The objective of this study is to examine and provide guidelines for regional governments, communities, and the private sector in planning and implementing poverty-reduction activities that are more effective, efficient, and targeted. Besides, this research's specific aims are: 1) increasing the rate of regional economic growth through optimization of potential sources of local income, 2) increasing per-capita income, and 3) reducing poverty, unemployment, and social-economic inequality of the community. The study was conducted in North Morowali District, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, in 2018-2019. The research approach used quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Data sources include sources from the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Regional Statistics. The results of this study are based on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG's) indicators that there are four priority scales in poverty reduction, namely, Health and Infrastructure (Priority I), Education (Priority II), Food stability (Priority III), and Population and Employment (Priority IV). Therefore, as a solution to poverty alleviation strategies, the cost approach through regional economic optimization and local income sources and community empowerment factors are essential. Apart from that, the involvement between elements (government, organizations, society, universities, and institutions) is expected to continue as an effort to realize poverty reduction can be optimally overcome.

The demand of large capacity in coming cellular systems makes inevitable the deployment of small cells, rendering more frequent handoff occurrences of calls than in the conventional system. The key issue is then how effectively to reduce the chance of unsuccessful handoffs, since the handoff failure is less desirable than that of a new call attempt. In this study, we consider the control policies which give priority to handoff calls by limiting channel assignment for the originating new calls, and allow queueing the new calls which are rejected at their first attempts. On this system. we propose the problem of finding an optimal call control strategy which optimizes the objective function value, while satisfying the requirements on the handoff/new call blocking probabilities and the new call delay. The objective function takes the most general form to include such well-known performance measures as the weighted average carried traffic and the handoff call blocking probability. The problem is formulated into two different linear programming (LP) models. One is based on the direct employment of steady state equations, and the other uses the theory of semi-Markov decision process. Two LP formulations are competitive each other, having its own strength in the numbers of variables and constraints. Extensive experiments are also conducted to show which call control strategy is optimal under various system environments having different objective functions and traffic patterns.
The emission of greenhouse gases mainly carbon dioxide and methane is the result of rapid industrialization to meet the demands of ever-growing population. This has resulted in an increase of global temperature which in turn is responsible for severe environmental, social, ecological and economic losses, commonly known as to as 'climate change'. This study attempts to highlight the impacts of climate change mainly focussing on water contamination, sanitation and open defecation in India. The requirement for the instantaneous employment of environment friendly technologies along with improved sanitary system has been discussed. Various other issues which are also linked to climate change that need further management like managing water resources, deterioration in human health, economic losses, modification and successful implementation of policies have been pointed out. Furthermore, stress has been made for the urgent adaptation and rethinking for making strategies along with the involvement of women in order to cop up challenges offered by climate change.
This research was conducted to examine coffee shop customers' preference and satisfaction by different types of promotion. Research samples ware adults with experience of any form of coffee shop promotion (n=209). Descriptive statistics, Chi-square, t-test and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the relations among variables. Results showed that 'free coupon' was the most preferred ones. SNS was the most frequently used search method for coffee shop coupon promotion information. The most preferred event promotion was 'freebies', and preference levels were significantly different by age and employment status. 'Barista experience' was ranked highest in preference among cultural experience events. Drinking coffee was the most important purpose of visiting coffee shops, especially among unemployed, twenties, and women respondents. Coupon was evaluated the highest in usefulness and satisfaction among the three promotion methods. Event and cultural experience were preferred more by respondents in their twenties than those in their thirties. Results indicated that all promotion strategies are effective for increasing customer satisfaction and for inducing revisit. Findings also showed that preference for promotion was affected by customer characteristics such as age and gender. Therefore, coffee shops should consider using the most effective and attractive promotion strategy for their target market, while maintaining a consistent service quality level to fulfill customer expectation.

