초등과학 수업에서 오조봇 코딩을 활용한 SW 융합교육프로그램의 개발과 적용 (The Development and Application of the SW-STEAM Program by Utilizing Ozobot Coding for Elementary Science Class)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the SW-STEAM program by utilizing ozobot coding for elementary science class. The developed SW-STEAM program was applied to $5^{th}$ grade students of S elementary school located in B city. The participants were divided into an experimental group which is consisted of 22 students and a comparative group comprised 22 students. And they were engaged in different teaching and learning methods during 11 class hours. The experimental group participated in the SW-STEAM program, the comparative group was taught by using a traditional instruction. The main results of this study are like followings. The SW-STEAM program had a positive effect on elementary school students' basic science process skill, science learning motive, science achievement. Therefore, the SW-STEAM program by utilizing ozobot coding could be meaningful works to encourage students' basic science process skill, science learning motive and science achievement, and more studies on developing SW-STEAM program are needed.

열과 온도 수업에서 나타난 초등학생들의 중간 언어 분석 (Analysis of Elementary Students' Interlanguage in Science Class about Heat and Temperature)

  • For effective science learning, teachers need to rearrange scientific language so that students can understand the contents with their incomplete language resources. Interlanguage is the interplay between everyday language and scientific language. The purpose of the study was to analyze the patterns of interlanguage during 4th grade science class to learn "Heat and Temperature" and to find the features of meaning sharing inside classroom in which a teacher and students participated. The data analysis shows that elementary students' interlanguage has different features compared to scientific language that involves passive voice and content-specialized nouns. Students' interlanguage implied the quality of class community's knowledge-sharing, according to the degree of how students can connect scientific language and everyday language in more effective ways. The implication to elementary science education was discussed.

기초 탐구 활동 중심 환경 수업이 초등학생들의 환경적 태도에 미치는 효과 - 초등학교 2학년 슬기로운 생활을 중심으로 - (An Effect of Inquiry Activity-based Environmental Education Class on Elementary School Students' Environmental Attitudes - Focusing on the Intelligent Life of the Second Grade -)

  • This article extracted feasible elements for an environmental education program from the 'Intelligent Life', an integrated subject of the 7th elementary school curriculum, and designed a program for second graders in the elementary school and applied it to them in order to examine how the students' environmental altitudes changed. In the controlled class, the instruction followed the lessons specified in the 7th national curriculum faithfully while for the experimental class 1, only the inquiry activity-based environmental education program was applied. Moreover, in experimental class 2, the inquiry activity-based environmental education program was implemented and wrap-up activity was performed as well with the products. To verify the program, questionnaires on the change of environmental altitudes were distributed and analyzed total three times in the pretest, posttest 1(right after the program), and posttest 2(30 days after the program). T-test was carried out with the SPSS 12 program to verify the effect of the applied program. To make up for the quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis was also conducted. The followings show the results gained after the program was implemented. First, This program showed a significant difference(p<.05) in the students' formation of environmental altitudes. Second, it was verified that the inquiry activity-based environmental education class that reorganized the second grade elementary students' 'Intelligent Life' subject had a more positive effect in the cultivation of environmental altitude than the class that followed the present curriculum as it was. It will be necessary to perform follow-up researches on the relativity between curricula for kindergarteners and lower grade elementary school students.

온라인 수업 운영 방법에 따른 수업만족도 분석 - 초등 영어과 과목을 중심으로 - (Analysis of Instruction Satisfaction by Online Class Types - Focusing on the English Class in Elementary -)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학교에서 시행되는 온라인 수업 운영 방법 중 '콘텐츠 활용 및 과제수행 수업 운영 방법'과 '실시간 쌍방향 수업 운영 방법'에 대한 수업만족도를 비교 분석하였다. 연구자는 '콘텐츠 활용 및 과제수행 수업 운영 방법'과 '실시간 쌍방향 수업 운영 방법'의 수업만족도를 비교·분석하기 위해 실험연구를 진행하였으며, 연구 집단은 경기도 화성시의 D 초등학생 98명을 선정하였다. 학생들을 대상으로 '콘텐츠 활용 및 과제수행 수업' 과 '실시간 쌍방향 수업'을 각각 진행하였으며, 각각의 수업 운영 방법에 따른 학생들의 수업만족도를 분석하였다. 분석결과 '실시간 쌍방향 수업 운영 방법'에 대한 수업만족도가 높게 나왔으며, 학생의 특성에 따른 만족도를 분석한 결과 과제수행을 잘 못 하는 학생과 수업에 집중을 잘하지 못하는 학생의 경우 '콘텐츠 활용 및 과제수행 수업 운영 방법'의 만족도가 더 높게 나왔다. 이를 통해 '콘텐츠 활용 및 과제수행 수업 운영 방법'과 '실시간 쌍방향 수업 운영 방법' 간의 장단점이 있으며, 학생의 실태를 명확히 조사하여 수업을 진행함으로써 맞춤형 온라인 수업이 될 수 있도록 제언한다.

