  • 본 연구에서는 meta-analysis를 통해 TJP의 발현량과 육계의 생산성 간의 상관관계를 살펴보았다. TJP의 발현량은 생산성의 향상과 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 occludin의 발현이 육계의 생산성과 가장 큰 상관관계를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. Occludin 발현량 조절과 장 점막 건강이 육계 생산성 향상을 위한 영양 관리 전략 지표로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

병렬 시스템에서의 최적 중복부품수와 최적 부하수준 (Optimal Redundant Units and Load in Parallel Systems)

  • This paper is concerned with a parallel system that sustains a time-independent load and consists of n components with exponential lifetimes. It is assumed that the total load is shared by the working components and the failures of components increase higher failure rates in the surviving components according to the relationship between the load and the fialure rates. The power rule model among several load-failure rate relationships is considered. We consider the system efficiency meausre as the expected profit earned by the system per unit time. The high load causes high gain but it also occurs frequent system failures. The expected profit per unit time is used as criterion to evaluate the system efficiency. The goal of system engineer is to determine the optimal load and redundant units maximizing the expected profit per unit time. First, the system reliability function is obtained and the optimization problem of the load-sharing parallel system is considered. Given the redundant units, the existence of the optimal load can be proved analytically and given the load, the optimal redundant units can be solved also analytically. The optimal load and redundant units are obtained simultaneously by numerical computation. Some numerical examples are studied.

  • MIRIS (Multipurpose Infra-Red Imaging System) is the first Korean Infrared Space Telescope developed by KASI (Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute), and is the main payload of STSAT-3 (Science and Technology Satellite-3). The FM (fight model) of MIRIS has been recently completed, and various performance tests have been made to measure system parameters such as readout noise, system gain, linearity, and dark current. Final thermal-vacumm test of the MIRIS and the vibration test of the electronics box have been performed. Band response tests showed good agreement with the initial design requirements. No significant dark difference was measured within the expected temperature variation range during observation in orbit. Using Pa-alpha band from a uniform source, the readout noise and system gain were measured by mean variance test. To obtain uniform flat image, flat fielding tests were made for each band, and the data will be compared to that obtained in orbit for calibration. The final version of MIRIS FM will be delivered in March, and it will be integrated into the satellite system for the AIT (Assembly Integration, Test) procedure. The launch of MIRIS is expected in November 2012.

Influence of Kaolinite Clay Supplementation on Growth Performance and Digestive Function in Finishing Calf-fed Holstein Steers

  • Two experiments were conducted to examine the influence of kaolinite clay supplementation (0%, 1%, or 2% diet dry matter [DM] basis) on characteristics of digestion (Trial 1) and growth performance (Trial 2) in calf-fed Holstein steers fed a finishing diet. In Trial 1, 6 Holstein steers ($539{\pm}15kg$) with ruminal and duodenal cannulas were used to evaluate treatment effects on characteristics of digestion. Kaolinite clay supplementation decreased total tract DM digestion (linear effect, p<0.01) without effects ($p{\geq}0.10$) on site and extent of digestion of organic matter, neutral detergent fiber, starch and N, or ruminal microbial efficiency. There were no treatment effects on ruminal pH, volatile fatty acids molar proportions or estimated methane production. In Trial 2, 108 Holstein steers ($132.4{\pm}5.6kg$) were used in a 308-d study to evaluate growth performance and carcass characteristics. There were no treatment effects (p>0.10) on average daily gain (ADG) and gain efficiency (ADG/dry matter intake). Kaolinite supplementation tended (linear effect, p = 0.08) to increase dietary net energy (NE) during the initial 112-d period. However, the overall (308-d) effect of supplementation dietary NE was not appreciable (p>0.20). However, due to the inertness of kaolinite, itself, the ratio of observed-to-expected dietary NE increased with kaolinite supplementation. This effect was more pronounced (linear effect, $p{\leq}0.03$) during the initial 224 d of the study. Overall (308 d), kaolinite supplementation tended to increase (linear effect, p = 0.07) dietary NE by 3% over expected. Kaolinite supplementation did not affect carcass weight, yield grade, longissimus area, kidney, pelvic and heart fat, and quality grade, but decreased (linear effect, p = 0.01) dressing percentage. It is concluded that kaolinite supplementation up to 2% of diet DM may enhance energetic efficiency of calf-fed Holstein steers in a manner independent of changes in characteristics of ruminal and total tract digestion.

