Korea is to be confronted but also leads to the national benefit.

  • Renewable energy sources play a key role in achieving carbon neutrality and zero net emissions in the power generation sector. Various efforts have been made to support the deployment of renewable energy, particularly solar photovoltaic and wind power, including policies to internalize the external cost of carbon emissions. In this study, we conducted a financial analysis of a 800 MW floating photovoltaic system and compared it with ground solar power generation. Additionally, we conducted a cost-benefit analysis that included the social cost of carbon. The findings showed that the floating photovoltaic project can meet the profitability target through an appropriately designed internalization of the social cost of carbon.

  • The study is aimed at figuring out the effect of the consumers benefit, attitudes and interest when customers purchase functional food on purchasing intention and product a foundation of competitive power such as a customized product development for a marketing strategy by examining consumers' behavioral patterns. The range of functional food which is a subject of this study is included in the nutraceutical foods, protective foods in addition to biocontrol food. It surveyed about ages of 20 to 60 domestic residents who have taken functional food in order to conduct the study. Data used in this study was collected 353 answers in September 2016, and hierarchical analysis which is a demographic characteristic as control variables was conducted to verify the hypothesis using statistical program SPSS 21.0 The result of this study demonstrates that firstly, psychological pursued benefit secondly, health concern thirdly, health management attitude affects to functional purchasing intention. It is expecting that the result of this study will be used on the basic standards that are grasping and generalizing the needs of customers. In addition, it is also expecting to contribute to improvement of internal and external functional food industry as a functional food material development because it provides empirical customer behavior analysis result.

  • The purpose of this study is to look into the consumers who show the consumption patterns of brand switching and repeated purchasing, find the decision factors of their brand switching and repeated purchasing, analyze the difference in marketing response variables being represented as corporate promotion activities in the brand switching and repeated purchasing process, and provide a suggestion to apply the result to marketing Therefore, it tries to help the firms, which develop push marketing as the result of excessive competition between distributors and sales competition focusing on external appearance, recognize consumers as individual substances; to propose proper efficient promotion activities; to let consumers increase loyalty to their trademark and continue to purchase their products repeatedly; and to induce competitor brand consumers to do brand switching. The results of this study are presented as follows: First, consumers who prefer events, price discount, samples, and product premium which means the products with brand or logo on them had the feature of repeated purchasing. Secondly, service benefit, point-type promotion, cost-saving satisfaction didn't affect brand switching, and only the consumers who prefer coupon-type promotion did brand switching. Thirdly, a distribution type produced the moderating effect between the repeated purchasing and coupon and coupon-type promotion, and between brand switching and service benefit.
