The purpose of this study is to present a case of the development and application of a one-time special lecture program that requires the use of computers in frontline elementary and secondary schools. For this purpose, the researcher developed an Arduino-based special lecture program that works as a teaching tool to help with the functions of a student PC with a Raspberry Pi. This special lecture program was applied at three elementary and middle schools near K-University, and then the program was evaluated. The results of this study are as follows. First, the researcher developed a teaching aid for PC functions to be used in special lectures. Second, teaching and learning materials for visiting special lecture education programs using Arduino were developed. Third, in the special lecture, a teaching-learning method was used to guide a small number of students individually. Fourth, the special lecture program resulted in high satisfaction. The results of this study can be a useful reference for teachers who plan one-time special lecture programs requiring computers or for those who want to apply physical computing-related devices in an educational field.
In this paper, we generalized number partion problems in elementary situations to number partition models that provide some mathematical problem situations for experiencing mathematising of secondary pre-service teachers. We designed substantial teaching units entitled 'the inquiry intof number partition models' through 4 steps: (1) key problems, (2) integration from the view of partition, (3) defining partition (4) a real practice of inquiry into models. This teaching unit can contribute to secondary pre-service teacher education as follows: first, This teaching unit have pre-service teachers experience mathemtising. second, This teaching unit have pre-service teachers see the connection between school mathematics and academic mathematics. third, This teaching unit have pre-service teachers foster their mathematical creativity.

An inquiry approach in teaching science has been advocated by many science educators for the past few decades, and most elementary and secondary science curricula have incorporated it in varying degrees. It has been proven in recent studies, however, that there exists considerable discrepancy between the expectation of outcomes of the inquiry approach and the actuality. This in part implies that there is a somewhat urgent need for the systematic evaluation of the approach in teaching science. The purpose of this study is to develop a comprehensive instrument for evaluating inquiry teaching approaches embedded in science curricular materials. To develop a more valid and reliable instrument a set of empirical data was used in the developmental procedure, and most of the previous studies regarding inquiry teaching method and inquiry evaluation were consulted. The inquiry evaluation method developed in this study, called the Scientific Inquiry Evaluation Inventory (SIEI), is composed of three parts: (1) analyzing and coding each science process task of inquiry activity; (2) evaluating each inquiry activity as a whole; and (3) evaluating each science laboratory curriculum as a whole. The first part of the instrument consists of twenty science process categories and thirty subcategories grouped into four sections: (1) gathering and organizing data; (2) interpreting and analyzing data; (3) synthesizing results and evaluation; and (4) hypothesizing and designing an experiment. The science process categories are arranged according to the level of difficulty, psychological level of thinking, degree of creativity demand, and the model of the process of scientific inquiry, which is also developed in the study. The second part of the instrument contains four evaluation scales of inquiry activity: (1) competition/cooperation scale; (2) discussion scale; (3) openness scale; and (4) inquiry scope scale. And the last part consists of three methods for evaluating a science laboratory curriculum as a whole: (1) inquiry pyramid; (2) inquiry index; and (3) difficulty index. The instrument is designed to be used by teachers, science curriculum developers and science education evaluators for the purpose of diagnosing the nature and appropriateness of scientific inquiry introduced in secondary science curricular materials, especailly in laboratory work and field work.
The goal of this study is to investigate the current status of implementation of convergence education in elementary, middle, and high schools. A survey was conducted on 871 in-service teachers nationwide, and frequency analysis was conducted by school level. Key findings are as follows: first, 449 (51.5%) are found to practice convergence education. Second, the reason for implementing convergence education is the voluntary effort of teachers and the educational necessity for the future society. Third, it was found that convergence education is being implemented centered on science, arts, and social studies as a link between subjects in regular curriculum hours. Fourth, 270 (64%) of teachers who implemented convergence education in response to COVID-19 performed online convergence education, and experienced difficulties in creating class materials and communicating with students. Fifth, the excessive work of teachers, insufficient support for teacher training and research group activities, and lack of various convergence education programs are suggested as reasons for not implementing convergence education. This study hopes to provide implications for policy and implementation for revitalizing convergence education.
The purpose of this study was to develop learning model turtle boat of teaching-learning materials in order for the students to enhance knowledge, skill and attitude and give interest in transportation technology, and also to recognize the legacy of Korean history. The model turtle boat was developed through three major phases; preparation, development and improvement. The main results of this study were as follows: First, the model turtle boat was developed for students to cultivate design, fabrication, process abilities, and also technological literacy by experimenting and fabricating for themselves. Second, the learning model turtle boat developed is equipped with the sail using natural energy, the linkage and screw applying a mechanical energy and solar cell using solar energy among driving energy. Third, in order to increase interest and attitude regarding a ship in transportation technology, the model turtle boat was developed for students to be able to operate with wireless transceiver on water. Fourth, the model turtle boat was developed to apply the teaching and learning materials for the classes of experiment and practice in primary and secondary schools.

The purpose of this study was to survey the teachers' view on using argumentation in school science. For the purpose of this study, the questionnaire was designed for in-depth interview with an in-service middle school science teacher with Ph.D. and was completed through pilot testing with elementary and secondary in-service teachers. The data was surveyed from 1,015 teachers; 762 elementary school teachers, 127 middle school science teachers, and 126 high school science teachers. From the frequencies analysis of the data, the results indicated that the first students made some argumentation accord claim with evidence, the second, the teachers gave some opportunities to their students through the theme within their living environment or lab-activities involving argumentation, and lastly, most of the teachers recognized the absolute necessity of argumentation. From these results, recommendations about some post researches were suggested.

In this paper, we developed an artificial intelligence literacy education program to strengthen the AI convergence education capacity and cultivate literacy of in-service elementary and secondary teachers, and verify the effect on the degree of interest in artificial intelligence convergence education by applying it. As a test tool, the level of interest questionnaire scale developed by George, Hall & Stiegelbauer(2006) was used based on the center of interest acceptance model of Hall et al.(1979). As a result of analyzing the degree of interest in artificial intelligence convergence education before and after the application of the artificial intelligence literacy education program, the types of non-users were found both before and after the application of the program, but the overall degree of interest increased compared to before application. As a result of analyzing the satisfaction result of the artificial intelligence literacy education program, a response that was satisfied in most areas was derived, but there was a tendency to be somewhat less satisfied with the case of convergence and application of artificial intelligence and industry.
Due to the rapid rise of artificial intelligence technology around the world, SW education conducted in elementary and secondary schools is expanding including AI education. Therefore, this study aims to present an AI education system based on 4P(Play, Problem Solving, Product Making, Project) that can be applied from kindergarten to high school. The AI education system presented in this study is designed to be applied in 4P-based Play, Problem Solving, Product Making, and Project 4 stages so that it can be applied by school age and step by step. The level was presented by dividing it into two areas: AI literacy and AI development. In order to verify the validity of the developed AI education system, the Delphi method was applied to 15 experts who had experience in SW education or AI education. The AI education system derived as a result of the verification will be able to contribute to the development of a content system for AI education at each school level in the future.
