A Review of Ecosystem Service Studies: Concept, Approach and Future Work in Korea

  • In South Korea, the conflict between development and conservation policy still exist among government ministries, and conventional development plan often has priority over conservation policy. Establishment of sustainable development and comprehensive management policy employing the results of ecosystem service studies are highly warranted, but researchers in South Korea are still limited and often misuse the concept of ecosystem services. Thus, we aimed to introduce the concept of Ecosystem Service (ES) and related terminologies such as Social-Ecological Systems (SESs), ecosystem function, trade-off, and human well-being in this paper. Additionally, this article reviewed and arranged key approaches in ES studies as follows: 1) field works, 2) mapping ecosystem services, 3) valuing ES, 4) quantifying trade-offs between ES and 5) understanding SESs. Based on those results, we suggest that field works for basic information have the first priority to be conducted among ES studies. Once basic information is sufficiently accumulated, researchers can perform applied ES research with accuracy. Finally, results of ES studies conducted by five approaches allow decision makers to consider both natural system and society simultaneously, and hence the results can be utilized for sustainable development and conservation policy based on ecosystem-based management.

State of the Art on Terrestrial Radionavigation System and Its Applications for Maritime PNT Service

  • This paper addresses on the International technical trends, standards, and development status of terrestrial radionavigation system to provide more accurate and fail-safe Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Information available in maritime navigation environment. We analyze the performance result of pilot service in enhanced Long range navigation (eLoran) testbed environment using Low Frequency (LF) signal, and describe the development status of Ranging-Mode (R-Mode) system using Medium Frequency (MF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) to meet the Harbor Entrances and Approaches (HEA) requirement of International Maritime Organization (IMO) within 10m position accuracy. Furthermore, we present an architecture for integrated service of satellite-terrestrial navigation system and future maritime applicable fields. As the core information infrastructure of future navigation for 4th industrial revolution, this paper will be contributed to determining the direction of present and future to provide fail-safe PNT service with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) based on the technical enhancement of terrestrial integrated navigation system.

Context Aware Services using Multi-Environmental Sensors and Its application for Ubiquitous Home Networks

  • As we go about our daily lives, people often collect surrounding information and adapt to the situation. Computer development trends show that one wants computers to work like human beings, i.e. computers can sense its context and adapt corresponding to context changes. To implement this expectation, a context aware service layer is needed. In this layer, sensors capture its environment and send this information to the service center. Considering received information as its context, the service center seeks the suitable operation according to the context. Tills paper presents a context aware service which is applied in controlling air-conditioner. The air-conditioner includes sensors which are installed at some special positions in a room. Each of these sensors gathers comfort-influenced information like temperature, humidity and sends them to air-conditioner. The air-conditioner adapts its operation to the environment according to the sensed information. To control the air-conditioner effectively, we use a genetic algorithm which is suitable in adaptation issues. The simulation shows that the room condition can be maintained at a comfortable level by using context-aware services in the operation of the air-conditioning system.

지리정보분석시스템을 활용한 공공서비스로서의 도시공원 입지특성 평가 - 충북 청주시를 대상으로 - (Assessment on Location Characteristics of Urban Park as Public Service Using Geographic Information Analysis System: Focused on Cheongju City)

  • The Purpose of this research was to propose positioning strategies of urban park (UP) based on the assessment of location characteristics at cheongju city. To do that, this research found out urban park service area (UPSA) using GIS network analysis and built socio-economic attribute database, UP map, and other public service thematic maps such as public transportation, education, child-care, and convenience services. And this research analyzed spatial and attribute data using Pearson's correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, and binary logistic regression methods. As a result of this analysis, 1) the nearer neighborhood park and children's park, the higher land price and assumption income level (AIL). 2) children's parks were closed to living convenience facilities such as bank, hospital, and convenience store. 3) land price, AIL, population, and other public services level (PSL) in UPSA were higher than that of non-UPSA. 4) The higher land price, AIL, population, and other PSL, the higher urban park service level. The results of this research may contribute to resolve the regional UP unbalance and to improve UP service level as public service.

  • 1인 1미디어 시대에 휴대 저널리즘이라 불리는 1인 저널리즘은 다양하고도 풍부한 내용의 자료를 생산해내고 있다. 기존에 단순히 정보를 습득했던 사용자들이 콘텐츠를 제작해내는 생산자로 변모하면서 그들이 생성한 수많은 콘텐츠는 개개인의 고유한 관심을 반영하며 사회 전반에 걸친 이슈를 다루고 있다. 우리는 이러한 콘텐츠 생산자들이 만들어 내는 방대한 양의 내용 중에서 환경 관련 콘텐츠를 위한 미디어 플랫폼인 EcoMap을 제안한다. 이러한 환경 미디어 플랫폼 EcoMap을 통하여 환경의식 고취, 환경관련 정보 제공 및 정보 공유의 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

