In the age of 100 years, it had become very important to prepare for unexpected dangers. This study was conducted to analyze the factors affecting the sales performance of financial planners. We analyzed the influence relationship of sales training, sales management, and customer orientation on sales performance, and furthermore, analyzed the impact of these influence relationships. To this end, sales training was subdivided into customer development, sales competency, and learning agility. Customer orientation was subdivided into the use of customer management system, SNS use, and customer service provision. Sales management was subdivided into goal orientation, manager leadership, and compensation system. The effect of these detailed variables on sales performance was empirically analyzed. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting currently active financial planners. The survey was conducted for a month in January 2023, and 250 valid samples were analyzed. The results of the empirical analysis were as follows. Customer development and learning agility had a significant positive (+) effect on sales performance. Sales competency were not tested for significance. Among customer orientations, SNS use and customer service provision had a significant positive (+) effect on sales performance. The use of the customer management system was not tested for significance. Among sales management, goal orientation and compensation system had a significant positive (+) effect on sales performance. Manager leadership was not tested for significance. The influence of variables that significantly affect sales performance was in the order of goal orientation, customer service provision, compensation system, slearning agility, customer development, and SNS use. Based on these research results, academic and practical implications were presented.
As the founders of small and medium-sized businesses age, the issue of business succession becomes increasingly important. In this study, we empirically analyzed the impact of various human and institutional factors on corporate succession intentions, including the CEO's competency, the successor's competency, third-party stakeholders, and institutional factors such as legislation, taxation, and trust. We surveyed CEOs who were currently running small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and received a total of 201 valid questionnaires. We then conducted an empirical analysis using the multiple regression analysis method. Our results showed that both the CEO's competency and the successor's competency, which are human factors, had a significant positive impact on corporate succession intention. Institutional factors such as taxation and trust also had a significant positive impact on corporate succession intention. However, third-party stakeholders and legislation did not have a significant effect on corporate succession intention. Among the factors that had a significant impact, the size of the influence was in the order of successor's competency, CEO's competency, taxation, and trust. These research results have both academic and practical implications. By going beyond existing studies that focus solely on human factors, we have revealed that institutional factors such as taxation and trust have a very important impact on corporate succession.

This study is a empirical study to investigate the mediating effect of self-efficacy and social support in the relationship between SNS use time and acculturation stress for Chinese students. A survey was conducted from April 1 to 12, 2022 on 239 Chinese students from universities across the country using Wenjuanxing questionnaires. Descriptive statistics analysis and Baron and Kenny hierarchical regression analysis were performed on the collected data using SPSS 26.0, and bootstrapping was performed to verify the mediating effect. As a result of the study, SNS use time had a significant effect on the self-efficacy and social support. The acculturation stress was significantly influenced by SNS use time, self-efficacy, and social support. SNS use time had a significant effect on acculturation stress, and self-efficacy and social support had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between SNS use time and acculturation stress. Therefore, based on the above research, SNS can be used to develop the projects for International students to enhance their cultural adaptative ability and thus alleviate the acculturation stress. This study can serve as the foundational and supplementary materials for the follow-up study of SNS and acculturation stress.
The widespread adoption of smartphones and advancements in internet technology have notably shifted content consumption habits toward video. This research aims to dissect the nature of videos posted on YouTube, the global video-sharing platform, to understand the characteristics of both produced and preferred content. For this study, dance was chosen as a specific subject from a variety of video categories. Data on YouTube videos associated with the term "dance" was compiled over three years, from 2019 to 2021. The investigation revealed a clear distinction between the types of dance videos frequently uploaded to YouTube and those that receive a high number of views. The empirical analysis of this study indicates a viewer preference for vlogs that provide insights into the daily lives of dance students, as well as for purpose-driven videos, such as those highlighting dance exam preparations or school dance events. Notably, the vlogs that attract the most attention are typically created by dance students at the college or secondary school level, rather than by professionals. Although the study was focused on dance, its methodologies can be applied to different subjects. These insights are expected to contribute to the development of a recommendation system that aids content creators in effectively targeting their productions.

Compensation and pay dispersion has been rigorously scrutinized to investigate their impacts on productivity and organizational performance. However, it is difficult to find a systematic study on the systematic dynamics of compensation and pay dispersion effects specifically in the context of Korean venture companies. Venture companies should manage their organizational resources efficiently to maximize their organizational performance through pay structure by efficiently managing the inherent resources. However, we acknowledge that empirical studies on how compensation and pay dispersion affect organizational productivity and performance are rare to find in the Korean context. To overcome this supplement limitation, this study hypothesized that (1) pay and members' productivity are positively related, (2) pay dispersion and organizational productivity have U shaped relationship, and (3) organizational productivity mediates the positive relationship between compensation and organizational performance. Venture companies and professional sports teams share manifold common characteristics such as size, financial circumstances, and operational objectives. We collect 9 seasons (2013~2014 - 2021~2022) of 10 teams' data of Korean Basketball League teams to test our hypotheses. Methodologically, the assessment of our analysis is rendered with PROCESS macro model 58. The statistical results showed that all hypotheses are statistically supported. This study explains how compensation and pay dispersion affect organizational productivity and performance of venture companies in Korea.

