This study is a basic step research for developing mathematics teacher education program using the potential power of explorative softwares for learning geometry. This study investigates the characteristics of the softwares and noteworthy points in its applying process. Analizing an impact of this softwares on the mathematics leaching and learning, this study presents the desirable direction for developing the teacher education program for mathematics teachers to be ableto teach successfully. Focusing on GSP as an to manage classrooms of the 21st century successfully. Focusing on GSP as an excellent explorative software used widely in the current mathematics classrooms, this study investigates the potential contents to be used in the teacher education program for mathematics teachers to get new kinds of experiences about the softwares and suggests implications for choosing contents and instructional methods of the program using the softwares.
The relationship of the teacher's recommendation and performance in gifted programs for the selected student by teacher's observations and nominations was analyzed in this study. The teacher's recommendation for 9 students selected by teacher's observations and nominations in institute of Science gifted Education of C National University of Education was analyzed for this purpose. The students were categorized into 4 groups depending on the description style and contents of the teacher's recommendation and 1 student was selected from each group for analysis. It was shown that the student, a1 who was described with cognitive characteristics of the gifted in episode style in the teacher's recommendation showed the aggressive task adherence and problem solving ability. The student, a2 who was described with emotional and social characteristics in episode style attended at the class in active attitude, but the student solved the problem by the assistance of the colleagues or the teacher. The student, b1 who was listed superficially in the teacher's recommendation showed the excellent problem solving ability based on the task adherence, experiment design ability and experiment manipulation ability. The student, b2 who was listed in superficially in the teacher's recommendation attended at the class in positive and upright attitude, but the task solving was lagged behind. It is concluded from the above results that the description on the cognitive area is necessary for the teacher's recommendation to have the usefulness in selecting gifted students.

Cooperative program planning and teaching is a strategy for developing and implementing resource based learning. This approach combines the classroom teacher's subject expertise and knowledge of the students with the teacherlibrarian's specialized knowledge of the availability and use of learning materials. And the purpose of cooperative program planning is to develop learning experiences or units of study that effectively integrate the student's resource center activities with other learning experiences. There are also some conditions that are conducive to effective planning sessions. First, the teacher-librarian must be prepared to initiate planning with teachers, rather than waiting for teachers to come to them. Second, the teacher-librarian must be prepared to present suggestions in such a way that the teacher can respond. The purpose of this study is (1) to investigate the planning process of cooperative program planning and teaching in the previous studies and (2) to find general problems when the cooperative program planning and teaching apply in actual situation. For these purposes, I chose a school library and a teacher-librarian in Seoul to observe how this cooperative program planning and teaching carry out in the school library. Main findings are summarized as follows: (1) A teacher who teaches alone for one grade is more proper to carry out the cooperative program planning and teaching. Young teachers are usually more active to change their teaching methods. (2) The cooperative program planning and teaching is a program what needs a lot of materials. When there is no right reference book in a school library, it would be good to access DB through PC telecommunication. It is also possile to contact lirarians who work in large public libraries or university libraries. (3) The cooerative program planning and teaching needs cooperative working between a teacher-librarian and a teacher. Thus a teacher-librarian should be in his school in the day time like the other teachers for the program's planning process. ( 4) There has to be a guide to change into resource based learning in teaching method. Thus the Korean Library Association or Korean Library and Information Science Society should offer a seminar or a workshop about cooperative program planning and teaching for the teacher-librarians. (5) It needs a system that a teacher-librarian can know about student's assignments so that he can prepare reference books for them. (6) The school library can be able to offer excellent service like cooperative program planning and teaching to the teachers and students according to a teacher-librarian's enthusiasm.
This study analyzed the teacher's perception for influence of behavioral characteristics of scientifically-gifted students on general students in elementary school science class. To do this, we selected the eight elementary school teachers who were conducting the regular science classes including scientifically-gifted students belonging to the gifted education institutes in Seoul and conducted individual in-depth interviews. The analysis of the results reveal that the teachers mentioned seven behavioral characteristics of scientifically-gifted students in general elementary school science classes.: 'excellent in designing and performing experiments', 'playing a leading role in experiments', 'expressing their abundant prior knowledge frequently', 'attempting their tasks with curiosity and persistence', 'displaying scientific creativity', 'often asking scientific questions in detail', and 'expressing their opinions logically'. These behavioral characteristics of scientifically-gifted students had positive effects on general students, such as 'providing them with a successful experience in conducting experiments', 'improving understanding of science class contents', 'developing scientific thinking and reflective thinking', and 'improving their students' positive experiences about science'. However, the excessive learning-driven behaviors of scientifically-gifted students had negative effects on general students, such as 'limiting opportunities for general students to participate in classes', 'conducting passive exploration centered on results', and 'causing conflicts with general students'. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

This study aims to analyze the direction of the reading education programs based on the 2015 revised curriculum and to seek the plans for the school library and the teacher librarian to be able to contribute them. For this purpose, the types of school-based reading education programs in the report of 100 excellent school curriculum in 2016, which was first applied by the amended curriculum were analyzed through multiple intelligences. Upon the analysis results, the reading education programs in the schools showed to be operated with interpersonal Intelligence. Community-aligned reading was the most frequently operated in the primary schools while student reading club activities were the most common in the middle and high schools. In case of reading education program related to linguistic intelligence, the most commonly operated ways were reading books, writing with literatures, and writing book report, in primary, middle, and high schools, respectively. In case of reading education program related to spatial intelligence, media production type showed the most commonly operated in all types of schools. However, there was no reading program related to naturalist intelligence. Based on these analysis results, the plans to contribute the activation of reading education programs by school libraries under the 2015 amended curriculum were suggested in the aspects of development of connection programs with teachers, students and parents as the center of education community, installation and operation of maker spaces and enhancement of program management and inquiry-based learning competency of teacher librarians.

