The study explored empirically user participatory design methods for realizing user demand efficiently and evaluating alternatives systematically by using design indicators such as the design quality indicators system of the UK. In the empirical exploratory process utilizing design indicators, the study selected design indicators, and conducted a survey of design realization methods, evaluation methods, and user participatory design utilizing design indicators. Also, concerning the empirical exploratory process, it can be classified into a preliminary survey aimed at those majoring in architecture; a user group survey aimed at elementary school students, parents, and teachers; and a professional group survey aimed at professionals in architecture. In particular, the study carried out the survey for the empirical exploratory process of user participatory design by combining on-line and off-line methods.

Korean academic libraries are facing serious space shortage problems due to an inability to accommodate for the rapidly increasing number of printed materials. Despite the current situation, Korean academic libraries have largely focused on impractical applications of the new library paradigm, using technology or management programs to improve the quality of research and learning environments of the university. However, such improvements would be fruitless without first resolving the space shortage crisis. In order to make realistic improvements to the quality of academic libraries, this study used questionnaires to employ the opinions of librarians currently practicing at such Korean libraries. Survey questionnaires about types and causes of space shortage problems, library facility expansion plans, expected effects of expansion, frequency of and reasons for furniture relocation, and tight spaces needing improvement were distributed to selected 4-year college librarians through Google Drive. Analysis of survey responses indicated that library space shortage was largely responsible for the hindrance of research and learning environments. Furthermore, it reflected the urgency to secure book storage space.

One of the most important service industries that emerged in the last decade is "Higher Education". The most of the higher education institutes involve in marketing efforts to build up a good image, to improve the level of satisfaction of students and the stakeholders, to gain competitive advantage with respect to competitors and as well as to increase their market share. Within this intense competition universities should identify and meet the expectations of students to attract more and to retain the existing students. This study is to gain more insights into the dimensions of satisfaction of the university students and factors that affecting their judgments. SSI educational experience questionnaire is used to identify the importance and performance perceptions of students' in Eastern Mediterranean University among different dimensions and also study find out the difference between importance and performance scores of eleven educational experience dimensions. Results show that "Academic Advising", "Instruction Effectiveness", "Recruitment and Financial Aid" and "Student Centeredness" was very important to students. Study also provides managerial implications as well.

Marine aquariums are excellent venues for accomplishing the purpose of marine education, and school field trips conducted at non-formal settings continue to be an important part of K-12 education. The purpose of this study is to provide quantitative data regarding the extent and quality of marine aquarium field trips conducted by elementary school teachers in Seoul. A web survey designed to explore elementary school teachers' experiences and perspectives on aquarium field trips identified several concerns regarding Korean marine aquarium education. Discussions for both Korean aquaria's educational roles and Korean elementary schools' successful field trips to aquaria are presented with the goal of improving the quality of Korean marine aquarium education.

The current education is becoming more extensive with the application of various teaching methods. This is a problem that is so distributed that it is difficult for users to find the data and it takes a long time to find the information they need. Currently, various educational services, materials, and instruments are developed and scattered. Therefore, it is important to raise students' awareness of aptitude and career path with customized education tailored to students. Conventional education platforms have very difficult to choose the right materials for students because of the spread of educational programs and institution materials. To solve this, we propose a customized recommendation approach to recommend customized educational service materials and institution for students to teachers, which helps teachers conveniently choose materials suitable for their respective environments. On this new platform, the CNN algorithm provides recommended content for classes and students. For real service on the educational service platform, we implement this system for Jeil edus business. Through this mechanism, we expect to improve the quality of education by helping to select the right service.

