  • This study proposes an alternative to minimize insider-caused security threats that are relatively difficult to control and cause high uncertainty in information security management. Therefore, we investigate the relationship between organizational effort and the security understanding of employees to eventually enhance security compliance intention among employees. We develop a research model and formulate hypotheses on the basis of past findings. Accomplished questionnaires are collected from 526 employees working in organizations where information security policy is being implemented. In addition, we prove the hypotheses using a structural model. After reviewing the structural model, the security knowledge of employees and information security culture are determined to positively influence the security compliance intention of employees. Moreover, top management support, security policy, security visibility, and security education programs are proven to be antecedent factors in establishing a security culture in organizations. The findings of this study could guide organizations in formulating information security strategies to enhance the security compliance intention of employees.

  • This study is to examine constructs influencing the acceptance of SMEs for VSPs and the efficiency of VSPs, based on the two theories theory of reasoned action (TRA) and technology acceptance model (TAM) in the context of venture support program in Korea. This study concentrates on the government's venture support policy (VSP), namely the examination of the efficiency of current government VSPs in terms of preferential treatment for SMEs experiencing many other venture support programs (the EXP policy), and the reduction of documents/processes related to venture support programs for SMEs so that they are easily accessible and implementable (the EASE policy). Additionally, this paper will suggest an effective way to encourage SMEs to succeed by analyzing the fundamental reasons for their acceptance of VSPs to attain their long-term goals.

  • Recently, organizations are increasing their investment to protect information resources from information security(IS) threats through the adoption of IS policies and technologies. However, IS incidents occur in a variety of ways, such as intrusions from outside the organization and exposure to the inside. Our study presented the negative effects of IS role stress on organizational insiders and suggested factors from the organizational and individual perspectives for mitigating IS role stress. We conducted a survey on employees of companies that introduced and applied IS policies to their work and tested the hypothesis using 329 samples. As a result, IS organization justice reduced IS role stress and strengthened IS positive psychological capital, thereby affecting the IS compliance intention of employees. Also, IS positive psychological capital moderated the relationship between IS stress and IS compliance intention. This study contributes to the achievement of internal IS goals by suggesting the conditions that affect the IS compliance behavior of employees in terms of the organizational environment and individual characteristics

  • Self Regulatory Focus Theory explained two different self-regulatory systems(promotion focus and prevention focus) to achieve a goal. According to this theory, people have different type of goal(approach pleasure and avoid pain) and use different type of strategy to achieve the goal. Promotion focus targets their attention to positive outcomes and the achievement of gains. On the other hand, prevention focus targets attention more to negative outcomes and the avoidance of losses. Also, promotion focus tends to use approach and eager strategy to achieve the goal and prevention focus tends to use avoidance and vigilant strategy. This study examined the effects of self regulation focus on attitude and intention toward business start-up. We proposed that promotion focused people will respond more positively to the attitude and intention toward business start-up than prevention focused people. This likely because promotion focused people tend to focus more ideals and gains, where prevention focused people tend to focus more safety and risk. And also we proposed that these effect will be influenced by psychological distance. This study investigated these relationships using 186 under graduate students. The result of analysis indicated that promotion focused people responded more positively on the intention toward business start-up than prevention focused people. But it had not any effect on the attitude toward business start-up than prevention focused people. Self regulation focus and psychological distance turns out to be a significant factors that influence attitude and intention toward business start-up. Finally, we concluded with a discussion of the implications of the research findings and directions for future research.

There are many existing prior research related to the entrepreneurial intentions, but they were mostly focused only entrepreneurial success factors. So in this study we focused on fear of failure of potential entrepreneur. To know the influence of the fear of failure related to entrepreneurial intention, we using the scale of PFAI (Performances Failure Appraisal Inventory). The purpose of this study is to examine an impact of fear of failure on entrepreneurial intention and add to mediating factors - attitude toward the acts, subjective norm, perceived behavior control - on the relationship between fear of failure and entrepreneurial intention. Also we examined entrepreneurial education as moderating effect in order to offset the fear of failure. In order to test research model, we collected data from 321 undergraduate students. To test the research questions and hypotheses, we employed SPSS 21.0 anf AMOS 18.0 for validity, reliability, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural model analysis. The results were as follows. First, the fear of failure negatively related to attitude toward the behavior and subjective norm. Second, attitude toward the behavior and subjective norm positively related to entrepreneurial intention in consistent with previous studies. Third, attitude toward the acts and subjective norm in TPB variables have full-mediation effects between fear of failure and intrepreneurial intention. Fourth, The moderating effects of entrepreneurial effect was not significant. The negative relationship between fear of failure and attitude toward the acts and subjective norm was even slightly stronger who have taken the entrepreneurial class group. We discuss the theoretical and managerial implications, and provide suggestions for future research.

Many Local government support local festival opening actively to accomplish economic activation. Activation of local festivals is good chance to local start-up companies. Local start-up companies don't have well known brand, and wide distribution network. But they can sell their products to visitors in local festival. And if fortune smiles upon them, they can get big buyers in local festivals. If so, what factors can contribute to a increase sales of local start-up companies?
