The existing electronic transaction protocol uses a cryptography algorithm that is not suitable for mobile environment because of limited memory and process ability. In this paper, we propose an efficient transaction protocol suitable for mobile embedded system. The proposed protocol reduces computation and process time by using ID-based cryptography algorithm and ECC (elliptic curve cryptosystem). It uses vendor authentication only in the first transaction, and from the second transaction, it requires transaction after authentication with session created by applying ECC technique. Therefore, the creation number of authentication for the vendor can be reduced from n to one. And it reduces process time because it provides the same security with 160 bits as with 1024 bits of RSA.

Efficient finite field operation in the elliptic curve (EC) public key cryptography algorithm, which attracts much of latest issues in the applications in information security, is very important. Traditional serial finite multipliers root from Mastrovito's serial multiplication architecture. In this paper, we adopt the polynomial basis and propose a new finite field multiplier, inducing numerical expressions which can be applied to exhibit 3 times as much performance as the Mastrovito's. We described the proposed multiplier with HDL to verify and evaluate as a proper hardware IP. HDL-implemented serial GF (Galois field) multiplier showed 3 times as fast speed as the traditional serial multiplier's adding only Partial-sum block in the hardware.

Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) is one of the finest cryptographic technique of recent time due to its lower key length and satisfactory performance with different hardware structures. In this paper, a High Throughput Multiplier architecture is introduced for Elliptic Cryptographic applications based on concurrent computations. With the aid of the concurrent computing approach, the High Throughput Concurrent Computation (HTCC) technology that was just presented improves the processing speed as well as the overall efficiency of the point-multiplier architecture. Here, first and second distinct group operation of point multiplier are combined together and synthesised concurrently. The synthesis of proposed HTCC technique is performed in Xilinx Virtex - 5 and Xilinx Virtex - 7 of Field-programmable gate array (FPGA) family. In terms of slices, flip flops, time delay, maximum frequency, and efficiency, the advantages of the proposed HTCC point multiplier architecture are outlined, and a comparison of these advantages with those of existing state-of-the-art point multiplier approaches is provided over GF(2163), GF(2233) and GF(2283). The efficiency using proposed HTCC technique is enhanced by 30.22% and 75.31% for Xilinx Virtex-5 and by 25.13% and 47.75% for Xilinx Virtex-7 in comparison according to the LC design as well as the LL design, in their respective fashions. The experimental results for Virtex - 5 and Virtex - 7 over GF(2233) and GF(2283)are also very satisfactory.

Fast scalar multiplication of points on elliptic curve is important for elliptic curve cryptography applications. In order to vary field sizes depending on security situations, the cryptography coprocessors should support variable length finite field arithmetic units. To determine the effective variable length finite field arithmetic architecture, two well-known curve scalar multiplication algorithms were implemented on FPGA. The affine coordinates algorithm must use a hardware division unit, but the projective coordinates algorithm only uses a fast multiplication unit. The former algorithm needs the division hardware. The latter only requires a multiplication hardware, but it need more space to store intermediate results. To make the division unit versatile, we need to add a feedback signal line at every bit position. We proposed a method to mitigate this problem. For multiplication in projective coordinates implementation, we use a widely used digit serial multiplication hardware, which is simpler to be made versatile. We experimented with our implemented ECC coprocessors using variable length finite field arithmetic unit which has the maximum field size 256. On the clock speed 40 MHz, the scalar multiplication time is 6.0 msec for affine implementation while it is 1.15 msec for projective implementation. As a result of the study, we found that the projective coordinates algorithm which does not use the division hardware was faster than the affine coordinate algorithm. In addition, the memory implementation effectiveness relative to logic implementation will have a large influence on the implementation space requirements of the two algorithms.
This paper describes a design of high performance modular multiplier that is essentially used for elliptic curve cryptography. Our modular multiplier supports modular multiplications for five field sizes over GF(p), including 192, 224, 256, 384 and 521 bits as defined in NIST FIPS 186-2, and it calculates modular multiplication in two steps with integer multiplication and reduction. The Karatsuba-Ofman multiplication algorithm was used for fast integer multiplication, and the Lazy reduction algorithm was adopted for reduction operation. In addition, the Nikhilam division algorithm was used for the division operation included in the Lazy reduction. The division operation is performed only once for a given modulo value, and it was designed to skip division operation when continuous modular multiplications with the same modulo value are calculated. It was estimated that our modular multiplier can perform 6.4 million modular multiplications per second when operating at a clock frequency of 32 MHz. It occupied 456,400 gate equivalents (GEs), and the estimated clock frequency was 67 MHz when synthesized with a 180-nm CMOS cell library.
Recently, the development of cloud computing technology is developed as soon as smartphones is increases, and increased that users want to receive big data service. Hadoop framework of the big data service is provided to hadoop file system and hadoop mapreduce supported by data-intensive distributed applications. But, smpartphone service using hadoop system is a very vulnerable state to data authentication. In this paper, we propose a initial authentication protocol of hadoop system assisted by smartphone service. Proposed protocol is combine symmetric key cryptography techniques with ECC algorithm in order to support the secure multiple data processing systems. In particular, the proposed protocol to access the system by the user Hadoop when processing data, the initial authentication key and the symmetric key instead of the elliptic curve by using the public key-based security is improved.

In this paper, we revisit a generally accepted opinion: implementing Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem (ECC) over GF$(2^m)$ on sensor motes using small word size is not appropriate because partial XOR multiplication over GF$(2^m)$ is not efficiently supported by current low-powered microprocessors. Although there are some implementations over GF$(2^m)$ on sensor motes, their performances are not satisfactory enough due to the redundant memory accesses that result in inefficient field multiplication and reduction. Therefore, we propose some techniques for reducing unnecessary memory access instructions. With the proposed strategies, the running time of field multiplication and reduction over GF$(2^{163})$ can be decreased by 21.1% and 24.7%, respectively. These savings noticeably decrease execution times spent in Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) operations (Signing and verification) by around $15{\sim}19%$.

In this contribution, we developed and improved an existing GF (Galois field) dividing algorithm by suggesting a novel architecture for a finite field divider, which is frequently required for the error correction applications and the security-related applications such as the Reed-Solomon code, elliptic curve encryption/ decryption, is proposed. We utilized the VHDL language to verify the design methodology, and implemented the architecture on an FPGA chip. We suggested the n-bit lookup table method to obtain the throughput of 2m/n cycles, where m is the order of the division polynomial and n is the number of the most significant lookup-bits. By doing this, we extracted the advantages in achieving both high-throughput and less cost of the gate areaon the chip. A pilot FPGA chip was implemented with the case of m=4, n=2. We successfully utilized the Altera's EP20K30ETC144-1 to exhibit the maximum operating clock frequency of 77 MHz.

Using Shor algorithm, factoring and discrete logarithm problem can be solved effectively. The public key cryptography, such as RSA and ECC, based on factoring and discrete logarithm problem can be broken in polynomial time using Shor algorithm. NIST has been conducting a PQC(Post Quantum Cryptography) standardization process to select quantum-resistant public key cryptography. The multivariate quadratic based signature scheme, which is one of the PQC candidates, is suitable for IoT devices with limited resources due to its short signature and fast sign and verify process. We analyzes classic attacks and quantum attacks for Rainbow which is the only multivatiate quadratic based signature scheme to be finalized up to the round 3. Also we compute the attack complexity for the round 3 Rainbow parameters, and analyzes the security level of Rainbow, one of the PQC standardization candidates.