The research is centered on veteran educators in the field of early childhood education who possess more than 20 years of teaching experience and have been recognized with awards for their outstanding achievements. The selection of participants was based on specific criteria, such as the number of years of experience and recognition received from the Ministry of Education's Teaching Innovation Competition in Korea. Eight teachers who met the specified criteria were selected to participate in the study. A qualitative phenomenological research study was carried out using semi-structured interviews to gain insight into the experiences and perspectives of the participants. The study identified five main themes: cultivating interpersonal relationships, establishing interactive classroom settings, providing impactful educational methodologies, facilitating healthy habits and character education, and creating a supportive environment for teachers' well-being. The study seeks to improve comprehension of teaching methodologies and offer suggestions for professional development, teacher training, and educational policies.
A survey has been administered to investigate the adequacy of the chemistry teacher employment examination. The questionnaires were sent to the professors of the fourteen departments of chemistry education all over the nation and the responses were collected from the thirteen departments. From the analyses of the responses, the problems were pointed out and the suggestions were made for the improvement of the examination to recruit excellent chemistry teachers. Reconsideration of the ratio of subject matter education to subject contents, adjustment of format and number of questions, maintaining of proper degree of difficulty and discrimination of items, reconsideration of relevancy to practical education, raising the number of committee for the examination, the reflection of the 7th science curriculum, and opening to the public of the information related to the teacher employment examination were discussed.
This study was designed to investigate the difference in the autonomous supervision and role performance according to the socio-demographic factors of the teachers. Also, the relation of the autonomous supervision and the role performance was examined. This research was conducted using the questionnaire to 394 teachers of national, public, and private kindergarten in Chung-buk province. Data were analyzed with the SPSSWIN program by the frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe post-hoc test and Pearson's correlation analysis. The results were summarized as follows: First, levels of autonomous supervision of kindergarten teachers were high in general and there were significant differences according to the institution, age, scholastic ability, and the career. The accomplishment in the public kindergarten was higher than that in the private one. Moreover, the higher the teacher's age, career, and scholastic ability, the higher the accomplishment. Second, levels of role performance of the kindergarten teachers were excellent, but the levels of role performance were higher in the public kindergarten than in the private one because the public teachers who did not transfer much had more chances of continuous education and higher responsibility. The role performance of teachers was found to be relatively higher in the kindergarten in countries than in cities because there were more public kindergartens than private ones in countries. Third, there were significant correlations between the lower factors of autonomous supervision and the role performance of the kindergarten teachers. Because the various types of the autonomous supervision can help the teacher's role performance, various types of the autonomous supervision which fit the developmental stages of the teachers will be desirable.
This study describes the impact of early childhood teacher's artistic competence on art education pedagogy and improved curriculum design. Furthermore, the effect of drama as a way of improving early childhood teacher's artistic competence is explained. Many researchers have mentioned that early childhood is a period of sensitivity and potential. Therefore, it will be helpful if children meet a teacher who understands them and inspires their innate artistic sense at a level of their eyes. It explained which aspect of artistic competence should be focused for the teacher training education. There are many approaches to develop early childhood teachers' artistic competence. Adopting drama is one of them. The strong points of drama to improve their artistic competence are as follows. Firstly, human's movement and voice are the main artistic channel in drama. What we are doing in daily life is found are drama world. It means if early childhood teachers experience drama activity, they will feel more comfortable and intimate with it. In addition, early childhood teachers tend to be familiar with dramatic play, so they can more easily access to drama world. Secondly, drama will be helpful to understand different feelings and to broaden and deepen understandings of others' standpoints. For early childhood teachers, drama activity will be helpful to understand how dramatic art form works and to lead children's play in diversified and sincere way. In addition, drama activity will be useful to build horizontal and democratic relationships between children and the teacher. It is one of the main emphases of 2019 revised Nori national curriculum. To sum up, drama will be a excellent method to develop artistic competence for early childhood teachers. Thus, it is expected that They have more opportunities to experience drama as an art form.
The purpose of this study is to improve robotics education in public education. This study was conducted with 157 secondary school teachers regardless of their gender, age and majors. The results are as follows: First, 68.2% of the respondents (81.2% of the STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)-related teachers) thought that robotics education should be included in public education because it will be a very important area in the future. Second, 73.3% of respondents (89.3% of the STEM-related teachers) agreed that robotics education will be worth teaching as a regular subject. The most important reason was that they thought the robots would be an excellent tool to initiate their class participation and increase their study motivation. Third, the results from this survey showed that the technology teachers would be the best suitable instructors for robotics education. Lastly, teachers felt a great deal of burden to teach robotics although they thought robotics education was necessary. In order to implement robotics education in public school, teachers think it is necessary to take professional training. In addition, teachers should be supported with the reduction in their workload along with sufficient fundings, educational robots such as LEGO MINDSTORMS, and newly designed teaching materials.
