Electrical and Magnetical Characteristics for PZT/Ferrite Ceramics (PZT/Ferrite 합성 세라믹의 특성에 관한 기초연구)

  • This thesis deal with ferroelectric and ferromagnetic materials. PZT/Ferrite ceramics were made by the making process using PZT powder and garnet ferrite powder. PZT and ferrite are mixed as much 90%-10%, 50%-50%, and so on. After making samples, we are polishing samples until thickness is 0.1~0.2mm. We measured all kinds of samples in room temperature and applied magnetic field from -4500 to 4500 Oersted and conducted test of magnetical and electrical measurement using VSM and lpC resolution electrometer calibrated with RT66A pulsed tester. From this measurement, we can calculate tunability of these samples using C value obtained from P-E loop. As a result, it was able to measure magnetic characteristic when two matter had each other component ratio, and it was compound. However, it confirmed the possibility that was able to have ferroelectric characteristic with you in PZT 90% and ferrite 10%. Therefore, If this thing comes for PZT 50% and ferrite 50% have ferroelectric characteristic as him in a compound sample ore, can use this in an oscillator, supersonic waves detector in addition to a piezoelectric element. It may contribute to multipurpose of an element and demands such as a miniaturization of equipment, efficiency, reduce of a price which can use a characteristic of two components.

  • Accurate models of the characteristics of typical inverse-time overcurrent (OC) protective devices play an important role in the protective coordination schemes. This paper presents a novel approach to determine the OC protective device parameters. The approach is based on the Eigensystem Realization Algorithm which generates a state space model to fit the characteristics of OC protective devices. Instead of the conventional characteristic curves, the dynamic state space model gives a more exact fit of the OC protective device characteristics. This paper demonstrates the feasibility of decomposing the characteristic curve into smooth components and oscillation components. 19 characteristic curves from 13 typical and 6 non-typical OC protective devices are chosen for curve-fitting. The numbers of fitting components required are determined by the maximum absolute values of errors for the fitted equation. All fitted equations are replaced by a versatile equation for the characteristics of OC protective devices which represents the characteristic model of a novel flexible OC relay, which in turn may be applied to improve the OC coordination problems in the sub-transmission and distribution systems.

  • 2G HTS tapes are widely used for various electric machines. In addition, stacked or parallel connected HTS tapes are essentially used to raise transport current level for large capacity electric machines. Therefore, critical current characteristic of stacked tapes need to be studied. Recently developed 2G HTS tapes are fabricated with various defects doping so that tapes possess pinning center to improve the critical current characteristic. During this process, the critical current is determined minimum value in not perpendicular magnetic field but a specific magnetic field angle according to the reported research. However, the effects of magnetic field angle to critical current of multi-stacked 2G HTS tapes have not been examined. In this paper, field coil which is a race-track coil wound by using an HTS tape with iron-core was fabricated to apply angle adjustable magnetic field to the 2G HTS tape samples. We measured critical current of single and multi-stacked two tapes that have different characteristic depending on various magnetic field angle and magnitude in liquid nitrogen environment. Furthermore, results of single and multi-stacked tapes were compared and analyzed.

  • This paper presents the numerical analysis of piezoelectric devices using three-dimensional finite element analysis. The characteristic of piezoelectric transducer, such as mechanical displacement and electrical are analyzed and the validity is confirmed by experiments Applying the finite element routine to a piezoelectric transformer, the resonance features electrical impedance. the ratio of step-up voltage and vibration mode of piezoelectric transformer are calculated numerically By using three-dimensional finite element method effects of width variation to resonance features, electrical input impedance and the voltage step-up ratio for a piezoelectric transformer, can be considered in design procedure.

  • This paper proposes the boost input type active clamp DC-DC converter featuring the high efficiency and improved EMI characteristics. The main characteristic of the converter is to operate with the non-pulsating input and output currents. Besides, it has the zero-voltage switching (ZVS) and low voltage stress characteristics. For the proposed converter, the detailed operation principles and the simulation results are presented.

  • In this paper, we proposed a dual-directional SCR (silicon-controlled rectifier) based ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection circuit. In comparison with conventional SCR, this ESD protection circuit can provide an effective protection against ESD pulses in the two opposite directions, so the ESD protection circuit can be discharged in two opposite direction. The proposed circuit has a higher holding voltage characteristic than conventional SCR. These characteristic enable to have latch-up immunity under normal operating conditions as well as superior full chip ESD protection. it was analyzed to figure out electrical characteristics in term of individual design parameters. They are investigated by using the Synopsys TCAD simulator. In the simulation results, it has trigger voltage of 6.5V and holding voltage increased with different design parameters. The holding voltage of the proposed circuit changes from 2.1V to 6.3V and the proposed circuit has symmetrical I-V characteristic for positive and negative ESD pulse.

  • Objectives : Assuming that the characteristic of meridian system has been similar to that of electrical potentials in human body and that measurements of electrical potential at well(井穴) and sea (合穴) points in branches of the twelve meridians(WSBTM) will be representative of measurements of the twelve meridians, to measure the electrical potentials of 13 patients with stiffness of nape(項强症, SN), to find out the characteristic of meridian system in patients with SN. Methods : Electrical potentials of well and sea points in the meridians in 13 patients with stiffness at neck diagnosed as SN were repeatedly measured by physiograph(PowerLab). Measurements of those electrical potentials were analyzed by factor analysis. Results and Conclusions : The electrical potentials of WSBTM at the left side were divided into five factors. On the other hand those at the right side were divided into five factors. In conclusion, electrical potentials of well and sea points might be the representative meridian to show their characteristics.

  • In this study, a system for measurement of impedance (transmission parameter) on the human muscle was constructed. The system composed of the stimulating part for input with milli-voltage and the measuring part for measurement of transmission voltage in human muscle. As a result of this experiment, the frequency characteristic of each subject represent that the transmission voltage goes up in spite of a constant input voltage according to frequency (1Hz -50kHz) increment. Namely, the amplitude of input signal was not reflected but frequency was reflected on the measured results. This result be estimated that the proposed system is able to measure passive electrical characteristic of human body.

  • This thesis complemented the weak points that the existing theses did not represented a phase characteristic as the equivalent circuit by applying 4-port simulation to DGS (Defected Ground Structure) characteristic and an equivalent circuit, which are the transmission line structure that has the defect made in the ground surface. We used a distribute device and a lumped device, obtained the equivalent circuit by applying the structure of balun to a discontinuous part. An indicated DGS (Defected Ground structure) is a dumbbells-shaped single defect, we indicated satisfying a magnitude and phase characteristics by applying this equivalent circuit.
