  • Mechanical Properties, such as tensile strength, elongation, and tear strength, decreased according to increasing the load of ATH, volume resistivity, AC break down strength, and tracking resistance for HVI SC contained ATH treated by vinyl Silane were better than those for HVI SC were contained ATH treated by other surface treatment agent, such as stearic acid and acryl silane.

Cellulose-EVOH 섬유의 제조와 물성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preparation and Properties of Cellulose-EVOH Fibers)

  • In this study, Cellulose-Poly(Ethylene-Co-Vinyl Alcohol) (EVOH) fibers from MMNO(N-me-thylmorpholine-N-oxide) /water/cellulose/EVOH were prepared according to changes of EVOH content(wt%), which is main factors to dry-jet wet spinning. The mechanical properties and morphology of produced fibers were investigated. The resultant fibers had tensile strength of 3.7∼4.5g/d, elongation of 3.3∼7.5% and exhibited lower density than the density of pure cellulose fiber.

  • Formability of sheet metals can be evaluated using tensile testing. Easily measured tensile properties such as yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, strain hardening exponent, strain rate sensitivity and plastic strain ratio are important parameters to evaluated the sheet formability. This paper briefly explains how these properties are related to deep drawability and stretchability. The plastic anisotropy of sheet metals is usually attributed to the crystallographic texture. However dislocation distribution may influence the anisotropy.

Cell Tester에 의한 막특성 연구 (Effects of membrane characteristics by Cell Tester)

  • An experimental research was conducted in order to study the treatment of waste reuse system using the membrane. Cell tester which supplied by Amicon was used to compare the fluxes of various membranes. Specially investigated items in the experiment were carried out by using 5 species of microfiltration membranes as to various MLSS concentrations. From the results, it is recognized from the cell test that 0.2 $\mu $m pore-sized membrane have the most effective performance at 2000mg/L of MLSS, and physical properties of membranes such as strength, deflection, elongation, structure of pore are more important than chemical properties in microfiltration membrane.

  • Development on the mechanical properties of steel sheet for the automobile body panel is very important in the BAF(Batch annealing furnace) annealing process. Because of the heat treatment method in the BAF, mechanical properties were decided on the heat treatment method of the coil. So, we tested on the development of mechanical properties according to heat treatment method at the annealing furnace using the In atmospheric gas($H_2$ : 75%, $N_2$ : 25%) and the HNx atmospheric gas($H_2$ : 5%, $N_2$ : 95%) We confirmed the following characteristics, mechanical properties were changed under the influence of the annealing cycle and the atmospheric gas. And, we have some result according to heat treatment method. Elongation of the mechanical properties in the HNx BAF is higher than the Ax BAF. But tensile strength and hardness is higher than the HNx BAF.

오스템퍼드 구상흑연주철의 파괴특성에 미치는 오스템퍼링 온도의 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Austempering Temperature on the Fracture Characteristics in Austempered Ductile Cast Iron)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of austempering temperature on the mechanical properties and fracture characteristics of the ductile cast iron with Cu, Mo and Cu, Mo, Ni. The results obtained from this study are summarized as follows; Microstructures of Cu-Mo and Cu-Mo-Ni ductile cast iron by austempering were obtained low bainite with some martensite at $250^{\circ}C$, mixture structure of upper and low bainite obtained at $300^{\circ}C$ and upper bainite obtained at $350^{\circ}C$. Tensile, impact and fracture toughness properties were remarkably controlled by retained austenite. With increasing austempering temperature, tensile and yield strength, hardness decreased, while the elongation and impact absorption energy, fracture toughness increased. With adding Ni, tensile and yield strength increased and elongation, facture toughness and impact absorption energy decreased. Retained austenite increased with increasing austempering temperature and the fracture surface were shown mixture structure of fibrous and dimple.

고 Mn 오스테나이트계 스테인리스강의 기계적성질에 미치는 가공유기 마르텐사이트 변태의 영향 (Effect of Deformation Induced Martensite Transformation on the Mechanical Properties in Austenitic Stainless Steel with High Mn)

  • The effect of deformation induced martensite transformation on the mechanical properties in austenitic stainless steel with high Mn was studied. ${\alpha}$'-martensite was formed by deformation in austenitic stainless steel with high Mn. Deformation induced ${\alpha}$'-martensite was formed with surface relief by cold rolling. With the increase of deformation degree, volume fraction of deformation induced martensite was increased rapidly in early stage of deformation and then, increased slowly. With the increase of deformation degree, hardness and tensile strength were rapidly increased with linear relations, while elongation was rapidly decreased and then slowly decreased. Hardness, tensile strengths and elongation were influenced strongly by deformation induced martensite.

미량합금 원소가 첨가된 2상 조직강의 인장 특성에 미치는 마르텐사이트 분율의 영향 (Effect of Martensite Fraction on the Tensile Properties of Dual-phase Steels Containing Micro-alloying Elements)

  • In this study dual-phase steels with different ferrite grain size and martensite fraction were fabricated by varying micro-alloying elements and intercritical anneling temperatures, and then the tensile properties were investigated in terms of yield and tensile strengths, elongation, and yield ratio. The addition of micro-alloying elements reduced ferrite grain size, and the increased intercritial transformation tempeature increased the martensite fracton. The tensile test results showed that yield and tensile strengths of all the steel specimens increased with increasing the martensite fraction. However, the elongation and yield ratio were differently changed according to variations in the morphology and carbon content of martensite, ferrite grain size, and precipitates resulting from the addition of micro-alloying elements and intercritical annealing.

중탄소강의 기계적성질에 미치는 잔류오스테나이트의 영향 (Effect of retained austenite on mechanical properties in medium carbon steel)

  • We were studied to the effect of alloying element and retained austenite on a mechnical properties and that used steels were composed three types composition. According to the soaking temperature, a retained austenite was pricipitated in the bainitic ferrite matrix and it was pricipitated to a flake type of about $2{\mu}m$, a mixture of massive and bar type and a flake type of about $1{\mu}m$ size. Through x-ray diffraction analysis, the amount of retained austenite was increased with addition of Si and Ni for equal heat treatment condition and it was best abundanted in the soaking temperature of $855^{\circ}C$. The balance value of strength and elongation were complexly controlled not only a retained austenite formation but also a formation characteristic and shape of the retained austenite and bainite. The balance value of strength and elongation were most satisfactory obtained with "B" and "C" specimens in a firstly heat treated at $855^{\circ}C$ and the best result was that a $2840kg/mm^2.%$ with the heat teratment condition of $855^{\circ}C-400^{\circ}C$ used for "C" specimen.

액체암모니아 처리 면직물의 물성 및 염색성 (Physical Properties and Dyeability of Cotton Fabrics Treated with Liquid Ammonia)

  • It is generally known that cotton treated with liquid ammonia has better soft handle, wrinkle recoveries and stability of appearance as compared with the alkali mercerized cotton. In this study, the various cotton fabrics treated with liquid ammonia$(NH_3)$, sodium hydroxide(NaOH) and sodium hydroxide(NaOH)/liquid ammonia$(NH_3)$ and untreated cotton fabric were investigated and compared in terms of physical properties and dyeing behavior. As the result, the strength of four kinds of cotton fabrics were similar. But the elongation of cotton treated with liquid ammonia increased slightly. Liquid ammonia treatment reduced the crystallinity of cotton and the crystalline structure of cotton transformed from cellulose 1 to mixed structure of celluloseIand III. In dyeing, dyeing rate decreased but equilibrium dye uptake increased by liquid ammonia treatment of cotton fabrics.
