The 21st century belongs to biotechnology as it made profound impact in the field of health, food, agriculture and environmental protection. India's biotechnology industry is poised to record substantial growth, perhaps even overtake the robust IT industry. The objectives of the study are to determine the existing HR practices in Biotech Industry and to understand the need for the up gradation in existing HR Policies. Conclusive and descriptive research design has been used. Data is collected from 122 employees in 23 companies of Biotech Industry. It was found that Biotechnology companies require managers with unique qualities. The lack of solid managerial training and the associated risk of failure often have long-term consequences for the careers of research professionals. The efforts to achieve excellence through a focus on learning, quality, teamwork, and reengineering are driven by the way organizations get things done and how they treat people. Biotech industry is trying to establish itself in India for last one decade but is not showing any phenomenal growth because they still do not valuing their human resource as much they should be.
The purpose of this study was to explore an intrinsic concept of 'company innovativeness' based on qualitative data obtained from 54 practitioners with at least 5 year-experience in the industry. Data were analyzed based on the grounded theory and Nvivo 2.0 program. Based on results, seven theme were generated. Seven intrinsic theme include 5 intrinsic concepts such as learning orientation, excellence of human resource, treatment for employees, market orientation and work efficiency, and 2 performance concepts such as business performance and innovation performance. These diverse concepts were considered as an important guideline in judging whether a company is innovative or not. In addition, diverse programs were provided by companies for a purpose of enhancing company innovativeness. Based on results, a research model was suggested to be elaborated in future studies. Implications and suggestions were generated based on results.
In call centers where customers contact a firm's customer service without face-to-face interaction, customer service representatives (CSRs) determine its service competitiveness. In other words, a firm's service excellence relies on its CSRs. Drawing on the concept of agility from service and information technologies studies, this study conceptualizes customer response capability as a variable consisting of customer response expertise and customer response agility, and further verifies its effects on customer service performance. Moreover, this study examines whether a firm's digital and human knowledge resources are related to CSRs' customer response capability. To empirically test the proposed hypotheses, the partial least squares analysis is conducted with a total of 371 responses collected on CSRs from two insurance call centers. The findings indicate that a firm's digital and human knowledge resources enhance CSRs' customer response expertise and customer response agility, thereby increasing customer service performance. The results draw the conclusion that CSRs' customer response capability is a key antecedent of superior customer service.
The purpose of this study was to develop indicators for quality management of educational institutions, and to achieve this, literature analysis and expert interviews were conducted. Through literature analysis, the components of TQM were derived focusing on factors to improve the quality of education, engineering education accreditation standards, and a representative education accreditation system, were considered. Additionally, seven areas as well as 32 indicators required for education quality management, were derived by comparing the EFQM excellence model and the MBNQA education model, applied for quality management of companies and institutions. By comparing and synthesizing these results, a draft was developed for the quality management index of educational institution. Next, opinions on correction and supplementation of quality management indicators derived from literature analysis, were collected from five education experts. From the comparisons and integration of these results, eight criteria (leadership, strategy, customers, people, facilities and environment, curriculum management, curriculum improvement, and performance management) and 34 indicators, were proposed for quality management indicators for educational institutions. Curriculum management, people, and performance management criteria were considered more significantly in quality management of educational institutions, and several implications are suggested based on the study results.

The objective of this study is to disclose the effect of socio-demographic characteristics such as, age and ethnicity which is comprised of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Others on four financial capability domains namely planning ahead, managing money, choosing products and staying informed. A closed ended self-administered questionnaire was disseminated to a total of 2000 respondents among four types of groups which consist of FELDA or rural area residents, private sector employees, government sector employees and youth in institutions of higher learning in Malaysia. Those four groups were selected to cover a wide range of Malaysian population. 500 respondents were involved in this study for each types of groups through purposive sampling technique. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and analysis via Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was utilized in this study. The results revealed that age has significant effect on planning ahead, managing money, choosing products and staying informed. Whereas, ethnicities were found to have no effect on financial capability except planning ahead domain. It is suggested that more devotion should be placed on research and professional training in building respondents' financial capability. Furthermore, government and non-government organizations should develop a comprehensive approach to intensify their financial capability and upgrade their standards of living especially of financially vulnerable households.
"Arts and Cultural Education Promotion Act" comes with institutionalization of arts and cultural education in Korea, and tends to mean facilitating occupational professionalism in historical perspectives. In particular, the nature of vocational identity of professional educators in arts and cultural education is the main focus of analysis and debate for human resource development. Accordingly, this study emphasizes the diversity of arts and cultural education practices and reveals that the vocational training of arts and cultural education experts should be based on various curriculum and programs which take an interdisciplinary approach. In this respect, excessive simplification of vocational identity of the experts may exert negative effect on the diversity and excellence of arts and cultural education. To meet the needs of the arts and cultural education, curriculum and training program for university level should be newly developed or revised through an interdisciplinary approach with the job analysis of practicing professionals.

