  • Need safety diagnostic indicator pointer that is objective as estimation basis to be scientific and manages systematically safety existing condition and level for city gas facilities. Safety diagnostic indicator pointer can divide by greatly two. One is management (Software) side that one that differ with mechanical (Hardware) side that handle laying stress on equipment connected with safety manages organization and management connected with safety. Weight appropriates according to specific gravity that relevant element occupies in facilities. To give so big value in particular element in grant of weight pays attention because break balance of whole guideline and should gives. Finally, efficient safety net may see effect before self-regulation inside by minimum target establishment by government and legal, systematic countermeasure establishment for this, strict law application and each business proprietor and though activity and user's active safety activity forms harmony properly.

  • Exact analytical solutions for in-plane static problems of planar curved beams with variable curvatures and variable cross-sections are derived by using the initial value method. The governing equations include the axial extension and shear deformation effects. The fundamental matrix required by the initial value method is obtained analytically. Then, the displacements, slopes and stress resultants are found analytically along the beam axis by using the fundamental matrix. The results are given in analytical forms. In order to show the advantages of the method, some examples are solved and the results are compared with the existing results in the literature. One of the advantages of the proposed method is that the high degree of statically indeterminacy adds no extra difficulty to the solution. For some examples, the deformed shape along the beam axis is determined and plotted and also the slope and stress resultants are given in tables.

  • In this article, free vibration of functionally graded (FG) elliptic plates subjected to various classical boundary conditions has been investigated. Literature review reveals no study has been performed based on functionally graded elliptic plates till date. The mechanical kinematic relations are considered based on classical plate theory. Rayleigh-Ritz technique is used to obtain the generalized eigenvalue problem. The material properties of the FG plate are assumed to vary along thickness direction of the constituents according to power-law form. Trial functions denoting the displacement components are expressed in simple algebraic polynomial forms which can handle any edge support. The objective is to study the effect of geometric configurations and gradation of constituent volume fractions on the natural frequencies. New results for frequency parameters are incorporated after performing a test of convergence. A comparison study is carried out with existing literature for validation in special cases. Three-dimensional mode shapes for circular and elliptic FG plates are also presented with various boundary conditions at the edges.

  • A new first-order shear deformation theory is developed for dynamic behavior of functionally graded beams. The equations governing the axial and transverse deformations of functionally graded plates are derived based on the present first-order shear deformation plate theory. The governing equations and boundary conditions of functionally graded beams have the simple forms as those of isotropic plates. The influences of the volume fraction index and thickness-to-length ratio on the fundamental frequencies are discussed. The accuracy of the present solutions is verified by comparing the obtained results with the existing solutions.

  • Gradient-type algorithms for adaptive IIR notch filters are very attractive in terms of both performances and computational requirements. Generally, it is quite difficult to assess their performances analytically. There have been several trials to analyze such adaptive algorithms as the sign and the plain gradient algorithms for some types of adaptive IIR notch filters, but many of them still remain unexplored. Furthermore, analysis techniques used in those trials can not be directly applied to different types of adaptive IIR notch filters. This paper presents a detailed performance analysis of the sign algorithm for a well-known adaptive IIR notch filter with constrained poles and zeros, which can not be done by just applying the related existing analysis techniques, and therefore has not been attempted yet. The steady-state estimation error and mean square error (MSE) of the algorithm are derived in closed forms. Stability bounds of the algorithm are also assessed. extensive simulations are conducted to support the analytical findings.

  • Recently, the SWATH concept hull form which is capable of high speed navigation with small oscillatory motions in waves, was developed from the catamaran type hull forms. This paper discribes a method to predict motion responses of a SWATH ship in regular waves using the strip theory. The 2-dimensional hydrodynamic problem was solved using the improved Green integral equation which is free from the irregular frequencies. The effects of viscous drag which is dominant in heave damping of the SWATH ship are taken into account. Further, the effects of the stationary stabilizing fins which is important in high speed performance of the SWATH ship are included in the equation of motions. It seems that the motion responses calculated by the present method show better agreement with experimental results than other existing numerical results.

  • Energy efficiency is the most challenging issue in wireless sensor network to prolong the life time of the network, as the sensors has to be unattended. Cluster based communication can reduce the traffic on the network and gives the opportunity to other sensors for periodic sleep and thus save energy. Passive clustering (PC) can perform a significant role to minimize the network load as it is less computational and light weight. First declaration wins method of PC without any priority generates severe collision in the network and forms the clusters very dense with large amount of overlapping region. We have proposed several modifications for the existing passive clustering algorithm to prolong the life time of the network with better cluster formation.

  • We introduce an indoor broadcasting system using light-emitting diode (LED) lamps coupled with a 220 V power line. Two couplers connected to the power line constitute a power line communication (PLC) link. The transmission path from an LED lamp to a photodetector forms a visible light communication (VLC) link in free space. When the LED lamp is coupled to the power line, a composite PLC-VLC link is formed, making it possible to transmit a VLC signal beyond line-of-sight. In experiments, a 4 kHz analog signal modulated with a 100 kHz carrier was sent to the power line by a PLC coupler, and LED lamps coupled to the power line detected the signal and radiated it to multiple VLC receivers in the room. This configuration is useful in expanding an indoor VLC sensor network to adjacent rooms or constructing a voice broadcasting system in a building or apartments with existing power lines.

  • Conventional methods for root finding of the algebraic equations are intrinsically synthetic division methods, i.e., which are the factorization in forms of $f(x)=(x-x_i)Q(x)$. So existing methods have some demerits such as deflation and root-polishing procedures. To overcome these defects a new powerful algorithm, namely circular arithmetic algorithm(CSM), was introduced and has been investigated about its fascinating properties. In this paper, we will propose a simple and effective method of getting the initial guesses for the roots of the equation. With this method the CSM can me all the root of equation with great efficiency.

  • This paper addresses the need to incorporate the increasing trend of partnership formation among business firms into a framework for interorganizational systems. The existing frameworks for classifying interorganizational systems are either conceptually too complex to be readily applicable to IOS planning or too outdated to explain the emergence of numerous forms of global communication networks. Based upon two dimensions, namely value activity linkage and system support level, we propose a new IOS framework which classifies IOS into four types, including (1) operational cooperation, (2) resource pooling, (3) operational coordination, and (4) complementary partnership. We review select cases that fit into each IOS category and draw characteristics of systems of each category. The paper concludes with suggestions for applying the framework to the development of an IOS-enabled corporate strategy.