초음파 진단기의 설정 파라미터가 영상의 질에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Ultrasonic Scanner Setting Parameters on the Quality of Ultrasonic Images)

  • 초음파 진단기의 설정은 영상의 질에 영향을 준다. sonographer는 최적의 영상을 얻기 위해 초음파 영상의 질에 영향을 주는 설정 변수에 대한 효과를 이해해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 4가지 대표적인 영상 조절 변수 즉 TGC (Time Gain Control), 이득 (Gain), 주파수 (Frequency), DR (Dynamic Range)를 고려하였다. 초음파 영상의 질은 LCS (Law Contrast Sensitivity) 관점에서 정량적으로 비친 평가하였다. 실험은 임상용 초음파 진단기 (SA-9000 PRIME, Medison, Korea)를 사용하여 초음파 평가 팬텀 (539, ATS, USA)의 LCS 타겟을 영상화하였다. 영상 조절 변수의 설정을 변화하면서, 각 설정에 대한, 6개의 LCS 영상 (+15 dB, +C dB, +3 dB, -3 dB, -6 dB, -15 dB)을 취득하고, 영상에 대한 LCS픽셀 값을 계산하였다. 실험결과 TGC가 최대, Gain은 중간에서 최대사이, 주파수가 Pen모드, DR이 40-66 dB일 때 타겟 영상 (LCS)의 평균 픽셀 값이 높았다. 모든 타겟 영상에서 DR이 40 dB일 때에 LCS가 좋은 영상을 얻었다. 본 결과는 임상에서 잘 발견되는 solid lesion (+15, +6, +3 dB 타겟과 유사) 또는 cystic lesion (-15, -6, -3 dB 타겟과 비슷)이 있는 mass 평가 시 적절한 영상조절 변수 설정에 유용한 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Currently there is fast flow of America and South Korea FTA negotiation being issued. Aim of FTA, by having free trade between two countries to gain their economical benefit. Few benefits can be expected by Korea joining FTA with America It will increase export as well as increase in overseas investment and this will lead to booming of services industry. After America and Korea FTA Discussion being announced around the world, Australia and EU also has interest of doing FTA with South Korea, which mean that America and Korea FTA has effect of bring in the overseas interest of FTA to South Korea. Expectation of American can be, create the market in South Korea to gain benefit as well as able to check out the economical issue of north east Asia country such as China and Japan. Since American side has high agreement with the make FTA with South Korea, South Korea now has to make own decision about this matter. Since Korean economy highly influence by world trade, to survive from market competition with China and Japan, Korea must involve in Free trade with world.

  • Fiber dispersion을 이용한 소신호 응답특성으로부터 1.55㎛ strained MQW DFB 레이저의 linewidth enhancement factor α 및 fiber 분산을 측정하였다. 측정된 fiber 분산값은 16.766∼16.786ps/nm/km로 일반적인 단일모드 fiber의 분산값을 잘 나타내었다. 레이저의 실제 동작조건에서 α의 변화를 관찰하기 위하여 광출력의 변화에 따른 α의 변화를 측정하였는데 광출력 증가에 따라 α값도 선형적으로 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 이 결과로부터 아직까지의 어떤 측정보다도 정확히 non-linear gain에 의한 α의 변화를 설명할 수 있었다.

  • 밀리미터파 대역의 부품 수요가 많아질 것으로 예상되어지는 57~63 GHz 대역의 하향 변환 혼합기를 IHP SiGe 0.25 um 공정을 이용하여 설계 및 제작하였다. 혼합기 RF 단에 크기를 줄인 3D 발룬(balun)을 위치하였으며, 혼합기는 두 개의 평형 혼합기로 구성하고 LO 신호의 억압과 출력단의 이득을 위하여 버퍼(buffer) 증폭기를 위치하였다. 측정 결과, 변환 이득 13.8 dB, $P1dB_{in}$ -17 dBm, 전류 소모는 88 mA의 특성을 나타내었다.

  • Recently, technical trend for machine tools is focused on enhancement of speed and accuracy. High speedy processing causes thermal and structural deformation of objects from the machine tools. Water cooler has to be applied to machine tools to reduce the thermal negative influence with accurate temperature controlling system. Existing On-Off control type can't control temperature accurately because compressor is operated and stopped repeatedly and causes increment of power consumption and decrement of the expected life of compressor. The goal of this study is to minimize temperature error in steady state. In addition, control period of an electronic expansion valve were considered to increment of lifetime of the machine tools and quality of product with a water cooler. PI controller is designed using type of hot-gas bypass for precise control of temperature. Gain of PI is decided easily by method of critical oscillation response, excellent performance of control is shown with 4.24% overshoot and ${\pm}0.2^{\circ}C$error of steady state. Also, error range of temperature is controlled within $0.2^{\circ}C$although disturbance occurs.

  • 본 논문에서는 인지무선통신에서 중요한 기술 중 하나인 스펙트럼 센싱의 Hidden node의 문제나 셀룰라 시스템에서 셀 경계에서 CPE(Customer Premises equipments)의 낮은 SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio)로 인한 센싱 성능 저하를 해결하기 위해 CPE들의 협력 릴레이 기법을 사용한 협력 스펙트럼 센싱을 제안하고 검출확률 성능을 분석한다. 송신단과 수신단 사이의 릴레이(Relay) 적용된 협력 스펙트럼 센싱은 가상의 공간 다이버시티이득(Spatial Diversity Gain)을 얻을 수 있어 센싱 성능이 향상된다. 협력 통신 기법 중 다중안테나를 적용한 AF(Amplify and Forward) 고정형 중계기를 사용하여 다이버시티이득을 얻는 시스템 모델을 제안하고, 검출 성능 향상을 분석한다.
