  • In this paper, marginal loss factors are calculated for 12 load cases that represent the impact of marginal network tosses on nodal prices at the transmission network connection points at which generators are located. Based on comparison analysis of marginal loss factors on generation energy resources, we can find the characteristics of each plants according to its energy resources in KOREA.

  • A sinusoidal PWM type inverter using 1GBT and a new instantaneous current tracking control stategy is described. Its utilization as an interface for a grid-connected photovoltaic system with maxmum power tracking capability is explaned, and competer simulation along with waveforms are discussed. Finally, experimental results are analysed by state space avarge method to actual grid-connected systems.

  • The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or the DPRK, is one of the poorest country in world facing chronic economic, energy and food security issues. Prolonged improper management of economic and natural resources has led to extreme poverty, malnutrition and critically vulnerability to nature's forces. Presistent deforestation and forest degradation in the DPRK has national and global consequences which has attracted attention from international community, whose offering financial and technical assistance for targeted interventions. Through REDD+ programs, the DPRK has the opportunity to establish its credentials as a responsible nation while improving the quality of life of its population. This study offers an enabling context under which suitable climate change action related to forestry can be identified and implemented in the DPRK.

  • With the increasing interest of a demand side management using a Smart Grid infrastructure, the demand resources and energy usage data management becomes an important factor in energy industry. In addition, with the help of Advanced Measuring Infrastructure(AMI), energy usage data becomes a Big Data System. Therefore, it becomes difficult to store and manage the demand resources big data using a traditional relational database management system. Furthermore, not many researches have been done to analyze the big energy data collected using AMI. In this paper, we are proposing a Hadoop based Big Data system to manage the demand resources energy data and we will also show how the demand side management systems can be used to improve energy efficiency.

  • This research has been carried out to give economical incentives and to promote for the eco-friendly village. A standard model plan for the Korean eco-village has been prepared by systematically applying the results of the research to Boksoo village, which served as an exemplary model. Plans for promoting the Korean eco-village are finally derived after a series of theoretical assessment of conceptual propositions in harnessing natural elements well suited with man-made structures. The eco-friendly village that this study is to develop harnesses natural energy resources and establishes pleasant living environment for human. It minimizes the unjust load against nature and restrains the excessive consumption of irreplaceable indigenous energy and other natural resources on earth. Paraphrasing, the utilization of natural energy resources in the eco-friendly village features various schemes of the related technologies in energy conservation and exploitation of renewable energies including solar thermal, photovoltaic, daylighting, wind power and etc. The eco-friendly village would definitely make our world more healthier than before by suppressing the emission of green house gases from fossil fuels and ever increasing energy consumption.
