  • Weibull distribution is a suitable distribution to use in modeling the life time data. It has been found to be a exact fit for the empirical distribution of the wind speed measurement samples. In brief this paper consist of important properties and characters of Weibull distribution. Also we discuss the application of Weibull distribution to wind speed measurements and derive an expression for the probability distribution of the power produced by a wind turbine at a fixed location, so that the modeling problem reduces to collecting data to estimate the three parameters of the Weibull distribution using Maximum likelihood Method.

  • The paradigm of contemporary times became different from paradigm of modem times. The change of paradigm is caused by the side effect of paradigm of pre-times. It could be said that contemporary paradigm is pluralism. In the forms of contemporary building and interior design, the informal form is the result of pluralism. This study is researching and analyzing the informal design tendency in the interior space composition of contemporary architecture. the 1950's free form movement, 1960's Informal movement and pluralism after 1970's affected the latest informal forms. The tendencies of contemporary informal design are organic-degital tendency and deconstructive tendency. Along this two kinds of tendencies, I studied the specific characters in expression and analyzed some natural-degital, deconstructive building.

  • Characteristics of 154 traditional fairy tales (62 Asian, 34 European, 40 American, and 18 African fairy tales) were investigated according to their corresponding cultural areas. The results showed that male adults appeared more frequently in the traditional fairy tales than other characters. The expression of time, such as 'long ago','once upon a time', and 'one day' was provided, and there was an extreme contrast, fixation, and reiteration of literary styles in the traditional fairy tales, regardless of the cultural areas. Also, the characteristics of time and space that appeared in African fairy tales had a significant difference from other cultures. Also in accordance to the cultural areas, these fairy tales illustrated a significant difference in the pattern of problem solving.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how the Hanbok is expressed in the ballet performances through the 'La, Chun-hyang', a classic Korean ballet. 'La, Chun-hyang', was performed from 2009 and 2010, but there were some differences in choreography by the director's intention. According to these changes, the methods of expression of ballet objects were changed as well. Therefore, totally different personalities were shown despite the fact that theses were same performances. Every costume objects in dance performances like the ballet can be used to express the story and the characters. Moreover, the object designs of Hanbok portray creativity and originality that simultaneously refers to history. In order for stage costume objects to popularize, the making method and process have to be developed like the objects of the Hanbok that signified historicity.

  • How to express movement in animation is one of the most important elements which form a work. An Interaction of the expression of a movement and the timing is a basic element which we need to understand and create an animation as a visual art. At this point the timing is an amount of the time required to move object or characters. This paper clears up the fundamental principle of the timing in stop-motion animations and shows Ideal timing methods by comparisons and experiments of the timings which change on a camera's angles.

  • Along with the advance of digital technology, various methods are adopted for capturing the 3D animating data. Especially, in 3D animation production market, the motion capture system is widely used to make films, games, and animation contents. The technique quickly tracks the movements of the actor and translate the data to use as animating character's motion. Thus the animation characters are able to mimic the natural motion and gesture, even face expression. However, the conventional motion capture system needs tricky conditions, such as space, light, number of camera etc. Furthermore the data acquired from the motion capture system is frequently corrupted by noise, drift and surrounding environment. In this paper, we introduce the post production techniques to stabilizing the jitters of motion capture data from the low cost handy system based on Kinect.

  • Movie has a light, colors, and texture in the space and a design. Movie is a ovation of the 3-dimensional reality with time and space. Just like a movie, a space can also express time, personality of characters and background stories. Symbolization of a space tells philosophy and emotions, making meaning of the space abundant and consistency in entire composition of the space. Expression of beauty through order of space inside proves meaning of space. Think that can do and present to production methodology of space design to universalize ureas through symbolic productions that is based on story.

  • The SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system made by HARRIS corporation of U.S.A for special propose industrial computer is currently used for Power control in KEPCO (Korea Electric Power corporation). But it's I/O expression is composed or only alpha-numeric and semi-graphic characters. So operators have had some troubles and difficulties. We have studied and implemented Hanguel (Korean Character) in this system to solve these difficulties. In this paper we'll discuss the method and technics of Hanguel Implementation on SCADA system, and trendency of Hanguel implementation will be added.
