A Study on the Environmental Load of Office Buildings in Seoul

  • This study is to examine the emission quantity of $CO_2$ gas as the environmental load in office buildings. After the investigation of monthly consumption of each energy source(electricity and natural gas), it is analyzed that the $CO_2$ emission quantity of 34 office buildings surveyed is 22.4 kg-c/$m^2$-year, which consists of 17.5 kg-c/$m^2$-year by consurunlelectncif. and 4.9 kg-c/$m^2$-year by consuming natural gas. And the $CO_2$ emission quantity of each load in those buildings consists of 68% emitted by general electricity, 16% by cooling load and 16% by beating load. It is also proposed that the $CO_2$ emission quantity of cooling and heating load is profoundly pertinent to the variation of outdoor temperature.

공동주택을 대상으로 한 탄소배출 평가기준 구축 및 평가방법 개발 (A Study on The Evaluation Criteria of Carbon Emission and the Development of the Evaluation Method in Apartment House)

  • This study creates the evaluation criteria to analyze the $CO_2$ emission quantity in the complex of apartment house among domestic buildings and proposes how to calculate the $CO_2$ emission quantity by the only simple information of apartment house. The study shows that in order to create the index of carbon emission evaluation criteria, $CO_2$ emission quantity for its input materials in these 27 apartment houses are 445,412g-$CO_2/m^2$ for apartment building, 474,322g-$CO_2/m^2$ for the basement parking lot, 483,523g-$CO_2/m^2$ for welfare facility, 729,957g-$CO_2/m^2$ for sales facility, 743,560g-$CO_2/m^2$ for other facility, 26,782g-$CO_2/m^2$ for public facility, 43,659g-$CO_2/m^2$ for landscape, 1,113g-$CO_2/m^2$ for indoor facility, 11,251g-$CO_2/m^2$ for outdoor facility and 891g-$CO_2/m^2$ for common temporary based on the average $CO_2$ emission by facility. We can also see the analysis data that in case of using the selected factors only, the rate of error is 7.51% comparing with the emission quantity by using simplified LCA method this study suggests for the whole range of apartment houses and the rate of error is average 3.24% using selective and main materials. And this it is evaluated that we can get the result which is similar to the actual $CO_2$ emission quantity with only the simple information about the apartment house.

환경문제를 고려한 혼합복점시장의 최적 오염세와 사회후생: 생산량 경쟁과 가격 경쟁의 비교 (Emission Tax, Environment and Welfare in Mixed Duopoly Markets: Comparing Quantity and Price Competitions)

  • 본 논문은 공기업과 사기업이 혼재된 혼합복점시장을 대상으로 환경오염을 고려한 최적 오염세와 후생효과를 분석하였다. 상품차별화된 시장에서 두 기업이 생산량 경쟁과 가격 경쟁을 동시 게임과 순차 게임으로 진행하는 경우를 각각 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 생산량 경쟁이나 가격 경쟁 또는 동시 게임이나 순차 게임에 관계없이 최적 오염세는 항상 한계오염비용보다 작다. 둘째, 최적 오염세의 크기를 비교하면 생산량 경쟁에서는 사기업 선도모형에서 가장 높고, 가격 경쟁에서는 공기업 선도모형에서 가장 높다. 셋째, 동시 게임과 사기업 선도 모형에서 생산량 경쟁이 가격 경쟁보다 환경을 악화시키는 반면, 공기업 선도모형은 가격 경쟁이 생산량 경쟁보다 환경을 악화시킨다. 마지막으로 동시 게임이나 공기업 선도모형에서 가격 경쟁이 생산량 경쟁보다 후생을 높이는 반면, 사기업 선도모형은 생산량 경쟁이 가격 경쟁보다 후생을 높인다.

시멘트 생산과정에 따른 CaO 함량과 CO2의 발생량 (The CO2 Emission in the Process of Cement Manufacture Depending on CaO Content)

  • 이 연구에서는 시멘트 생산공정에서 석회석 원료에 따른 $CO_2$ 배출량 및 그에 따른 물리적 특성을 파악하기 위해 국내 6개사의 보통포틀랜드시멘트에 대한 CaO 함유량 및 모르타르의 압축강도를 측정하였다. 탈탄산반응 시 발생되는 CaO와 각각의 시멘트에 함유된 석회석의 손실량에 대하여 CaO 함유량 및 압축강도, $CO_2$ 배출량과의 관계를 비교분석하였다. 단위 시멘트에 대한 $CO_2$ 배출량 산정 결과 석회석의 탈탄산에 따른 $CO_2$ 배출량이 전체 배출량의 67%가량 차지하였고, 시멘트 제조 시 공정관리에 따라 $CO_2$ 배출량에 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 $CO_2$ 배출의 주요 인자로 화석연료의 사용 및 재료 손실률이 지대한 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 시멘트 내의 CaO 함유량이 증가함에 따라 압축강도 역시 증가하였으며, CaO 손실량이 클수록 CaO 함유량 및 압축강도는 감소하였으나 $CO_2$ 배출량은 증가함에 따라 시멘트 제조 시 CaO 생성량보다는 재료 및 공정관리가 $CO_2$ 배출에 더 영향력이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 포졸란계 혼화재인 PFA, GGBS를 사용함으로서 이에 따른 가격, $CO_2$ 배출 및 강도증진 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

건축물 전과정 $CO_2$ 평가를 위한 BIM 라이브러리 개발 (The Development of BIM Library for Building Life Cycle CO2 Assessment)

  • BIM and its quantity take-off widely apply to the construction projects and LCCO2 Assessment using the BIM's quantity take-off function can be tried recently. Because BIM modeling programs such as Revit and ArchiCAD do not provide adequate library for LCCO2 Assessment, quantity take-off data should be conversed and applied to Carbon Emission Coefficient using Excel program or manual work. Therefore, the purpose of this research is 1) to propose the Unit Conversion Systems for Carbon Emission Coefficient, 2) to provide basic library sets for BIM based LCCO2 Assessment method, and 3) to apply 11 material library sets on a apartment unit plan modeling to pursue the CO2 emission evaluation of the material production in the process of LCCO2 Assessment. Research results showed CO2 emission amount of 458.64kgCO2/m2 from the apartment unit plan modeling.