Circle Map를 활용한 초등학교 과학수업이 학습 동기와 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Elementary Science Teaching Program with Circle Map on Learning Motive and Learning Achievement)

  • In this study, to raise the scientific literacy for students, the teaching and learning program was developed by applying the Circle Map. The purpose of this study was to find out the Effect of Elementary Science Teaching Program with Circle Map on Learning Motive and Learning Achievement. To this end, the 6th grade classroom of A-elementary school located in Jeju-city was selected the experimental group (25 patients). And the other 6th grade classroom in the same school was selected to the comparative group (25 patients). The experimental group was conducted applying the Circle Map. Comparison group has been conducted lesson program in accordance with the general science class teacher guide. Was through a pre-test of science learning motivation and academic achievement level can be assumed in the same group. After completing the experimental treatment by conducting a post-mortem examination was statistically validated. In this study, the following conclusions were obtained. First, elementary science class which applied Circle Map had the effect of to improve the scientific motivation(p <.05). In particular, association in the experimental group were higher than the scores of the comparative group, the difference was significant. Second, the Circle Map applied to elementary science class had a significant effect on improving science achievement. The experimental group which applied Circle Map was higher than the comparative group in science achievement post-test comparison. Between the groups showed a significant difference between the two groups(p <.05). The above findings, Elementary science class which applied Circle Map can be concluded to be effective in science and science achievement motivation. Therefore, applying the Circle Map of elementary science class could be useful in science teaching and learning methods. In addition, when it is determined through the previous study, applying the Circle Map classes will be able to derive a meaningful learning also subjected to a number of fields and areas.

통합교육을 위한 초등학교 특수학급영역 설계방향에 관한 연구 - 특수학급 아동의 장소성을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Design Direction for Special Education Class Area in Elementary Schools for Inclusive Education - Focused on the Sense of Place for Children in Special Education Class -)

  • Elementary School is a special facility where sense of place plays critical role for the development of children. Children in special education call for special attention as they hold inferior status compared to the children in regular class especially under the inclusive education policy. Eight cases of special education class area are analyzed in terms of social space, personal space and favorite place which is known to be basic factor for the development. As a result outdoor space found to be designed inappropriate even when designed accessible to the special education class as it could not meet the developmental needs of children in special education. Special education class area inside the building is also found to be too exclusive to allow social mix with children in regular class disregarding the intention of inclusive education. Location of these class should be strategic as it is critical to be linked with regular classroom efficiently still allowing psychological buffer as the children in special education tend to form restorative space inside the special education classroom showing the possibility of creating sense of place there.

과학 수업에서 통합적 적용 경험에 따른 초등학교 교사들의 통합 과학 교육에 대한 인식 및 교과교육학 지식(PCK)의 차이 분석 (An Analysis of the Differences in Perceptions and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) of Elementary Teachers depend on Application Experience of Integrated Science Education in the Elementary Science Class)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate significant differences between the application group and nonapplication group of integrated science education in the science class about elementary teachers' perceptions and PCK. The results are as follows. First, no significant differences were found about science teachers' fundamental background variables between the two groups. This results showed that the application of integrated science education didn't have relation with the fundamental background variables. It was found that the application group of integrated science education has a lower frequency than the application group, however, it has been analysed that the application group has been applied at the introduction stage for students' motivation, focused on biology as twice every month. Second, to apply a successful integrated education in the elementary science class, it has analysed that not only teachers should need to understand about application method and concept of integrated science education but also science textbook and teaching-learning material should be developed and diffused in the well-integrated science. Third, it was found that professionality of elementary teachers to teach the scientific content knowledge is not comparatively high and non-application group of integrated science education has a lower PCK than the application group. Therefore, it should be provided that not only training programmes to learn interdisciplinary knowledge related to science, can lead to more understanding about instructional design, teaching strategies and concept for integrated science education should be developed but also chances to participate in various training programmes should be provided to enhance elementary teachers' professionality for integrated science education.

