Seoul National University flap(SNUF) blade is a small-scale rotor blade incorporating a small trailing-edge flap control surface driven by piezoelectric actuators at higher harmonics for vibration attenuation. Initially, the blade was designed using two-dimensional cross-section analysis and geometrically exact one-dimensional beam analysis, and its material configuration was finalized. A flap-deflection angle of ${\pm}4^{\circ}$ was established as the criterion for enhanced vibration reduction based on an earlier simulation. The flap-linkage mechanism was designed and static bench tests were conducted for verifying the performance of the flap-actuation mechanism. Different versions of test beds were developed and tested with the designed flap and the selected APA 200M piezoelectric actuators. Through significant improvements, a maximum deflection of ${\pm}3.7^{\circ}$ was achieved. High-frequency experiments were conducted for evaluating the performance, and the transfer function of the test bed was determined experimentally. With the static tests almost complete, the rotor power required for testing the blade in a whirl tower (centrifugal environment) was calculated, and further preparations are underway.

This work presents o novel method which extract facial region und features from motion picture automatically and controls the 3D facial expression in real time. To txtract facial region and facial feature points from each color frame of motion pictures a new nonparametric skin color model is proposed rather than using parametric skin color model. Conventionally used parametric skin color models, which presents facial distribution as gaussian-type, have lack of robustness for varying lighting conditions. Thus it needs additional work to extract exact facial region from face images. To resolve the limitation of current skin color model, we exploit the Hue-Tint chrominance components and represent the skin chrominance distribution as a linear function, which can reduce error for detecting facial region. Moreover, the minimal facial feature positions detected by the proposed skin model are adjusted by using edge information of the detected facial region along with the proportions of the face. To produce the realistic facial expression, we adopt Water's linear muscle model and apply the extended version of Water's muscles to variation of the facial features of the 3D face. The experiments show that the proposed approach efficiently detects facial feature points and naturally controls the facial expression of the 3D face model.
The development of wireless communication MAC layer is usually released as SoC which is a combination in hardware and software. In this system development environment, an environment for software development and verification is necessary because the hardware development takes a lot of time priori to completion. In integrated development of hardware and software, simulation environment of hardware and software provided by hardware modeling using HDL at RTL and ISS respectively. By increasing the development complexity of system, ESL design modeling systems at higher abstraction level than RTL has already prompted. The ESL design is divided untime model and time model. This paper present design and implementation of MCU for untime model simulation, not time model. Proposed MCU can optimize the system at early step of system development and move up the development completion time by verifying the system function easily and rapidly than part required exact time in untime model. In this paper, we present an MCU module based on SystemC and UC/OS-II Module providing real-time operate system.

Purpose: This study was done to analyze how a death preparation education program have the effects on awareness of hospice palliative care and withdrawing life sustaining treatment in older adults. Methods: This study employed a non-equivalent control group design among quasi-experimental designs. The experimental group was comprised with 35 adults and the control group with 40 adults. The death preparation program consisted of five two-hour sessions and was administered once a week for five straight weeks. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ${\chi}^2$ test, Fisher's exact test, and ANCOVA using SPSS version 18.0. Results: The mean age of the participants was 66.2 years. A significant difference between the experimental and control groups was observed in withdrawing life sustaining treatment (F=3.380, P=0.040). However, no significant difference was found in awareness of hospice palliative care (F=0.163, P=0.850). Conclusion: The study results indicate that death preparation training could positively affect people's awareness of withdrawing life sustaining treatment. More studies should be conducted to explore effects of death preparation education for all ages and help people better understand hospice palliative care.
Increasing amount of digital images requires more accurate and faster way of image retrieval. So far, image retrieval method includes content-based retrieval and keyword based retrieval, the former utilizing visual features such as color and brightness and the latter utilizing keywords which describe the image. However, the effectiveness of these methods as to providing the exact images the user wanted has been under question. Hence, many researchers have been working on relevance feedback, a process in which responses from the user are given as a feedback during the retrieval session in order to define user’s need and provide improved result. Yet, the methods which have employed relevance feedback also have drawbacks since several feedbacks are necessary to have appropriate result and the feedback information can not be reused. In this paper, a novel retrieval model has been proposed which annotates an image with a keyword and modifies the confidence level of the keyword in response to the user’s feedback. In the proposed model, not only the images which have received positive feedback but also the other images with the visual features similar to the features used to distinguish the positive image are subjected to confidence modification. This enables modifying large amount of images with only a few feedbacks ultimately leading to faster and more accurate retrieval result. An experiment has been performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model and the result has demonstrated rapid increase in recall and precision while receiving the same number of feedbacks.

