Transcranial Doppler Study in Stroke (뇌졸중에서의 경두개 초음파 검사)

  • Transcranial Doppler(TCD) is an important diagnostic tool for evaluating the patients with stroke. It has some advantages and unique role when compared with other neuroimaging modalities. Recent development of transcranial color-coded Doppler(TCD) improves the limitation and pitfalls of TCD. The current indications of TCD are as follows: 1. Screening and evaluation of the intracranial major vessels 2. early detection and follow-up of vasospasm due to SAH 3. emboli detection (high-imtensity transient signals, HITs) 4. dignosis and follow-up of subclavian steal 5. evaluation of intracranial collaterals when the extracranial ICA has severe stenosis or occlusion 6. evaluation of cerebral perfusion pressure (intracranial pressure) 7. evaluation of arteriovenous malformation 8. diagnosis and follow-up of arterial dissenction 9. diagnosis and follow-up of venous sinus thrombosis (experimental).

  • Currently available evaluation checklists are developed for specific purposed using different parameters and items determined by different weighting factors. Those items with different weighting are sometimes said that they are based on the engineering judgement and leap of faith and, therefore, there is a limitation to adapt those checklists for slope-stability evaluation in the field. This study reviews factors affecting slope stability, analyze the relationship between those factors and slope failures using artificial neural network, and proposed a slope-stability evaluation model for adequate weighting for the factors.

  • This paper presents the unified reliability evaluation technique of distribution system. To calculate accurate reliabi1ity and reliability indices which can consider line limitation and voltage drop of distribution system, we employed the deterministic evaluation technique with PLOC technique. And to evaluate the distribution system, we presented the evaluating method which is based on Analytic network process. As a result, we can evaluate the distribution system and build the expansion planning of the system considering system load and reliability indices.

  • This provided a basic frame to analyze the investment effect on the road, railroad, airport and port as a national dimension but it still has a limitation to analyze the specific economic and financial validities to consider the characteristics of the traffic facilities within the area. Conclusively, the aims of this study provide the reasonable evaluation guidelines effectively to the local automatic groups, especially Chungju in the frame of the present evaluation guidelines. We provide the adaptive alternatives on the present systems which are difficult to adapt to the present investment evaluation guidelines; the estimation method of the social economic index and the estimation method of the traffic demand. Additionally, we discuss the research method of the passage actual state for a reasonable estimation of the traffic demand. The result of this study will be activated for the validity check and construction plan of the reasonable traffic investment plan of Chungju city.

A Usability Evaluation Method Based on the Lostness of Unit Action for Coding Education Software (코딩 교육용 소프트웨어에 대한 단위 행동 손실률 기반의 사용성 평가 방법)

  • In this paper, we first point out the limitation of the existing methods in usability evaluation, and propose a new method to find tasks and users that can cause problems in the use of software applications. To deal with object-based applications, we define unit actions and divide a given task into the sequence of unit actions. Then, we propose a new measure to calculate the degree of lostness for the unit actions. In several experiments, we show the proposed method can represent the usability well while the previous method has a problem in object-based applications. We also find that the user's evaluation is more related to the proposed method than the previous method based on execution time through correlation analysis.

  • As structure and the waterproofing material are compressed through the backfilling process after the waterproofing material is installed on the underground structure at the actual site, there is a difference between the behavioral response force of the waterproofing material in the compressed state and the behavioral response force in the non-constrained state. In this regard, we will analyze the limitations of the current structural behavioral response evaluation and suggest an improvement plan so that the future test and evaluation environment can be evaluated under conditions similar to the field.

MBTI-based Recommendation for Resource Collaboration System in IoT Environment

  • In IoT(Internet of Things) environment, users want to receive customized service by users' personal device such as smart watch and pendant. To fulfill this requirement, the mobile device should support a lot of functions. However, the miniaturization of mobile devices is another requirement and has limitation such as tiny display. limited I/O, and less powerful processors. To solve this limitation problem and provide customized service to users, this paper proposes a collaboration system for sharing various computing resources. The paper also proposes the method for reasoning and recommending suitable resources to compose the user-requested service in small device with limited power on expected time. For this goal, our system adopts MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) to analyzes user's behavior pattern and recommends personalized resources based on the result of the analyzation. The evaluation in this paper shows that our approach not only reduces recommendation time but also increases user satisfaction with the result of recommendation.

  • The contaminant seperation performance of fitters has been widely investigated for many years. However, most of the proposed filter assessment techniques have proven disappointing for practical use. Although the Multipass (Beta) Filtration test method (ISO 4572) provides valuable information in assessing fi ters, it has a limitation on evaluating the increasing family of low-flow and high Beta filters. The limitation stems from two main sources: the over simplified theoretical model and the inherently complicated procedure in analysis of data. Hence a new advanced filtration theory, the Beta Prime developed on a draw-down test basis is applied to predict field operating characteristics of a filter for tractor hydraulic systems in this study.

  • The effort for GSI based IT system consolidation has been continued due to the increase of the system and complication increase of system connection, mainly by the global company. Since successful example of GSI realization by part of developed company affect to Korea, global level IT system consolidation has been examined mainly by the domestic company that have great deal of overseas business. Although they have examined consolidation possibility mainly on R&D, finance, operation management part which is the base part of company management, there are limitation for consolidation realization because of the difference between regional business problem of huge cost needed for consolidation. To overcome these realization limitations, it is necessary to lead risk and cost reduction through stepwise part unity and decide Priority Evaluation Framework for Consolidation target and systematic consolidation strategy. For GSI realization, appropriate distributions of unification time according to target system are needed. In this study, based on easiness and usefulness of consolidation and connection between the targets, evaluation methodology for Priority Evaluation Framework of system consolidation has been developed. Priority Evaluation Framework has been decided by applying developed methodology to global production company of high tech industrial part. Through this methodology, companies can realize successful and stable GSI by investing global resources intensively by Priority Evaluation Framework of consolidation target system.

The Calculation of the Traffic Safety Evaluation Index of Cities (도시의 교통안전도 평가지수 산정)

  • Traffic safety evaluation of a city or area on the basis of the accident rate has a limitation that its result is dependent on the characteristics of population. In this paper. we developed a methodology of taking simultaneously the population into account in evaluating the safety, and calculated the traffic safety evaluation index of 25 local governments in the metropolitan area. Based on the result of calculation of the traffic safety evaluation index, it is identified that the proposed approach is able to be an alternative to cooperatively consider various population. The correlation coefficients between the traffic safety evaluation index I(X) which is cooperatively consider the population size and road length, and population based F(P) and road length based F(L) are 0.68 and 0.92 respectively. This means that the proposed approach can overcome the limitation which safety evaluation index are differently calculated according to the characteristics of population. The methodology and traffic safety evaluation index proposed in this paper can be utilized in executing the traffic safety policies for local governments and areas.