탄소저감형 다차원 도로선형설계를 위한 솔루션 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Solution Algorithm for Multi-dimention Road Alignment Design Considering Low-Carbon)

  • Government efforts for green growth policy initiatives demand low-carbon technologies in the road construction industry. The purpose of this paper is to develop an algorithm of a road alignment design solution for establishing the multi-dimensional information, and to calculate carbon emission quantity due to the geometric design elements in the planning phase of road alignment. The paper developed a calculation method for carbon emission quantity by drawing a speed profile reflected in the operating speed, acceleration and deceleration, which are majors factor of carbon emissions while driving and by applying a carbon emission factor. From this effort, it enabled alignment planning to reduce carbon emission. Object-based parametric design methods of the cross-sections were proposed for alignment planning, and the paper demonstrated a BIM-based road alignment planning solution. The proposed solutions can provide multi-dimensional information on carbon emission quantity and cross section elements through driving simulation. It is expected to allow construction of eco-friendly roads by deriving optimal road alignment to minimize environmental costs.

디젤기관의 스모크배출의 확산연소 의존성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dependence of Smoke Emission in Diesel Engines Upon Diffusion Combustion)

  • Smoke is emitted in diesel engines because fuel injected into the high-temperatured and high-pressured combustion chamber burns with its mixture with insufficient oxygeny. In consideration of air pollution, above all, it is necessary to illuminate the cause of smoke emission in diesel engines. The smoke emission, which is characteristic of diffusion combustion in diesel engines, results from pyrolysis of fuel not mixed with air. Therefore the smoke emission is dependent on diffusion combustion quantity, which is in turn controlled by engine parameter. The study aims at making clear and interpreting the interdependence of smoke emission in diesel engines with heat released within combustion chamber, camparing diffusion combustion quantity according to each engine parameter (air fuel ratio, injection timing, and engine speed), and showing the relation between smoke emission and fraction of diffusion combustion through experiment.

초고층 공동주택 세대내 개보수 주기에 따른 이산화탄소 배출량 연구 (A Study on Quantity of CO2 Emission about Remodeling Cycle at High-rise Apartment housing)

  • The goal of this study is to figure out the remodeling cycle at high-rise apartment housing and to analysis on quantity of $CO_2$ emission about remodeling cycle. The process of research is as follow; 1) Estimate the remodeling cycle through survey targeting residents at high-rise apartment building. 2) Simulate conditions on the high-rise apartment housing. 3) Calculate quantity of energy consumption and $CO_2$ emission 4) Derive elements that are on high level of environmental load evaluation. The main results of this study is as follow; 1) The cycle of finishing such as wallpaper is shorter than the cycle of building equipment such as elements in a toilet. 2) According to result of calculating $CO_2$ emission, fabric wallpaper and mortar are main factors that impact on the environment. The results is important to show reference points on quantitative measuring evaluation for the environmental-friendly extent.

C-FVM을 이용한 토공장비의 CO2 배출계수에 관한 연구 (A Study on CO2 Emission Factor for Earth-Work Equipment Using C-FVM)

  • 국토해양부에서 2011년 시설물별 탄소배출량 산정가이드라인을 통해 제시한 토공장비의 $CO_2$ 배출계수는 IPCC 탄소배출계수를 활용하여 연료사용량을 기반으로 만들어졌다. 하지만 이 방식은 현장의 다양한 조건을 반영하지 못한다는 단점이 있다. 따라서 이러한 단점을 보완한 새로운 배출계수가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 토공장비를 대상으로 농도-유속측정(C-FVM)을 이용한 직접측정방식으로 $CO_2$ 배출량을 산정하고, 국토해양부에서 제시한 배출계수와 비교분석 후 토공장비의 새로운 $CO_2$ 배출계수를 제시하고자 한다.

노즐 형상 변경이 소형 CRDI 엔진의 성능에 미치는 영향에 대한 수치 해석적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Effect of Nozzle Geometry on the Small CRDI Engine Performance)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of multi-hole nozzle on the performance of small CRDI engine. Combustion and exhaust emission characteristics of engine were studied by using CFD simulation with ECFM-3Z combustion model. The conditions of simulation were varied with nozzle geometry, injection timing and injection quantity. In addition, the results were compared in terms of combustion pressure, rate of heat release, $NO_x$ and soot emissions. It was found that combustion pressure was increased when injection timing was advanced. The rate of heat release of 6 hole nozzle was higher than that of 12 hole nozzle since the quantity of fuel impinged at the bottom of piston rim was different under different injection timing conditions. In the case of $NO_x$ emission, 6 hole nozzle generated more $NO_x$ emission than 12 hole nozzle. On the other hand, in the case of soot emission, 12 hole nozzle showed higher value than 6 hole nozzle because injected fuel droplets from multi-hole nozzle were coalesced.
