Data acquisition is as important as data processing and interpretation in the field of marine geophysical exploration. Marine geophysicist, however, may not have enough information in this field because data acquisition method has been mainly developed by the commercial companies manufacturing the equipment. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to introduce the general data acquisition method and information to help to construct the systematic and effective survey plan. When a survey plan is set up, the most important thing is to select the seismic equipment based on required penetration depth and resolution, and then construct the survey line intervals. Although a line interval varies from the research purposes, it should be narrower than the expected subsurface structures. Also, if 100% coverage of multibeam data is required, line intervals need to be adjusted based on the equipment characteristics. In case of merging with the preexisting dataset like bathymetry, gravity and magnetic, cross-over errors occurred at the each cross point should be removed to avoid any kinds of misinterpretation.
Anchor, soil nail and micropile have been widely used for slope reinforcement and foundation. These all methods need grouting work after placing reinforcing member. The pressure injection-grouting techniques helps to increase the bearing capacity of reinforcing member by enhancing larger effective pile diameter and increasing the radial stresses acting on the grout body and causing irregular surface. However, the pressure reinjection-grouting techniques is not commonly used because grouting equipment and practical application example are short and the verification of reinforcing effect is difficult. In this study, the laboratory test was performed to evaluate the reinforcing effect with variation of grouting methods in clay. As a result of the test, the pressure reinjection-grouting techniques showed that the pullout capacity of reinforcing member increased up to 1.22~2.61 times comparing to the gravity fill techniques.

In this research, we develop an airborne equipment radiating S/C-band signal to a target located at a long distance. RF interface of the equipment comprises band-specific transmitters and an broadband antenna to satisfy EIRP(effective isotropic radiated power) requirements. The equipment is in a shape of a POD like an aircraft fuel tank. The measured weight of the equipment is 119.8 kg, the CG(center of gravity) is 1391.35 mm and the MOI(moment of inertia) are 46.07 ± 0.05(Iyy) kg·㎡, 45.36 ± 0.09(Izz) kg·㎡. All results are found to meet the requirements for aircraft installation. To verify flight safety, EMI(electromagnetic interference) tests (RE102, CE102), environmental tests (high/low temperature operation, altitude), intra-system EMC(electromagnetic compatibility) and HERP(hazards electromagnetic radiation personnel) tests have been conducted and all the test results met the requirements. It is confirmed that the equipment could be mounted on the aircraft by meeting all electrical and mechanical requirements.
This study was carried out to investigate the change of dimensional stability of thermally compressed Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis Sieb. et Zucc.) wood by post heat treatment. Specific gravity of compressed wood was notably increased with thermal compression. In the compression set 50%, compressed Korean pine showed a specific gravity of 0.84. The amount of water absorption and swelling of thermally compressed Korean pine decreased with increasing temperature and time of the heat treatment. Set recovery also decreased with increasing temperature and time of heat treatment. Thermally compressed Korean pine that heat-treated in $120^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours showed a set recovery of 3.8%, whereas non-treated group showed 11.5%. Therefore, it was confirmed that the thermal treatment was a very effective method for the dimensional stability of the heat compressed wood.

The first category of Affective Domain objectives in Bloom's Taxonomy is about "Receiving". In it, the first subdivision listed is "Awareness" (Krathwohl, Bloom & Masia, 1964). Since these categories are intended to be hierarchical in ascending order of internalization, it is important that young learners be given ample opportunities in their learning experiences in class to be aware of positive values and effective life skills. This paper reports a feasibility study on the adoption of an integrative cognitive-affective learning approach in a primary school science lesson. 37 primary six students in a Singapore primary school were taught the concept of centre of gravity, including a hands-on activity to find the centre of gravity of an irregularly shaped cardboard by using a plumbline. After reviewing how a plumbline works, their teacher then led them into a discussion on the question "Who is the plumbline in your life?" a reference to identifying positive role models in their lives. From the transcript of the students' in-class sharing and their written responses to the question, it is clear that the integrative cognitive-affective learning approach did enable students to present their ideas and learning experiences in the affective domain quite readily. This conclusion provides a valuable lead to a follow-up project on whether students who are exposed to such integrative learning approaches will be more capable and more aware of identifying important positive social habits or values. If so, then the teaching of values in schools could take on a whole new dimension, that of borrowing students' learning energy in the cognitive domain to learn values and life skills in the affective domain.
Limbs and supporting structures of an organism experience a full weight of its own when it lands from water, because neutral buoyancy in the aquatic habitat will be no longer available in the terrestrial world. Metamorphosis of anuran amphibians presents 8 good research model to examine how this transition from non-loading to weight-loading affects development of motor capacity at the time of their first emergence on land. Our video analysis of the transitional anurans, Rana catesbeiana, at Gosner stage 46 (the stage of complete transformation) demonstrated that the take-off speed increased 1.23-fold after the first six hours of weight-loading on the wet ground. It did not increase further during the following three days of loading, and was close to the level of mature frogs with different body mass. During development of larvae in deep water with no chance of landing through metamorphosis, both tension and power of a hindlimb anti-gravity muscle increased 5-fold between stages 37 and n. However, the muscle contractility increased more rapidly when the larvas could access the wet ground by their natural landing behavior after stages 41-42. Muscle power, one of major factors affecting locomotory speed, was 1.29-fold greater in the loaded than in the non-loaded larvae at the transitional stage. Thus, weight-loading had a potentially significant effect on the elevation of motor capacity, with a similar extent of increment in locomotory speed and muscle power during the last stages of metamorphosis. Such a motor adjustment of the froglets in a relatively short transitional period would be important for effective ecological interactions and survival in their inexperienced terrestrial life.

