Due to changes in the form factor of display panels and touch screen panels in various devices, capacitive touch systems have evolved to address various issues such as low power consumption, noise immunity, and small chip size. Furthermore, some devices have applications that use a stylus. Since the stylus operates similarly to a finger touch, it encounters similar issues. Recent research trends focus on addressing key issues such as noise, which is primarily caused by the self-capacitor formed between the display cathode and the touch screen panel. In this paper, Various research papers discussing methods to eliminate external noise will be reviewed. These advancements enhance noise immunity in touch systems, making it easier to use thinner and more flexible panels. These progress make touch technology more versatile and reliable in various applications.

스마트 센싱은 사물인터넷과 관련된 다양한 응용에 있어 핵심적인 역할을 하고 있으며, 그 중요성은 인공지능의 발전과 더불어 점점 증가하고 있다. 그러므로 스마트 센서의 중요성은 아무리 강조해도 지나치지 않다고 할 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 스마트 센서 관련 대부분의 연구는 특정 응용 목적, 예를 들면 보안, 에너지 절약, 감시 등에 집중되고 있으며, 미래에 필요할 다양한 유형의 스마트 센서를 효율적으로 구성하는 방법에 관한 연구는 드믄 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 센서의 효율적 구성을 위한 계층구조를 가진 컴포넌트 기반의 스마트 센서 프레임워크가 제안되고, 스마트 홈으로의 응용이 설계, 구현된다. 제안된 방법은 가까운 미래에 등장할 다양한 유형의 스마트 센서를, 제안된 소프트웨어 프레임워크 상에서 필요한 컴포넌트의 설계 및 개발을 통해 구성 가능하다는 것을 보여주고 있다. 또한 계층 구조를 가지고 있으므로 내부 혹은 외부 계층의 삽입을 통해 스마트 센서의 구성을 확대시킬 수도 있으며, 특히 외부 장치 계층과의 연결을 통해 사물인터넷 응용 서비스의 설계 시, 내부 혹은 외부 모듈별 독립적인 설계가 가능하다는 장점을 가진다. 제안된 방법을 사용하여 소규모 스마트 홈 시스템이 설계 구현되었으며, 외부의 서버와 연결되어 다수의 스마트 홈을 수용, 관리할 수 있는 홈 클라우드까지 설계 구현되었다. 각 계층의 컴포넌트들을 개발, 추가함으로써, 스마트 카, 스마트 빌딩, 스마트 팩토리 등, 그 응용의 폭을 효율적으로 확대할 수 있을 것이다.

Very large in electrical resistivity by several orders of magnitude is obtained when an external magnetic field is applied to the colossal magnetoresistnace (CMR) materials such as La-Ca-Mn-O. The magnetoresistance is strongly temperature-dependent, and exhibits a sharp peak below room temperature, which can be shifted by adjusting the composition or processing parameters. The control of lattice geometry or strain, e.g., by chemical substitution, epitaxial growth or post-deposition anneal of thin films appears to be crucial in obtaining the CMR properties. The orders of magnitude change in electrical resistivity could be useful for various magnetic and electric device applications. .

We developed a new device structure using anisotropic phase separation from liquid crystal (LC) and polymer composite materials using UV intensity variation and polymer wetting properties. In the device, the LC molecules are isolated in pixels where LCs are surrounded by the inter-pixel vertical polymer walls and the horizontal polymer films on the upper substrate. These devices show very good mechanical stability against external pressure. The electro-optic characteristics and the mechanical stability of the devices are discussed in view of the flexible display applications.

The modem multimedia applications which are video Processor, video conference or video phone and so forth require real time processing. Because of a large amount of image data, those require high compression performance. In this paper, the proposed image processing encoder was designed by using wavelet transform encoding. The proposed filter block can process image data on tile high speed because of composing individual function blocks by parallel and compute both highpass and lowpass coefficient in the same clock cycle. When image data is decomposed into multiresolution, the proposed scheme needs external memory and controller to save intermediate results and it can operate within 33㎒.

To transform the enterprise system into the 'Real Time Enterprise' with respect to IT, I suggest the conceptual application model which is composed of pieces(components) extracted from different packaged applications working in a heterogeneous environment based on the 'business activity' in other words, business services provided by internal (inter-enterprise) and external (extended enterprise) application to support a business activity within in an enterprise and the design mechanism focusing service tier which acts as intermediate tier within application architecture.

Recently, ELID (electrolytic in-process dressing) grinding technique is developed. It is possible to make a efficient precision machining of hard materials such as ceramic hard metals, and quenched steels. This paper deals with some typical applications of ELID-grinding for cylindrcal machining. The significant advantages, performance and characteristics on mirror surface grinding for external surface are described.

This paper presents a novel circuit configuration for realizing the continuous-time active-only voltage-mode integrator. The proposed integrator consists only of internally compensated type operational amplifier (OA) and operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs). Since no external passive elements are required, the integrator is suitable for integrated circuit implementation in either bipolar or CMOS technologies. Moreover, the integrator gain can be electronically tuned by adjusting the bias currents of the OTAs. The characteristics of the proposed integrator and the effectiveness of the design procedure in realizing various analog transfer functions have been examined by PSPICE simulation.

In this paper, we present a polysilicon actuator on silicon wafer using surface micromachining technology which employs an electrostatic stepwise driven Scratch Drive Actuator to generate a force that can move an external object. For optical applications, we propose wavelength selector using distributed feedback structures and this micro actuator.

There have many studies seeking for an effective IS planning approach. These studies mainly considered organizational characteristics, external factors, and IS planning process as key factors influencing ISP outcome. ISP output, however, was less focused, which is believed to have a more direct relationship with ISP outcome. In this study we attempt to study empirically how architectural quality of ISP output impacts on ISP outcome.