This study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of a nonviolent communication program on nurse's interpersonal competence, job stress and spiritual wellness. This study was a inequality similar to the control group experimental design study of repeated measurements before and after. The data for this study were collected from June 1 to October 20, 2013 from 29 clinical nurses. The self-administered questionnaires used consisted of questions regarding general characteristics, interpersonal competence, job stress and spiritual wellness. The results were: 1. For interpersonal competence, the interaction between time and group was significant (F = 7.726, p = 0.002). 2. For job stress analysis, the interaction between time and group was not significant (F = 0.142, p = 0.851). 3. For spiritual wellness, the interaction between time and group was significant (F = 31.355, p < .001). These results suggest that the nonviolent communication program had a positive effect on rejected clinical nurse's interpersonal competence and spiritual wellness, but not on job stress. A follow-up replication study will be necessary.
This paper proposed to a detection scheme of weather information that is a part of CCTV Images Weather Detection System using CCTV images and Temperature, Humidity. The previous Partial Weather Detection System uses how to acquire weather information using images on the Road. In the system the contrast and RGB Values using clear images are gained. This information is distributed a input images to cloud, rain, snow and fog images. That is, this information is compared the snow and the fog images for acquisition more correctness information us ing difference images and binary images. Currently, We use to environment sense system, but we suggest a new Weather Detection Algorithm to detect weather information using CCTV images. Our algorithm is designed simply and systematically to detect and separate special characteristics of images from CCTV images. and using temperature & humidity in formation. This algorithm, there is more complex to implement than how to use DB with high overhead of time and space in the previous system. But our algorithm can be implement with low cost' and can be use the system in real work right away. Also, our algorithm can detect the exact information of weather with adding in formation including temperature, humidity, date, and time. At last, this paper s how the usefulness of our algorithm.
During cleaning and shaping of narrow and curved canals, it is very difficult or nearly impossible to maintain the original canal shape. Procedural accidents such as, ledge, zipping, perforation, and instrument breakage are frequently occurred and even may lead to failure of endodontic therapy. To prevent these kinds of accidents, various instrumentation techniques and materials have been introduced. Recently some nickel titanium (NiTi) files are introduced and it is reported that These NiTi files created rounder preparations with less transportation than conventional instruments in curved canals. This study compared the change of the canal curvature and procedural accidents after instrumentation produced by stainless steel K-flexo file, and NiTi rotary files (Profile 29 and Quantec 2000). Thirty narrow and curved canals (25-45 degree) of extracted human molars were randomly divided into three groups. In group 1, canals were instrumented using a step-back and watch-winding/pull motion with K-flexo files. In group 2, canals were prepared with Profile 29. Group 3, canals were prepared with Quantec 2000 files. Before and after preparation of canals, periapical radiographs were taken and scanned. The change of canal curvature were measured using Photoshop 4.0 program and the incidence of procedural accidents were also evaluated. The results were as follows: 1. All group showed some loss of canal curvature after instrumentation. 2. Average loss of canal curvature was $6.70{\pm}5.31$ degree for group 1, $3.80{\pm}2.57$ degree for group 2, and $5.40{\pm}4.83$ degree for group 3. All group There was significant change in curvature between before and after instrumentation (p<0.05). But there was no statistical difference amoung 3 groups. 3. In group I, there were no procedural accidents, such as ledging, perforation, or instrument fracture. In group 2, two cases of ledge and one case of instrument fracture were produced Goup 3, each one case of ledge, perforation and instrument fracture were occurred. Whthin the limits of above results, It seems that NiTi rotary instrumentation is not All Mighty and if we use uncarefully, it is more dangerous to produce some procedural accidents than conventional hand files. But more studies should be taken to evaluate the exact effects of NiTi rotary instrumentations.

The shell due to the effect of initial normal pressures on the shell surface was based on the assumption that the directions of the pressures are always normal to the undeformed shell surface, and that the change in the surface area of the shell is negligible. But the fact that the pressure are always normal to the deforming surface leads "follower force". The follower effect in the analysis can significantly alter the solution for natural frequency and buckling load as compared to the case when the direction of the pressures are assumed to be normal to the uniform shell surface. The expression for the part of strain energy contribution from normal pressure due to the effect of follower force was derived and added to the element stiffness matrix of axisymmetric shell. In the case of increasing external pressure, the natural frequencies decrease until one of them reaches zero. Theoretically the smallest applied load that reduces the frequency of any mode to zero, will have same magnitude as that of the buckling load. In order to determine the bucking load of the shell a few sets of frequencies are computed and the results considering the follower effects are well with the exact solution while the case without that are quite different. But in case of hemispherical dome, there are little difference in buckling pressure between with and without the effect of follower force.
This paper presents some studies on the Internet TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol-Internet Protocol) traffic over ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) UBR(Unspecified Bit Rate) and ABR(Available Bit Rate) classes of service. Fuzzy logic prediction has been used to improve the efficiency and fairness of traffic throughput. For TCP/IP over UBR, a novel fuzzy logic based cell dropping scheme is presented. This is referred to as fuzzy logic selective cell drop (FSCD). A key feature of the scheme is its ability to accept or drop a new incoming packet dynamically based on the predicted future buffer condition in the switch. This is achieved by using fuzzy logic prediction for the production of a drop factor. Packet dropping decision is then based on this drop factor and a predefined threshold value. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme significantly improves TCP/IP efficiency and fairness. To study TCP/IP over ABR, we applied the fuzzy logic ABR service buffer management scheme from our previous work to both approximate and exact fair rate computation ER(Explicit cell Rate) switch algorithms. We then compared the performance of the fuzzy logic control with conventional schemes. Simulation results show that on zero TCP packet loss, the fuzzy logic control scheme achieves maximum efficiency and perfect fairness with a smaller buffer size. When mixed with VBR traffic, the fuzzy logic control scheme achieves higher efficiency with lower cell loss.