This study evaluated two educational spaces, one middle school and one high school in point of universal design. The survey method with an observation and measuring method was used. The subject were 238 students of a middle and a high school. They evaluated their schools according to 53 universal design related items which consisted of 5 principles. Findings were as follows ; 1) The width of passage between desk and desk was very narrow and there is the threshold at the door of classroom. The students evaluated them negatively, too. Also, they indicated that the size of individual locker was small and the corner of furniture was sharp. 2) The width of door and passage was narrow and the floor was not flat in restroom. The design quality such as color and finishes was not good. Also, the students evaluated all these items negatively. 3) The dining space was too big. That is, so many students takes meals in one big space. The dining tables were arranged in a long rows and the width between them was also so narrow to pass through. 4) The student of high school evaluated their educational environments more negatively than ones of middle high school. This means that the high school students were more dissatisfied with their school environment. The educational environment should be designed on the base of their students' needs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for developing an educational program that can be practically applied in the field of survival swimming education. Research design, data, and methodology: This study reviewed prior literature including governmental reports, journal articles related to survival swimming programs at home and abroad. Based on the basic data collected through literature, domestic and foreign educational institutions and national educational programs were cataloged and analyzed. Results: The study found that among the goals of swimming education, the prevention of water accidents and the cultivation of water safety skills along with improving swimming ability are very important educational goals. Currently, domestic survival swimming education programs are divided into classes and training sessions, so it is necessary to develop an educational program according to each individual's swimming ability and a unified and systematic program through education for each level of survival swimming learners. Conclusions: It is thought that the reinforcement of the leader's capacity for quality improvement will have a positive effect for the development of survival swimming. Further implications were discussed.

본 연구는 호주와 캐나다, 네덜란드 등 우리보다 외국인 유학생 교육에 적극적인 자세로 참여해 온 국가들의 외국인 유학생 교육기관 인증제의 세부 특징들을 고찰하고 이를 상호 비교 분석하여 우리나라의 외국인 유학생 교육 질 보장 체계 확립을 위한 정책적 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목표로 하여 수행되었다. 3개국의 사례 비교 분석 결과, 3개국 모두 규제 중심의 과거 자세에서 벗어나 보다 상업적 관점에서 외국인 학생의 유치와 효과적인 교육을 인증제의 주된 목표로 삼고 있었고, 이같은 목표에 따라 외국인 유학생에 대한 교육기관의 교육 역량 및 서비스 능력 개선이 인증제의 구체적인 내용을 구성하고 있었다. 또한 국제화라는 추세가 전세계적으로 중요한 변화임에는 분명하지만 적어도 인증제에서는 국제화 자체가 질 보장의 목표와 동일시되지 않는다는 점도 확인하였다. 이와 같은 비교 분석 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 올해 시행 4년차에 돌입하는 '외국인 유학생 유치·관리 역량 인증제'의 정책 목표를 분명히 하고 교육기관들의 실질적인 교육 역량 강화를 유도할수 있는 정량·정성적 평가기준을 설정할 것을 제안하였다.

The article proves that the main goal of informatization of higher education institutions in the EU countries is to improve the quality of education of future specialists by introducing digital educational resources into the education process. The main tasks of informatization of education are defined. Digital educational resources are interpreted as a set of data in digital form that is applicable for use in the learning process; it is an information source containing graphic, text, digital, speech, music, video, photo and other information aimed at implementing the goals and objectives of modern education; educational resources on the Internet, electronic textbooks, educational programs, electronic libraries, etc. The creation of digital educational resources is defined as one of the main directions of informatization of all forms and levels of Education. Types of digital educational resources by educational functions are considered. The factors that determine the effectiveness of using digital educational resources in the educational process are identified. The use of digital educational resources in the training of future specialists in the EU countries is considered in detail. European countries note that digital educational resources in professional use allow you to implement a fundamentally new approach to teaching and education, which is based on broad communication, free exchange of opinions, ideas, information of participants in a joint project, on a completely natural desire to learn new things, expand their horizons; is based on real research methods (scientific or creative laboratories), allowing you to learn the laws of nature, the basics of techniques, technology, social phenomena in their dynamics, in the process of solving vital problems, features of various types of creativity in the process of joint activities of a group of participants; promotes the acquisition by teachers of various related skills that can be very useful in their professional activities, including the skills of using computer equipment and various digital technologies.

This study was undertaken to examine the degree of quality of life and to analyze the factors affecting those quality of life in middle-aged men. Method: The subjects of this study were 208 men aged by 35-55 from 3 business enterprises located in Seoul and Incheon. Data collection was conducted through the use of 5 questionnaire. Result: There were significant differences in the quality of life according to marital status, religion, educational level, number of children and total house income. A positive correlation was found between quality of life and all independent variables i.e., health promoting behaviors, health perception, social support, self-esteem and self-efficacy. Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor was self-esteem. Self- esteem, health perception, health promoting behaviors, marriage, and social support accounted for 65% of the variance in quality of life in middle-aged men. Conclusion: All independent variables i.e., health promoting behaviors, health perception, social support, self-esteem and self-efficacy were related with quality of life in middle-aged men. Therefore it is necessary to develop the nursing intervention with these variables to increase the quality of life for middle-aged men.
