A human in urban areas has depended on ecosystem for well-being, so it is important to evaluate urban ecosystem services which contribute significantly to human well-being. In this study we classified ecosystem functions and set indicators used for evaluating ecosystem services of urban park by Delphi method. As a result, it derived 12 items and 14 indicators of ecosystem services to evaluate them such as vegetable garden, canopy cover, biodiversity, and educational programs. Based on the derived evaluation indicators, the feasibility of the indicators was examined by applying to two urban parks, Maetan park and Seoho-Ggotme park, in Suwon City. We also suggested strategies to improve each ecosystem services based on the results of evaluation. It is significant to recognize unknown services in urban parks. The results can be used for improving urban ecosystem services consistently in response to current rapid urbanization. In the future, the city should make a master plan on ecosystem service on urban area, beyond urban park, considering both of quality and quantity.
Growth traits, such as body weight, directly influence productivity and economic efficiency in the swine industry. In this study, we estimate heritability for body weight traits usinginformation from pedigree and genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) chip data. Four body weight phenotypes were measured in 1,105 $F_2$ progeny from an intercross between Landrace and Jeju native black pigs. All experimental animals were subjected to genotypic analysis using PorcineSNP60K BeadChip platform, and 39,992 autosomal SNP markers filtered by quality control criteria were used to construct genomic relationship matrix for heritability estimation. Restricted maximum likelihood estimates of heritability were obtained using both genomic- and pedigree- relationship matrix in a linear mixed model. The heritability estimates using SNP information were smaller (0.36-0.55) than those which were estimated using pedigree information (0.62-0.97). To investigate effect of common environment, such as maternal effect, on heritability estimation, we included maternal effect as an additional random effect term in the linear mixed model analysis. We detected substantial proportions of phenotypic variance components were explained by maternal effect. And the heritability estimates using both pedigree and SNP information were decreased. Therefore, heritability estimates must be interpreted cautiously when there are obvious common environmental variance components.
The aim of this study was to assess the oral health knowledge, attitude and behavior among geriatric care workers in long-term care facilities. A self-administered questionnaire was obtained from 212 geriatric care workers attending a professional education program of 2014 dementia pilot project. The questionnaire consisted of 4 parts of the training experience (2 items), knowledge (16 items), attitude (13 items), and behavior (4 items) on oral health care. Collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, independent t-test, and one-way ANOVA using SPSS Statistics ver. 20.0. The percentage of educational experience on oral care was 27.9% and most respondents answered that they have received the education about denture cleaning (98.3%) and brushing method (91.4%). The average knowledge score was $10.88{\pm}1.70$, and respondents showed high-level agreement in 8 of the 10 items in attitude questions. They revealed difficulties in providing oral care to the elderly people because of their lack of knowledge. The deficiencies of knowledge about oral care would have a decisive effect on not only oral and general health, but also quality of life of the elderly people. Therefore, it is required to develop professional oral care training programs for geriatric care workers and support systems should be legalized.

This research was conducted for the purpose of developing a high-fidelity simulation education program, applying it to clinical field and analyzing this program's effect on nursing college students in order to solve problems being caused from the gap between the adult nursing theoretical class and practical education. As the analysis method, this study developed a scenario including an algorithm for caring hyperkalemia patients, the evaluation check list, and debriefing according to the adult nursing theoretical class's learning goal and measured the high-fidelity simulation program's effect in using the non-equivalent control group pre-test and post-test design. As the results from the analysis, there secured the simulation education program's general properties and dependent variable's homogeneity in the experimental group and the control group. The nursing simulation practice program for hyperkalemia patients showed slight effect on the experimental group compared to the control group in fields such as nursing practice ability, problem solving ability, critical thinking skills, self-confidence of nursing, and knowledge. (t=-83.313, p<.001, t=-3.169, p=.003, t=-2.473, p=.017, t=-4.036, p<.001, t=-5.044, p<.001). High-Fidelity simulation programs in conjunction with an adult nursing theory classes of nursing students nursing practice ability, problem solving ability, critical thinking skills, self-confidence of nursing, and knowledge. This simulation program may be an effective educational method for nursing practice and also support improved quality of nursing education.
Objective : This study aims to review clinical studies evaluating effectiveness of Korean medicine for smoking cessation. It also aims to critically analyze study design of the studies and suggest strategies for future clinical studies on smoking cessation. Method : Only domestic databases such as RISS, KISS, DBPIA, NDSL, and OASIS were searched from August to November 2011 for clinical studies on smoking cessation. There was no limitation on study design, period, and language. The studies were qualitatively analyzed focusing on study design including participants, intervention, and outcome measurements. Results : Out of 537 studies searched, 27 studies were included in the analysis. 56% of the studies were observational studies, 33% were quasi-experimental studies, and 11% were randomized controlled studies. 44% and 32% of the studies were conducted at educational institutions and hospitals, respectively. The average number of the participants were 182, which ranged from 15 to 1,056. Most of the participants were male. Intervention used were mostly auricular acupuncture, and the most frequently used acupoints were Lung, Shinmun, Endocrine, Pharynx & Larynx, and Inner nose. The average length of treatment period was four weeks, and the treatment was provided twice per week. The outcomes were measured at the end of the treatment and only 26% of the studies conducted follow-up measurements. 26% of the studies utilized questionnaires of which validity was evaluated and only 15% used objective measurements such as exhaled Carbon monoxide and Cotinine test. Conclusion : Though many clinical studies on effectiveness of Korean medicine for smoking cessation were conducted, there are still debates on quality of evidence. Recently, guidelines have been developed for clinical trials evaluating effectiveness of smoking cessation program. Thus, in the future, clinical studies should be developed based on these guidelines and designed to improve validity and reliability.