In this research, we studied the scale-up triboelectrostatic process for separation of PVC from higher gravity fraction of plastic wastes produced from wet gravity separation process. High density polyethylene (HDPE) was found to be the most effective materials for a tribo-charger in the separation of plastic tailings. In a commercial scale triboelelctrostatic separator unit, using the HDPE pipe-line charger, a grade of 99.1% with PET, PS and others and a recovery of 86% was obtained under optimum conditions at over 250 kV/m electric field, a splitter position of -8 cm from the center, and less than 40% relative humidity. The developed unit can process the plastic wastes at a 300 kg/h, and the product can be utilized as RPF or RDF of over grade 2.
The effect and control of wood property of reconstituted composite panels for improved board properties by wood-waste materials and development of combination method for heterogeneous materials have been of interest to the wood science researchers. The purpose of this study is to consider the properties in relation to hot pressing conditions and to develope the optimum hot pressing condition with waste wood and waste tire for the manufacturing of composite boards. The study of composite boards for recycling of wood and waste tire is nothing up to the present. Physical and mechanical properties such as specific gravity, moisture content, swelling coefficient, modulus of rupture and modulus of elasticity in bending test were studied. The condition of 3-stage press time for the lowest moisture content of composite board was $4{\rightarrow}3{\rightarrow}3$ minutes. Specific gravity of composite panels was affected mainly by the amount of rubber chip. Because of the low rigidity and high elasticity in rubber chip, it is considered the composite panel was adequate material in the place of compression load, but not bending load. Therefore, it was concluded that a use of rubber-based wood composite panel is proper to the interior materials such as floor a room than exterior materials. From the test results, the most optimum hot pressing conditions were $4{\rightarrow}3{\rightarrow}3$ minutes for 3-stage press time and $45{\rightarrow}20{\rightarrow}5kg/cm^2$ for 3-stage press pressure. The rubber-based wood composite panel was very excellent in elasticity by combination of rubber chip in comparison with existing other wood-based materials. Therefore, it was considered that rubber-based wood composites can be applicable to every interior materials such as floor a room and will be expected to effective reuse and recycle of waste tires and wood-waste materials, and will be contribute to protection of environment pollution in earth.
Purpose - This paper analyzes the effect of the agricultural export market for Korea's new southern countries in consideration of logistics efficiency. In order to expand Korean agricultural exports, the logistics performance index, national income, per capita income, consumer price index, distance and FTA are included. Through empirical analysis, the impact of logistics efficiency on Korean agricultural exports is derived and measures are proposed to expand exports in the future. Design/methodology - The analytical model of this study takes into account the import demand factors of the new southern countries for Korean agricultural exports. A research model was established based on prior research based on the gravity model, which is widely used in international trade effect analysis. In particular, logistics efficiency measures the effect on Korean agricultural exports using the logistics performance index and examines the effect by deriving factors for export expansion. Findings - The main findings of this study can be summarized as follows: The higher the logistics efficiency of the new southern countries in exporting Korean agricultural products, the more directly they have an effect on expanding exports. In addition, it was analyzed that the expansion of Korean agricultural exports has a positive effect on the other countries' national income, per capita income, consumer price index, population, and FTA. Based on these results, the importance of efficient logistics management in agricultural exports has been emphasized. Originality/value - There are not many studies on the export of agricultural products by logistics efficiency. However, prior studies that have adapted to manufacturing and other areas suggest that logistics efficiency has a direct effect on exports. This study suggests that Korean agricultural products are directly effective in exporting to new southern countries in terms of logistics efficiency. This can be an important time point in recognizing that logistics capabilities are important to ensure new books and the safety of agricultural products.
This study examined the trade of the Central Asian CIS countries and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region. These countries are rich in resources such as oil, natural gas and aluminum. These countries were switched to capitalist market economy after independence from the Soviet Union. So, these countries are considered as new emerging markets. This study analyzed the current status of trade between Daegu-Gyeongbuk region and Central Asian CIS countries. The result of analysis of the trade structure between the Daegu-Gyeongbuk and Central Asian CIS countries, and of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region exports to Central Asian CIS countries showed insufficience when compared with the total export of korea. In this study, we used the gravity model to analyze the trade volume of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region and Central Asian CIS countries. The result of analysis is that the globalization of Central Asian CIS countries appeared to be effective in increasing trade. In order to increase trade, Korea and CIS countries should strengthen their economic cooperation. Especially, these countries should try to implement FTAs for economic integration. The Central Asian CIS countries have an industrial structure that relies on resource exports. So, they have a blueprint for diversification of industries through national long-term plans. The Daegu-Gyeongbuk region's economy has been going through long-term stagnation. If the Daegu-Gyeongbuk companies can enter the Central Asian CIS countries, it can be a solution for the local economy.
