This study aims to measure the emotional effects of pet plants, which have become popular in recent years. A questionnaire regarding perceptions of these indoor plants was administered to 78 university students. Thirty of these students took care of two species of pet plants for 90 days, and the emotional effects of this exercise were determined based on the type of words used in their daily records. The questionnaire results showed that the general recognition of emotional effects was low, though awareness of the term "pet plants" was high. However, after gardening for 90 days, participants began to consider their pet plants friends or family members, noting feelings of affection and sympathy in their daily writeups. These participants also experienced positive changes in their emotional well-being, including feelings of joy, hope, relaxation, confidence, and accomplishment. This study argues that pet plants can have positive effects on emotional stability and suggests that their adoption would be beneficial to humanity at large.

Purpose: This study was designed to explore what experiences nurses had while caring and providing emotional support for patients. Methods: Participants were eight nurses working at hospitals for more than one year. Data were collected from June, 2006 to January, 2007 through in-depth interview by using tape-recordings. Data were analysed with the phenomenological method proposed by Colazzi(1978). Results: From significant statements, 4 clustered themes, 7 themes and 23 sub-themes were extracted from the essential meaning of the emotional experience of hospital nurses. The 4 clustered themes were 'movement of mind', 'affection and service for patients', 'worthwhile and conflict' and 'control oneself'. The 7 themes were 'special feeling', 'rapport formation', 'consideration', 'human interaction', 'value discovery', 'loss of volition', and 'keep to balance'. Conclusion: Although nurses had tough experiences for providing care for patients' emotional support, they had also experienced spiritual maturity from its experience. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine nurses' turnover experiences and to provide basic information for developing turnover intervention program for effective human resources management. Methods: This study is an inductive, descriptive phenomenological research that uses profound interviews and observations. The subjects of the study were nurses retired from a hospital. Results: The themes were classified into the three theme clusters. The first theme was about 'deepening inside wound' which was described as experiencing stresses due to introversion, feeling a heavy burden about responsibilities as experienced nurses, feeling guilty about limits of performance and hurt about reproaches by seniors and having conflicts with physicians. The second theme cluster focused on 'powerlessness as time goes', which was stated as having difficulty in adaptation to the new rotated wards, feeling tired and having no spare time and difficulty in night duty, experiencing stagnation and powerlessness and feeling disappointed about inadequate rewards. The third was about 'can't find the exit' which were expressed with wanting to change the speciality because of concerns about future, having affection to motherhood, feeling conflict over the nursing profession itself, concentrating on the matter of turnover and facing related personal situations, and regretting turnover. Conclusion & Suggestions: Considering all these experiences, field managers in nursing should build up a support system that helps nurses overcome risks related to decision-making about turnover. In addition, nurse managers need to develop a human resources development program in which competent nurses are continuously won over through education and counseling.

Purpose: To develop Korean Menstrual Symptom Scale (KMSS) for university students and test its reliability and validity. Methods: The scale was developed by intensive literature review, development of preliminary items, verification of content validity, development of secondary items, verification of construct validity, and extraction of final items. Thirty-nine items were constructed. Data for validity and reliability testing were collected with a questionnaire survey from 391 university students. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and reliability coefficients (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$) with the SPSS program. Results: There were 37 final items which were sorted into six factors: 'negative affection (8 items)', 'change of activity level (7 items)', 'physical symptom (9 items)', 'mood change (9 items)', 'change in concentration level (4 items)', and 'body water retention (5 items)'. The cumulative percent of variance was 63.3%. Regarding the reliability of the scale, its Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was 0.96. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ values for these factors ranged from 0.75 to 0.91. Conclusion: The KMSS demonstrated acceptable validity and reliability. Repeated research is needed to measure menstrual symptom experienced by women of variable ages.
The Fintech services provide innovation to financial services users using various mobile devices and computers in wired and wireless communication environments. In this study, we develope a theoretical research framework to explain the psychology of Fintech services users based on a cognitive, affective, and conative framework. Using this framework, this study analyzes the relationships between the cognitive characteristics (i.e., innovation, relative advantage, ease of use, and usefulness), emotional characteristic (i.e., attitude), and behavioral characteristic (i.e., actual use) toward Fintech services users. This study conducted an online survey of people who have experienced using Fintech services. And the data of the collected Fintech services users was analyzed using structural equation model software (i.e., SMART PLS 2.0 M3). The results of the empirical analysis show the relationships between innovation, relative advantage, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, and actual use of Fintech service users. The results of this study provide useful information to improve the practical use of Fintech services users in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment.

The purposes of this study were to investigate the factors affection the Oral Impacts on Daily Performances for Children (C-OIDP) in elementary and middle school students, and identify the association between oral health-related behaviors, oral health condition and C-OIDP. A cross-sectional study was conducted in three schools in Incheon, Asan, Korea. A total of 175 selected children were interviewed by a trained examiner using a questionnaire. Oral Health Related Quality of Life was assessed by the Korean version of C-OIDP. Socio-economic characteristics, oral health-related behaviors, oral health condition and C-OIDP were verified using the questionnaire. ANOVA analysis was performed to determine the oral health and C-OIDP, and multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the factors affecting the C-OIDP. The activities with the greatest effect were eating (28.0%), cleaning teeth (22.9%), and smiling (18.9%). In the logistic regression model, the high item score of C-OIDP was associated with experiencing dental caries and gum pain in the past month. The more the C-OIDP prevalence item, the more the fillng deciduous tooth surface (fs) (p=0.024), caries experienced deciduous tooth surface (dfs) (p=0.049), total caries tooth surface (ds+DS) (p=0.021), and total caries experienced tooth surface (dfs+DMFS) (p=0.047). It can be concluded that the factors affecting C-OIDP are fs, dfs, dfs+DMFS, and gingival pain. Based on these results, we can improve C-OIDP to advance preventive practice.