초등학생의 디지털 소양 함양을 위한 예비 초등교사의 과학 수업 실행 탐색 (Exploration of Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Science Teaching Practices to Cultivate Elementary Students' Digital Literacy)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학생의 디지털 소양 함양을 위한 예비 초등교사의 과학 수업 실행을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 광주광역시의 ㄱ교육대학교 4학년 학생 4명을 대상으로 면담을 실시하였고, 교수학습과정안과 수업 실행 영상을 분석하였다. 면담 질문은 과학 수업 계획 단계와 과학 수업 실행 단계, 과학 수업 실행 후 단계로 구분하였고, 면담 내용은 녹음 후 전사하여 범주화하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과학 수업 계획 단계에서 예비 초등교사들은 초등학생의 디지털 소양 함양을 위해 디지털 교수학습 도구를 선택할 때 해당 주제의 활동과의 관련성, 초등학생에게 익숙한 정도 등을 고려하였다. 교수학습과정안을 작성하면서 디지털 소양함양 관련 기준을 설정하는 데 어려움을 겪었다. 둘째, 과학 수업을 실행하면서 예비 초등교사들은 학생의 수업 참여도 향상, 실시간 자료 공유를 통한 학생별 지도 가능성 증가 등의 긍정적인 경험을 했던 반면에, 디지털 교수학습 도구를 원활하게 활용하지 못해서 수업 시간이 초과되기도 하였다. 셋째, 과학 수업 후에 예비교사들은 수업에 대한 성찰 및 요구사항을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 예비 초등교사들의 디지털 소양 개발 필요성과 교육대학 교육과정 개선의 필요성을 제안하였다.

워크시트를 활용한 환경수업이 초등학생들의 환경인식 및 환경행동에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Environment Worksheet on the Elementary Students' Environmental Perceptions & Behavior)

  • This study aims to find out an effect of 3 types of environment worksheets used for 5th elementary graders's environmental class on their environmental perceptions and behavior. 104 of 5th graders in M elementary school in Ulsan Metropolitan City were selected and divided into A group(35), B group(34) and C group(35) for this study, and to A group, a class used worksheet of the photo taken clean, unpolluted environment, and to B group, a class used worksheet of the photo taken polluted environment and to C group, a class used worksheet of only text without photo were carried out. The worksheet used class was conducted 5 times, and then after the classes, the student's change in environmental perceptions and behavior by group was put into verification Below are the study results. First, the worksheets used for the environment class have incurred significant differences in student's environmental perceptions by their types. A. B groups were higher than C group in their post-test environmental perceptions score, a statistically significant differences. Meanwhile, statistically insignificant differences appeared in environmental perceptions score between A and B groups. Second, the type of worksheet used for environment class represented considerable differences in he students' environmental behavior. A group was higher than B. C groups in post test environment behavior score, the difference of which was statistically significant. While statistically insignificant difference represented in environmental behavior between B, C groups. Third, the both types of worksheets of the photo of positive environment and that of negative environment appeared to be effective statistically in changing the elementary students' environmental behavior, while the worksheets of the photo of positive environment appeared to be effective statistically in their environmental behavior.

초등학교 예비교사들의 수학 수업 관점에 대한 연구 - 예비교사들의 수업 논평 비교를 중심으로 - (Examining the Prospective Elementary Teachers' Perspectives on Mathematics Class - Focused on the Comparison of the Comments on the Mathematics Class -)

  • 본 연구는 교사교육 프로그램 이수 기간이 서로 다른 초등학교 예비교사들의 수학 수업 논평을 분석함으로써 예비교사들의 수학 수업에 대한 관점을 비교하고 그 특징을 확인하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 교육대학교에서 수학교육을 심화로 전공하고 있는 3학년 예비교사들과 4학년 예비교사들에게 한 초등학교 교사의 수학 수업을 관찰하면서 수업 논평문을 작성하도록 한 후, 그 수업 논평문을 분석하는 방식으로 수업 관점을 조사하였다. 본 연구 결과, 4학년 예비교사들은 여러 수학교육 이론을 적용하여 수업을 논평한다는 점에서 3학년 예비교사들과 현저한 차이를 보였다. 또한, 4학년 예비교사들은 3학년 예비교사들에 비해 더욱 엄격한 기준으로, 그리고 더욱 심층적으로 수업을 논평하였다. 한편, 4학년 예비교사들이 여러 수학교육 이론을 적용하여 수업을 논평할 때, 일부 이론에 대해서는 그 이론이 지향하는 본질의 범위를 과도하게 확장하여 수업에 적용하는 경향이 있음이 확인되었다.
