These situations cause that most of the examinee apply for several universities to matriculate in a university. So these problem may raise a serious trouble such as additional new students invited. Therefore, in this study, we consider a few statistical models by using data mining technique to understand the pattern of new students who discard registration(seceders) in spite of success in the D university entrance examination. To construct these models, we use entrance examination data of three years. On the basis for analysis results of entrance examination data, we look into the features for secession of new students who success in an university entrance examination. We provide a basic information to make a effective entrance plan for seceders in future. Also, we make a search for the trend based on three years by analyzing entrance examination data of 2006, 2007 and 2008 years.

  • A standardized scoring system for college interview entrance examination means we standardize the score of examination to adjust the degree of difficulty among questions and difference of panel's disposition. A standardized scoring system were newly enforced at college interview entrance examination from 2001. Colleges want to choose the most suitably qualified students, taking full advantage of interview examination. Also they should always prepare for questions, plan the answers and a standardized scoring system so that all candidates get a fair shake. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a standardized scoring system for interview examination. The results of interview examination are ranked from highest to lowest and each candidate have different rank from several panels. So some unit scores from panels are given for each candidate using standard normal distribution. Then we calculate the mean unit score for each candidate and final interview entrance examination scores are given using the mean unit score for each candidate.

  • This paper deals with enhancement of the high school equalization assignment system to be executed by the allied entrance examination after the applicants graduated from their middle schools. In prevailing opinion, because educational demander's will has not been considered under the current system, it whose merits have been covered is required to be improved. If the application system of the entrance examination for the high schools will be returned, a situation that it will result in irregularity of the middle school education and in overheating entrance examination seems to appear explicitly. Since the averages of the allied entrance examination score of all the high schools, achieved by the equalization-application nearest assignment system which is named by writers of this paper, are equal, our system is good for maintaining the merits of the current system. More than 50% educational demander's will has been reflected by our system, so that we come to the conclusion that our system is excellent in all the systems verified up to now. Assigning students to the high school to make an average difference between three and five score, we expect that relection rate of the educational demander's will be increased more than 60%.

  • This paper studies the relationship between the college entrance examination scores and college mathematics achievements of the freshman, who are the students of college of technology and management in Yanbian University, by employing statistical analysis. First of all, we start from the correlation analysis of the majors and regions of students. Secondly, with gender and region as the classification, we divide the sample into two parts and test the mean significance, and we find that not only different gender but also different region have significant differences to college mathematics achievements. Thirdly, we use the college entrance examination scores as independent variable, and college mathematics achievement as the dependent variable to establish regression model. The model provides a realistic basis for the education department of our school, and provides reference value for the other major research.