  • U-City 기반시설의 구성요소는 지능화된 시설, 정보통신망, 통합운영센터로 구분되며, 기존 연구에서의 U-City기반시설은 효율적인 운영 관리의 필요성을 제시하고 있다. 그러나 그 중 법에서 정의하는 내용과 다르게 해석하는 경우가 지능화된 시설에서 빈번히 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제의식을 토대로 국내 지능화시설 관련 법제도 및 운영관리의 문제점 등을 종합적으로 분석하여 지능화시설의 효율적 활용을 위한 통합운영방안을 마련하고자 한다. 이를 위해 관련 법제도와 실무담당자 인터뷰를 통해 지능화시설의 현황 및 문제점을 파악하고, 지능화 시설에서 생성된 도시정보 및 설치위치를 모두 포함한 통합 활용의 필요성을 도출하였다. 현재 정부부처 및 지자체는 ICT를 활용한 다양한 정보시스템을 구축 운영하고 U-City법에서는 통합적 관리 운영을 명시하고 있으나, 시설 운영주체에 대한 구체적인 책임과 권한에 관한 정의는 명확히 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이를 효율적으로 운영하기 위해 설치된 장비와 여기서 생성된 도시정보를 공동으로 활용할 수 있는 관련 부서 간 원활한 조정이 가능한 추진체계가 필요하다. 본 연구는 지능화시설의 관련법 및 법규들에 대한 논리적 연계의 관계를 정립하여 효율적인 지능화시설 설치 및 관리를 위해 일원화된 법적 시스템의 체계를 마련하고자 한다. 이를 통해 지능화시설의 통합연계 및 활용을 위한 관리체계의 기초 토대가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

The Design of Data Hub System for Integration of Group In the Cloud Environment

  • For a recent most companies to make efficient business management, we are using a groupware service of integrated information system of the entire group. Groupware service integrates the cooperation in excellent synergy and duplicates has been business functions of the business, through the improvement of multi-purpose business processing capacity, there is an advantage of reduced operating costs. However, if the parent company and subsidiary, or to handle common tasks such information agency, which may cause differences in the format of the data passed in the case of a need to provide a document. Therefore, in this paper, in order to solve the heterogeneity problem in data between groups, the data system of the hub base of the cloud is provided. The proposed system is intended to improve the groupware environment including the interoperability of integrated standardized environmental data sharing service.

패션정보기획의 체계화를 위한 국내 패션정보산업의 고찰 (The Study on Domestic Fashion Information Service Industry for Systematization of Fashion Trend Information Planning Process)

  • The field of textile and fashion is regard to be sensitive to trend, however, the professional fashion information planning company for trend forecasting has not settled down in Korea. This study was designed to propose systemizing for fashion trend information planning in domestic fashion information service market. The empirical research was conducted by analysing in-depth interview data and news-scrap contents about each fashion information planning company. The result are as follows; First, fashion information service showed a little difference according to the type of fashion information companies, but they provided not only general fashion trends but also external market environmental information, survey-based consumer information and various segmented market research reports including academic information. Second, the fashion information planning process is largely divided into 3 stages; trend analysis, trend forecasting, trend application. The trend application step is the stage which connects the fashion information service industry to the fashion business. Thirdly, as a result of the competitive power evaluation for fashion information planning, the domestic fashion information planning companies came to reveal the fact that the possibility of carrying out and information analysis power were weak, however, how to present trend information had a relatively competitive. Consequently, this study is expected to play a role in understanding the importance of fashion trend information, and further ahead it would be helpful to organize the curriculum of fashion information planning subject in order to educate the future fashion executives.

차량호출 모빌리티 서비스 지속이용의도의 영향요인 및 조절요인 연구 (The Influencing Factors and Moderating Factors on Intention to Continuously Use Car-Hailing Mobility Service)

  • 정보통신기술(ICT) 혁신과 함께 모빌리티(Mobility) 서비스가 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 최근 사용자의 수요에 맞는 온디맨드(On-demand)형 모빌리티 플랫폼 시장이 성장세에 있으며, 스마트폰을 활용하여 사용자들이 보다 편리하게 서비스를 호출하고 실시간으로 연결 상황을 확인하며 이용할 수 있는 환경이 제공되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 카카오 택시, UT 택시 등과 같은 차량호출 모빌리티 서비스를 중심으로 이에 대한 사용자의 인식과 경험 현황을 조사하고, 차량호출서비스의 지속사용의도에 대한 영향요인을 환경적/도구적 혜택과 드라이버/플랫폼에 대한 신뢰에 초점을 두고 분석하였다. 특히, 본 연구는 혁신성과 ICT 활용정도에 따라서 이들 영향력 관계가 달라질 수 있는지 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 인지된 혜택(환경적 혜택, 편리성 및 경제성의 도구적 혜택)과 드라이버에 대한 신뢰가 플랫폼에 대한 신뢰를 높이는데 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 플랫폼에 대한 신뢰가 높으면 차량호출서비스의 지속사용의도가 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 개인의 혁신성 정도에 따라 인지된 환경적 혜택과 경제성 혜택이 플랫폼 신뢰도에 미치는 영향력이 다르게 나타났고, ICT 활용정도에 따라서 편리성 및 경제성 혜택의 플랫폼 신뢰도에 대한 영향력이 다르게 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 참조하여, 모빌리티 서비스 제공자들은 차량호출서비스에 대한 사용자들의 인식과 신뢰도의 현주소를 파악하고 개인의 특성에 맞는 서비스 홍보 전략을 구사할 수 있을 것이다.
