다중입력영역시험에서의 대형 소프트웨어 고장률 추정 연구 (Estimating the Failure Rate of a Large Scaled Software in Multiple Input Domain Testing)

  • In this paper we introduce formulae for estimating the failure rate of a large scaled software by using the Bayesian rule when a black-box random testing which selects an element(test case) at random with equally likely probability, is performed. A program or software can be treated as a mathematical function with a well-defined (input)domain and range. For a large scaled software, their input domains can be partitioned into multiple subdomains and exhaustive testing is not generally practical. Testing is proceeding with selecting a subdomain, and then picking a test case from within the selected subdomain. Whether or not the proportion of selecting one of the subdomains is assumed probability, we developed the formulae either case by using Bayesian rule with gamma distribution as a prior distribution.

  • Tiliacora racemosa Colebr. belongs to the family Menispermaceae, the biggest storehouse of diphenylbisbenzylisoquinoline (DBBI) alkaloids. Exhaustive chemical processing of the root of T. racemosa by the application of modern separation techniques yielded a DBBI alkaloid which was identified as tiliacorine using sophisticated spectroscopic methods $(UV,\;IR,\;^1H-NMR,\;Mass)$. Tiliacorine possesses neuromuscular blocking activity. It produces a dose dependent hypotensive effect in rats and cats, and this effect is blocked by atropine.

Relay Selection Based on Rank-One Decomposition of MSE Matrix in Multi-Relay Networks

  • Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems assisted by multi-relays with single antenna are considered. Signal transmission consists of two hops. In the first hop, the source node broadcasts the vector symbols to all relays, then all relays forward the received signals multiplied by each power gain to the destination simultaneously. Unlike the case of full cooperation between relays such as single relay with multiple antennas, in our case there is no closed form solution for optimal relay power gain with respect to minimum mean square error (MMSE). Thus we propose an alternative approach in which we use an approximation of the cost function based on rank-one matrix decomposition. As a cost function, we choose the trace of MSE matrix. We give several simulation results to validate that our proposed method obtains a negligible performance loss compared to optimal solution obtained by exhaustive search.

  • In this paper, we address a single machine non-preemptive n-job scheduling problem to minimize the sum of earliness and tardiness with different release times and due dates. To solve the problem, we propose a genetic algorithm with new crossover and mutation operators to find the job sequencing. For the proposed genetic algorithm, the optimal pair of crossover and mutation rates is investigated. To illustrate the suitability of genetic algorithm, solutions of genetic algorithm are compared with solutions of exhaustive enumeration method in small size problems and tabu search method in large size problems. Computational results demonstrate that the proposed genetic algorithm provides the near-optimal job sequencing in the real world problem.

  • CIM and JIT have been known as a suitable production system under various product with small quantity production environment which demands short delivery, high quality, and flexibility. CIM is the integrated system for both automated facilities and computer information processing technology and JIT is the system for an exhaustive waste elimination. This paper proposes the JIT-CIM system which combines the concepts and characteristics of JIT and CIM. The JIT-CIM system has been implemented under the strategy of management such as market-in, integration, recycling and resonable profit and which integrates the automation facilities and information processing technology on the basis of waste elimination concept and small lot pronciple of JIT.

  • Evaluation of active safety control systems usually relies heavily on field testing and is time-consuming and costly. Advances in computer simulations make it possible to perform exhaustive design trials and evaluations before field testing, and promise to dramatically reduce development cost and cycle time. In this paper, a comprehensive simulation-based evaluation procedure is proposed, which combines standard evaluation maneuvers, worst-case techniques, and a driver model for closed-loop path following evaluations. A vehicle dynamic controller (VDC) for a popular Sport Utility Vehicle is evaluated using the proposed procedure. Simulation results show that the proposed procedure can be used to assess the performance of the VDC under various conditions and provides valuable information for the re-design of the VDC.

  • Inulin fructotransferase(depolymerizing)(EC 2.4.1.93)(inulaseII) which converts inulin into di-D-fructofuranose-1,2':2,3'-dianhydride (DFAIII) was purified from Arthrobacter ureafaciens KCTC 3387 using column chromatography on DEAE-Toyopearl 650M and gel filtration of Sephadex G-200. The enzyme was purified 7-fold with a yield of 11% from a culture supernatant. The purified enzyme gave a single band on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and the molecular weight of the enzyme was estimated to be 45,000 by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The optimum pH and temperature for the enzyme reaction were pH6.5~7.0 and $55{\circ}C$, respectively. The enzyme was stable within a pH range of 5.0 to 10.6 and up to $60^{\circ}C$. The Km of this enzyme for DFAIII production was 11.9mM. The enzyme was inactivated by $Hg^{2+}$ and after exhaustive digestion of inulin by this enzyme, 1-kestose and nystose were produced in addition of DFAIII.

Examination of Blurred Boundary and Avoidance of Modernist Grid in the Works of Toyo Ito

  • This study examines modernist grid and boundary in the works of Toyo Ito - two of the most important notions characterizing the development of Toyo Ito as an iconoclast architect. Early in his career, Ito recognized modernist architecture's inherent tendencies to establish homogenous order and divide space by function was alienating people from their context. Ito identified the notions of modernist grid and boundary as the agents of Modernism which inadvertently served to impose this systematic order and severe separation. As a reaction against these tendencies, Ito sought to avoid the use of modernist grid and blur boundary in his architecture. In Ito's career spanning over four decades, he engages in an exhaustive inquiry seeking to modify these two core elements of architecture. This study investigates these two notions in Ito's works and examines the significance of the architect's exploration in the context of Japan's Modernism.

Key Frame Assignment for Compr essed Video Based on DC Image Activity

  • In this paper, we propose a new and fast method for assigning the number of key frames to each shot. At first we segment the entire video sequence into elementary content unit called shots and then the key frame allocation is performed by calculating the accumulated value of AF(activity function). The proposed algorithm is based on the amount of content variation using DC images extracted from compressed video. By assigning the number of key frames to the shot that has the largest value of content function, one key frame is assigned at a time until you run out of given all key frames. The main advantage of our proposed method is that we do not need to use time-exhaustive computations in allocating the key frames over the shot and can perform it fully automatically.

  • 64-비트 블록 암호 Piccolo-80은 무선 센서 네트워크 환경과 같이 제한된 환경에 적합하도록 설계된 경량 블록 암호이다. 본 논문에서는 Piccolo-80에 대한 차분 오류 공격을 제안한다. 랜덤 바이트 오류 주입 가정에 기반을 둔 이 공격은 평균 6개의 랜덤 바이트 오류와 $2^{24}$의 전수조사를 이용하여, Piccolo-80의 비밀키를 복구한다. 이는 일반적인 PC에서 수 초 내에 가능함을 의미한다. 본 논문의 공격 결과는 Piccolo-80에 대한 첫 번째 부채널 분석 결과이다.
