VigiAccess를 통한 WHO의 약물 이상사례 보고 현황 검색과 그 활용 가능성 탐색 : 비만 치료제를 중심으로 (Investigating the Status of WHO VigiAccess Adverse Drug Event Reporting and Exploring its Potential for Application Using Anti-Obesity Agents as Examples)

  • Objectives: This study reviewed the status of adverse event (AE) reporting in VigiAccess using anti-obesity agents as examples and explored the possibility of its use and future challenges. Methods: AE reports related to some representative drugs among herbal medicines (HMs), complex HM prescriptions, ingredients of supplements, and over-the-counter and prescription medicines were investigated using VigiAccess on February 1, 2024. Results: AE reports on prescription drugs were overwhelmingly higher than those on HMs or supplements. Although most reports were submitted from North America, reports on Ephedra sinica and green tea extract (GTE) were more from Asia and Europe, respectively. The female population reported more, and the difference in the sex ratio was the smallest for Ephedra spp. The age group was concentrated on young adults, but many older patients reported GLP-1 receptor agonist-related AEs. Symptoms related to the gastrointestinal and nervous systems were most commonly reported, but mental and cardiac disorders were common in Ephedra-type HMs. Hepatobiliary disorders are also commonly found in GTE-related reports. Conclusions: VigiAccess was useful for easily checking the global status of AE reporting for prescription drugs. However, several limitations were observed in using VigiAccess for HMs because of the few reports. Thus, it is necessary to increase the number of reports by education and to promote AE reporting among HM prescribers and users. The full range of HMs should be included in the pharmacovigilance system, and the coding and classification of HMs should be revised.

즉각적 재인 기억과 지연 재인 기억이 사건과련전위에 미치는 영향 (The effect of immediate and delayed recognition memory on event-related potential(ERP))

  • 즉각적 재인 기억과 지연 재인 기억이 사건관련전위에 미치는 영향을 연속재인 과제를 사용하여 조사하였다. 240개의 자극 단어 중에서 100개는 즉각적으로 반복제시되었고 100개는 5개의 간섭 단어 후에 지연 반복제시되었으며 40개는 반복제시되지 않았다 .반복제시된 단어 중 처음 제시된 경우와 전혀 반복제시 되지 않은 단어를 새로운 단어로이름하였다. 새로운 단어와 지연 반복제시된 단어에 비해 즉각적으로 반복제시된 단어에 대한 반응시간이 유의하게 빨랐고, 재인정확율도 높았다. 사건관련전위를 분석한 결과 즉각적 반복제시 단어에서는 P300의 진폭이 감소하였고 잠복기가 짧았던 반면 지연 반복제시 단어에서는 P300의 진폭이 감소하였고 잠복기가 길었다. 그리고 즉각적 반복제시 단어에서는 N400이 관찰되지 않은 반면 새로운 단어와 자연 반복제시 단어에서는 N400이 관찰되었다. 자극제시 조건에 따른 사건관련전위는 자극 제시 310ms이후부터 서로 다른 양상을 보이기 시작하였다. 본 연구 결과는 즉각적 재인 기억과 지연 재인기억이 서로 분리될 있다는 것, 다시 말하면 서로 다른 대뇌 기전에 근거하고 있을 가능성이 높다는 것을 시사한다. 단어에 대한 즉각적 및 지연 재인을 형판 비교와 기억 탐색의 관점에서의 논의하였다.

  • Siphons and traps are special structures of Petri nets with closely related to liveness for the deadlock analysis of Discrete Event Dynamic Systems. It can analysis the liveness of Petri nets using the siphon and trap without to check reachability.[1] Deadlock analysis approach we proposed is based on the notion of potential deadlock which are siphons that eventually become empty. And in this paper, we proposed a initial marking method by siphon to avoid and to prevent deadlock. It is shown that our approach is more efficient than classical state enumeration approach.

  • Several statistical models for bivariate poisson data are suggested and used to analyze 2011 K-league data. Our interest is composed of two purposes: The first purpose is to exploit potential attacking and defensive abilities of each team. Particular, a bivariate poisson model with diagonal inflation is incorporated for the estimation of draws. A joint model is applied to estimate an association between poisson distribution and probability of draw. The second one is to investigate causes on scoring time of goals and a regression technique of recurrent event data is applied. Some related future works are suggested.

석유화학 공정의 가상사고 시나리오 유형분석 (Typical Pseudo-accident Scenarios in the Petrochemical Process)

  • This paper presents a set of typical pseudo-accident scenarios related to major equipments in petrochemical plants, which would be useful for performing such quantitative risk analysis techniques as fault tree analysis, event tree analysis, etc. These typical scenarios address what the main hazard of each equipment might be and how the accident might develop from an "initiating event". The proposed set of accident scenarios consists of total thirteen (13) scenarios specific for five (5) major equipments like reactor, distillation column, etc., and has been determined and screened out of one hundred and twenty-five (125) potential accident scenarios that were generated by performing semi-quantitative risk analysis practically for twenty-five (25) petrochemical processes, considering advices from the operation experts. It is assumed that with simple consideration or incorporation of plant-specific conditions only, the proposed accident scenarios could be easily reorganized or adapted for the relevant process with less time and labor by the safety engineers concerned in the petrochemical industries.ndustries.

Construction of morphological filter for single trial recording of event-related potentials

  • We constructed morphological filter for single sweep records of event-related potential (ERP), especially P300 waveform. By combining 4 basic operations; erosion, dilation, opening and closing, we can derive any desired filters whose property fits the current objectives. The morphological filter for single sweep records of ERP was constructed by taking account of the features of the signal and noise components. The morphological filter has superior properties of separating the signal ancl the noise even existing within a same frequency band. The constructed morphological filter was tested by using simulation data of ERP and then applied to actual ERP data of a normal subject. The results proved that the constructed morphological filter was an appropriate tool for single sweep records of ERP.

청각 기반 뇌-컴퓨터 인터페이스 구현을 위한 골전도 이어폰의 활용 가능성 (Feasibility of Bone Conduction Earphones for Auditory Brain-Computer Interface)

  • Auditory stimuli are commonly used in various electroencephalogram experiments, also in EEG-based brain-computer interface systems. However, using conventional earphones that blocks the ear canal attenuates or even blocks external environmental sound which might cause loss of crucial information from surroundings. Instead, bone-conductive earphones are able to deliver sound through vibration without blocking the ear canal. To investigate the feasibility of the bone-conductive earphones for auditory-stimuli based experiments, we compared N100 event-related potential features as well the event-related spectral perturbation and inter-trial coherence of auditory steady-state response between conventional and bone-conductive earphones. The results showed no significant differences between bone conduction and conventional earphones regardless of distinct sound pressures. This result shows that bone conductive earphones can be used for auditory experiments when the environmental sound is crucial to the user.

  • Quantitative evaluation of the sense of smell is done by the olfactory event-related potential (OERP) test. OERP consists of N1, P1, N2, P2, and P3, of which N1 and P1 latency are known to be affected by the concentration of odor stimuli associated with the pre-sensory phase and P2 and P3 are the stages at which odors are perceived and are known to change by subjective evaluation of the stimulus. The purpose of this study was to clarify the correlation between the expression of OERP and the subjective evaluation of the object on the fragrance stimulus using various fragrances. Therefore, the study examined the relative waveform power ratio, preference for each scent stimulus, and finally the amplitude and latency change of the components of OERP, N1 and P2. In contrast, it was found that the late P2 response waveform was an effective aroma stimulus recognition waveform in OERP compared to the initial response waveforms.