Variation in demand, natural resource availability, and technological advancement within a country are the main reasons for necessitating export and import activities between nations. Accordingly, this paper aims to analyze the effect of economic openness on Multifactor Productivity (MFP) in selected Asian countries (Vietnam, Thailand, The Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore) based on data for the period 1990-2018. The analysis conducted in the study employed the panel ARDL approach based on the estimation by Pooled Mean Group (PMG), Mean Group (MG), and Dynamic Fixed Effect (DFE). The Hausman test conducted indicates that the PMG estimation is better than that of MG and DFE since it has a higher variability value than the significance value. The results revealed that economic openness is able to elicit significant and positive effects on short-term and long-term MFP growth. In addition, the study established that other variable, such as the number of schooling years, are also able to produce a positive and significant effect on MFP growth in the long term. Since economic openness can impact MFP growth, every country should thus increase its export activities through more capital and worker inputs that will stimulate greater production.

The Global Framework on Climate Services (GFCS) will guide the development of climate services that link science-based climate information and predictions with climate-risk management and adaptation to climate change. GFCS structure is made up of 5 pillars; Observations/Monitoring (OBS), Research/ Modeling/ Prediction (RES), Climate Services Information System (CSIS) and User Interface Platform (UIP) which are all supplemented with Capacity Development (CD). Corresponding to each GFCS pillar, the Commission for Agricultural Meteorology (CAgM) has been proposing "Global Initiatives in AgroMeteorology" (GIAM) in order to facilitate GFCS implementation scheme from the perspective of AgroMeteorology - Global AgroMeteorological Outlook System (GAMOS) for OBS, Global AgroMeteorological Pilot Projects (GAMPP) for RES, Global Federation of AgroMeteorological Society (GFAMS) for UIP/RES, WAMIS next phase for CSIS/UIP, and Global Centers of Research and Excellence in AgroMeteorology (GCREAM) for CD, through which next generation experts will be brought up as virtuous cycle for human resource procurements. The World AgroMeteorological Information Service (WAMIS) is a dedicated web server in which agrometeorological bulletins and advisories from members are placed. CAgM is about to extend its service into a Grid portal to share computer resources, information and human resources with user communities as a part of GFCS. To facilitate ICT resources sharing, a specialized or dedicated Data Center or Production Center (DCPC) of WMO Information System for WAMIS is under implementation by Korea Meteorological Administration. CAgM will provide land surface information to support LDAS (Land Data Assimilation System) of next generation Earth System as an information provider. The International Society for Agricultural Meteorology (INSAM) is an Internet market place for agrometeorologists. In an effort to strengthen INSAM as UIP for research community in AgroMeteorology, it was proposed by CAgM to establish Global Federation of AgroMeteorological Society (GFAMS). CAgM will try to encourage the next generation agrometeorological experts through Global Center of Excellence in Research and Education in AgroMeteorology (GCREAM) including graduate programmes under the framework of GENRI as a governing hub of Global Initiatives in AgroMeteorology (GIAM of CAgM). It would be coordinated under the framework of GENRI as a governing hub for all global initiatives such as GFAMS, GAMPP, GAPON including WAMIS II, primarily targeting on GFCS implementations.

The purpose of this study is to find out casual relationship among self-efficacy, job embeddedness, innovative behavior, and organizational citizenship behavior, which is dependent variable. With the help of information technology. To verify hypotheses such statistical analyses as factor analysis, reliability test, and path analysis by AMOS 18.0. The population of this study is employees of super deluxe hotels in korea and they are divided into two categories such as front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house respectively with same numbers. In case of mutual relationship between self-efficacy and innovative behavior, self-control and task difficultness factors significantly influence innovative behavior in case of front-of-the house employees and vice-versa in those of back-of-the-house. In case of interactive relationship between self-efficacy and organizational citizenship behavior, slightly different results are revealed between front-and back-of-the-house employees, employees, i.e. all factors are significantly related in former but not in latter.

As there has recently been a rapid increase in importance of lifelong study, the number of learners participating in lifelong educational programs is increasing geometrically and lifelong educational institutions turned out to be the best one where everyone wants to study. Hereupon, aimed at team leaders managing the whole nation lifelong institutions and teachers interacting briskly with learners, we tried to research and analyze main cause affecting performances of lifelong educational institutions of university in this study based on Resource Based View and Dynamic Capability Theory for continuous development of lifelong educational institutions and securement of the competition. The contents and results of this study run as follows First, We tried to investigate the relation between resources and performances of lifelong educational institutions of university as contents and results of this study. The results were analyzed that material resources like an easy accessibility, superiority of facilities and teachers' excellence of lifelong educational institutions have an beneficial influence. Second, We tried to understand a leading cause affecting Dynamic Capabilities of lifelong educational institutions. The analyzed results were that material and human resources like easy accessibility, superiority of facilities, superiorities of teachers and director's empowering readership as a superior and organizational culture(autonomy, interaction) affect Dynamic Capabilities. These results could be understood that lifelong educational institution characteristics of university are well reflected. Third, We tried to find that even though elements of Resource Based view are surely important, Dynamic Capabilities of the organization are more important for continuous development and growth of lifelong educational institutions. Upon investigation, we found that there were mediating effectiveness in relations between Absorptive Capability and Innovative Capability which are Dynamic Capabilities and performances. Like preceding, there wes also mediating effectiveness in relations between empowering and organizational culture(autonomy, interaction) of a superior. And to conclude, superiority of resources could contribute to developing lifelong educational institutions to some degree but considering features of lifelong educational markets rapidly changed, Dynamic Capabilities of organization are more important for continuous growth and expensive preferability.