This research aims to investigate the application of Keynes's theory in Indonesia, particularly in solving unemployment and poverty problems through government spending, economic growth, and human resource capacity. The basic concepts of the Keynesian theory were used as a method, through which government spending was harnessed toward economic growth in reducing unemployment and poverty rate. The analytical materials used were panel data for the 2017-2021 period in Central Java, Indonesia. The analytical methodology used was a multiple regression experimental design in selecting the best model according to Keynes's theory, especially for overcoming formidable problems. The main results showed that large Government spending program is ineffective in encouraging pro-growth, pro-job, pro-poor, and pro-equity development policy strategies. The causes of this failure include the violation of Keynes' assumptions about rationality and the low quality of education investment, which do not encourage productive and innovative entrepreneurship, as well as self-employment opportunities. As a result, government spending, including subsidies and direct financial assistance, used to implement the macroeconomic monetary, unstructured, and fiscal policy system is insufficient to significantly reduce the enormous difficulties. The main research results confirm that human capital capacity is the key to mitigating and reducing unemployment and poverty.
Purpose: In adults with chronic diseases, unmet healthcare needs are likely to increase the risk of worsening the illness and complications. This study was conducted to explore factors affecting unmet healthcare needs among adults with chronic diseases. Methods: A cross sectional study was performed using the data from the seventh Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES VII), 2016-2017. The sample of this study consisted of 6,104 adults with chronic diseases. The data were analyzed by Rao-Scott 𝑥2 test and logistic regression using complex samples analysis. Results: The proportion of subjects who experienced unmet healthcare needs was 10.9% of adults with chronic diseases. The factors affecting unmet healthcare needs of adults with chronic diseases were age, gender, employment status, household income, subjective health status, activity limitation, and perceived stress. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that various factors may be associated with their unmet healthcare needs. Finally, the development of strategies to reduce unmet healthcare needs for people with chronic diseases should consider the associated factors presented in the study.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the restaurant business adversely. The restaurant business is essential for Thailand's economy as it generates high income and a high employment rate. This study aimed to determine the relationships between restaurant businesses. Furthermore, it examined the problems encountered during COVID-19 and measures already implemented and planned. The research is intended to resolve these issues. We collected data from 136 people who worked in restaurants in Bangkok, Thailand, via telephone interviews. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and correspondence analysis using SPSS. The findings of this analysis indicate that all restaurants, irrespective of their size, face problems, though their planned and remedial actions are different. One finding was that medium restaurants face more financial problems and increased costs than others. They are countering this challenge through measures such as applying for loans and transitioning into a "non-restaurant" business. Nevertheless, typical medium restaurants have not engaged in extensive planning for the future. Based on a fact-finding survey, we considered appropriate short- and long-term measures suitable for micro, small and medium restaurants. In addition, our study's findings will help policymakers and practitioners identify strategies for responding to the COVID-19 outbreak and other future crises.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the predictors influencing fear of falling in community-dwelling elderly women with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Methods: A secondary data analysis was performed using data of 65 years or older elderly women with MCI participating in the 7th Korea Longitudinal Study of Ageing of the Korea Employment Information Service. The study subjects included 368 elderly women with MCI. For data analysis, descriptive statistics and logistic regression with complex samples were performed using IBM SPSS ver. 23.0. Results: 89.9% of the elderly women with MCI had fear of falling. There were significant factors such as religion (OR=8.85, 95% CI: 3.39~23.15), restriction of activity (OR=6.84, 95% CI: 2.14~21.90), depression (OR=0.75, 95% CI: 0.62~0.90), and MMSE (OR=1.30, 95% CI: 1.03~1.63), predicting fear of falling in community-dwelling elderly women with MCI. Conclusion: Differentiated strategies should be developed for elderly women with MCI to decrease fear of falling and prevent falls with understanding of contributing factors. This study will provide fundamental information on programming and a policy proposal related to fear of falling for elderly women with MCI.

It is considered that the construction industry is one of the pivotal players in the national economy in terms of Gross Domestic Production (GDP) and employment. Behind the positive role of this industrial sector to the national economy, the construction industry generates approximately 50 % of the total waste generation from all the industrial sectors. There are several measures to mitigate the adverse impacts of the construction waste such as reduce, reuse and recycle. Recycling would be one of the effective strategies for waste minimisation, which would be able to reduce the demand upon new resources as well as enhance reusing the construction materials on sites. The automated construction waste classification system would make it possible not only to reduce the amount of labour input but also mitigate the possibility of errors during the manual classification process. In this study, we proposed an automated waste segmentation and classification system for recycling the construction and demolition waste in the real construction site context. Since the practical application to the real-world construction sites was one of the significant factors to develop the system, a YOLACT (You Only Look At CoefficienTs) algorithm was chosen to conduct the study. In this study, it is expected that the proposed system would make it possible to enhance the productivity as well as the cost efficiency by reducing the manpower for the construction and demolition waste management at the construction site.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the national obligation of public health support for residents in medically vulnerable areas in Korea, and to propose a suitable model for public health institutions in this region. Research design, data, and methodology: A survey targeting residents was conducted from August 10 to August 17, 2021, with a sample size of 177 general citizens. The survey utilized a structured questionnaire administered online through Google, employing convenience random sampling. After an editing process to ensure data accuracy, the final dataset of 174 valid samples underwent encoding, coding, and cleaning using the IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 program for analysis. Results: Health status revealed a moderate level, and 63.8% reported having chronic diseases, particularly prevalent among the elderly. External healthcare institutions were commonly utilized, with proximity and competence of doctors being primary reasons. Respondents expressed a need for improving the public health and medical system, emphasizing the establishment of a County Health Centre and expanding medical departments. Conclusions: In this region, the region's unique challenges, including education, employment, population decline, aging, and transportation, require multidimensional efforts and urgent intervention by public entities. Long-term strategies involve considering the establishment of a health and medical institute, adjusting health centre resources to local realities, and fostering a cooperative system for collaboration among residents and institutions.
