Recently, a number of researches acknowledge the importance of 'reflection' and 'reflective teacher education,' and they highlight the implication of 'reflection' on the teacher's profession or the teacher education. The reflective thought is interpreted as a subject that should be taught or a sort of strategy that a teacher should learn, while the aspect is excluded that reflection is the interaction between the innate knowledge and the practice. As a result, the reflective teacher education programs that increase the level of reflection are developed and practiced, and the reflection is accepted as a tool for increasing teacher professionalism. Reflective teaching is en essential and basic element for the development of teacher knowledge. In particular, such teacher knowledge might be being gradually expanded by a teacher's self-assessment on reflection on his own instruction. For this reason, this study develops an assessment framework on instruction which is comprized of teacher knowledge and instructional process. To accomplish this, in this study, teacher knowledge is considered as a whole practice knowledge combined by subject matter knowledge, understanding of learners, teaching and learning methods and assessment, and instructional environment. Also, success on instruction in mathematics class might depend on the acquisition of teacher knowledge, instructional planning, instructional execution, and furthermore reflection on instruction. Especially, this study emphasizes that 'reflection on instruction', the most important step of instruction be reflected and examined by the teacher himself.
The purpose of this study was to understand barrier factors affecting nutrition education jobs and determining priorities according to frequency of occurrence of obstacles. Focus group interview (FGI) was conducted on 11 nutrition teachers, and the result are summarized by the phenomenological analysis method. The barriers of nutrition education consisted of three categories, seven themes, and 10 sub-themes. The three categories were divided into work burden, recognition of nutrition education, and limitations of the nutrition education environment. Recognition of nutrition education was further divided into internal recognition from nutrition teachers and individual and external recognition from students and staff. The results showed that the most frequent barrier experienced by nutrition teachers in the work burden category was heavy work loads of foodservice management, followed by irrational working environment. In addition, limitations of the nutrition education environment consisted of absence of standard curriculum and textbooks, inadequate education infrastructure, and inadequate class time. To improve this, it is necessary to reduce nutrition teacher's food service management and develop standard curriculum and educational materials for nutrition education.

Computers have become an indispensable part of everyday lives in 21st century. This is particularly true in early childhood education; multimedia use in kindergarten has rapidly grown in the last decade. Although ample research had been done on the issues of teachers' role in multimedia settings and selecting quality materials, few studies have been done on the proper environment for multimedia use in early childhood education. In this regard, this research examines the current status of multimedia use-animated illustration films, CD-ROM titles, and internet-in kindergarten. In addition, computer environment in kindergarten is investigated in order to provide guidelines for appropriate facilities and equipments. For smooth integration of computer activities into a school system, computers are located in ordinary classrooms in more than half of kindergarten in Seoul. Computers are used in independent lab settings in the last of the kindergarten in Seoul and there are four different types of lab settings. Among them computer at perimeter style is preferred for the ease of student-teacher, and student-student interactions. The importance of environment for early childhood education cannot be overestimated. It is so critical for early childhood education that the people in this field regard the environment as 'the third teacher' next to parents and teachers. Therefore the multimedia environment should also be considered seriously for the maximum use in early childhood institutions.

Pretest and post-tests were implemented for the mathematical teaching knowledge, mathematical teaching initiatives, mathematical interactions, constructivism belief and mathematical teaching efficacy in the experiment group. Independent sample t-test and ANCOVA were tested using Windows SPSS statistics 21.0. The homogeneity test for the experiment and comparison group revealed significant differences. ANCOVA was carried out after the pretest score was controlled as a co-variance. Significant differences were indicated in mathematical teaching knowledge, mathematical teaching initiative, mathematical interaction, constructivism belief and mathematical teaching efficacy. The results indicated that a constructivism-based teacher education program to support infant mathematical inquiry activities influenced improvements in mathematical teaching knowledge, mathematical teaching initiative, mathematical interaction, constructivism belief and mathematical teaching efficacy. This case study exemplifies science classroom observation and analysis. Data from two-day classroom observation, pre- and post-instruction interviews with the teacher and instructional materials were used to analyse the features of a science classroom. A teacher's classroom practices were examined in terms of the following six categories: (1)curriculum and science content, (2)teaching and learning methods, (3) teacher' s knowledge about learners, (4)classroom environment, (5)assessment, and (6)teacher's efforts for professional development. The teacher in this case study not only improved his own classroom practices, but also took an active role in teachers' in-service education to share his practical knowledge with others. Implications that valid evaluation(or observation) frameworks of classroom practices have on teacher education and teachers' inservice education are also discussed. These evaluation frameworks should provide teachers with a vision of highly accomplished practices.