The bounce rate is the rate at which a user leaves immediately after visiting, and this study aimed to find out what attributes of a website affect the bounce rate. Web site evaluation items were defined as a total of 4 items and 27 evaluation attributes, including usability, information, service interaction, and technology, so that they can be commonly applied to venture companies in various industries through prior research. As a result of the study, 6 website attributes that affect the bounce rate were verified to be significant by discriminant analysis and decision tree analysis. Suggestions to reduce the bounce rate of venture business websites through this study are as follows. First, the path name of the website is displayed as mandatory and a pull-down menu function is added to facilitate movement to other pages. Second, it is good to expose core content that can attract users' attention in the form of a banner, and place internal link banners in the right place on sub-pages. Third, external links should be linked to a new window so that they do not leave the current page immediately so that they can be re-entered. Lastly, it is recommended to expose the contact information of the person in charge and consultation function as direct information for communication with customers, but if individual response is difficult, at least the consultation function must be added. These suggestions are expected to be of practical help in various fields such as website development, operation, and marketing. However, in special cases, a high bounce rate may be normal, so it should be considered according to the situation.

In this study, the effect of platform selection attributes on customer satisfaction by mediating supplier trust for agrifood platform users was analyzed. The sub-variables of the selection attribute were classified into diversity, convenience, information, commerciality, and interactivity. The collected 190 questionnaires, SPSS v24.0 and Process macro 4.0 were used for empirical analysis. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that information, commerciality, and interactivity affect supplier trust in a positive direction, and diversity and convenience do not affect supplier trust. Second, it was confirmed that supplier trust had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. Third, convenience, information, commerciality, and interactivity were found to affect customer satisfaction in a positive direction, and diversity did not affect customer satisfaction. It was tested to mediate between informational, commercial, interactivity and customer satisfaction. These results suggest that the platform's informativeness, commerciality, and interactivity can increase customer satisfaction by increasing supplier trust. As a follow-up study, it is recommended that the analysis of moderated mediating effects by the conditional process model including moderating variables or research to discover third mediator(s) other than the supplier trust used in the study is needed.

This paper studies the impact of regulatory approaches on innovation and entrepreneurship. As technological progress and environmental changes avail new business opportunities to innovative startups, many governments find it difficult to regulate new and unprecedented businesses promoted by the innovative firms. In order to provide academic and practitional implications on the regulatory design with which to support innovation and entrepreneurship, this paper aims to review classical theories on the demand and supply of regulation as well as empirical research on the impact of regulation on market entry and incentives for innovation. Based on the findings, this paper discusses the recent controversies around the regulatory approaches on new businesses pursued by startups, which are as known as the "positive regulatory approach" vs. "negative regulatory approaches" among practitioners and policy makers in Korea. This paper claims that the Korean context provides an useful opportunity to investigate how the ongoing transition of the once "fast follower" economy into a pacesetter one changes the nature of businesses pursued by firms, investors, and related market players and, accordingly, calls for the changes in the way the government intervenes in markets to regulate businesses of firms. By doing so, this paper sheds light on the role of the government in establishing an entrepreneurial ecosystem where innovative ideas of startups can be tested and nurtured.

Currently, the role of public accelerators in the domestic accelerator market is gradually expanding. Accordingly, in order to establish relevant policies properly, it is necessary to check the effect and validity of public accelerators' investment. However, there is no quantitative research conducted on domestic accelerators, using their financial data, as domestic accelerators have a short history and quantitative data on them are not disclosed. Therefore, this study conducted an empirical analysis with financial data of the startups that received equity investments from public accelerators to confirm the effect of public accelerators'investment in startups. A regression analysis was conducted with financial data from 112 startups that acquired investments from public accelerators in the period of 2016~2020. And the findings are as follows: First, it was found that the initial investment of public accelerators had an effect on the growth and profitability of startups. Specifically, it was confirmed that the initial investment of public accelerators had a positive (+) effect on sales growth rates and total asset growth rates, which are growth indicators. Second, it was found that the joint investment of public accelerators had a significant positive (+) effect on profit margin, an indicator of profitability, rather than on growth. Therefore, it is deemed that it will be a great force for growth if investment in the early-stage startups that showed significant investment results in this study is continuously expanded in combination with support projects, which are a strength of public accelerators. Since this study has confirmed the investment effect of public accelerators, it is deemed necessary to actively promote policies that direct public accelerators' projects toward improving the performance of startups through joint investment with the private sector and supplementing private accelerators' deficiencies.
Many online travel agencies (OTAs) provide average ratings and time-relevant information or the most recently posted reviews regarding hotels to satisfy customers. To identify these two factors' relative influence on behavioral decision-making processes, we conducted two studies: (1) an experimental research design to explore the relative influence of the two on online review consumption and (2) an empirical approach to examine their relative impact on online review generation. The results show that when review posters observe an inconsistency between average ratings and recent reviews, they tend to deviate from the recent reviews regardless of the overall direction (reactance behavior). Meanwhile, review consumers tend to conform to the opinions presented in recent reviews (herding behavior). Additionally, in both cases, the effects are amplified in case of a negative aberration. Based on the findings, this study provides theoretical and practical implications regarding the relative influences of average rating and recently posted reviews and their different impacts on online review consumption and generation.