In this Information Age, the needs for the performance evaluation is raising to increase the higher-thought ability for creativity and problem-solving, to improve the quality of the teaching-learning process. However, it is very difficult to carry out the authentic performance evaluation in our educational environment. Therefore, we design and implement the Performance Evaluation Processing System as one of the learning-teaching processes. We study the theoretical base of evaluation types and of learning-teaching methods, and inquire appropriate performance evaluation methods. Among the methods, we focus on the Report, a type of performance evaluation using the most widely in the Society. We constitute a basic form and design the evaluation system of the Report. The evaluation system consist of the teacher's module and the learner's module. Teachers make the form of report, provide it for learners and evaluate the report on teacher's module, Learners make out the report, submit it to the teacher and use it for presentation in class, on learner's module, The teacher and learner can apply this system as follows. The teacher can use the report that have been already made, or that make for themselves as a step for evaluation and they can evaluate learners by the submitted report. The learner not only can see their own result of evaluation but also can use ICT at their presentation.

Since the educational guideline on Information and Communication Technology(ICT) was announced, almost every school has taught about ICT during the discretionary classes. Although research on the computer curriculum and comparative studies on computer textbooks have been conducted, a study on the current status of the use of computer textbooks has not been carried out yet. On the basis of such needs, this study was conducted to investigate the current status of the use of computer textbooks in elementary schools(i.e. how teachers use computer textbooks in schools, and what teachers and students think about computer textbooks), and to suggest ideas to be considered in order to improve the quality of computer textbooks. The main finding of this study is that although most teachers use computer textbooks, the frequency of use is low and teachers use the textbook by revising or complementing its content. Also, most teachers respond negatively to some aspects of computer textbooks(i.e. level-based learning, reconstructional facility, systemicity, enhancement of exploring and creative ability, induction of interest, enhancement of self-directed learning, and assignments). In contrast with this result, students respond negatively only to the vocabularies used in computer textbooks. In addition, teachers showed significantly different responses according to their age and teaching experiences, and students demonstrated significantly different responses according to their gender and the frequency of the use of computer textbooks.
Recently, Korean health care industry managers are paying more attention to customer oriented service, the rationalization of business administration, and quality control of service to adjust their business to outer environment since IMF bailout program. They are focusing on the cost reduction through remodeling the size and structure of man power, viz. labor flexibility. Nurses are not free from this juncture and contingent nurses are increasing fast. This article intends to verify the actual condition of two types of contingent nurses -part-time nurses and internship nurses-and to compare their job satisfaction to provide basic resource for efficient management of nurse man power. The concrete goals of this article are; Firstly, to verify the actual condition of their employment. Secondly, to compare their job satisfaction. And Thirdly, to the relation between employment condition and job satisfaction. To accomplish these research goals, a statistical survey was executed, in which 384 questionnaires - 66 for manager nurses, 318 for contingent nurses-were given to nurses working at 66 general hospitals-which have at least 100 beds-in Seoul. Among them, 121 questionnaires-of 28 general hospitals-were returned. Then, the data coded and submitted to mean, standard deviation, T-test, variance analysis (ANOVA), correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis with SAS program. The research results of the contingent nurses are followings: 1. Two types of contingent nurses shows similar age spans: they are mostly 21 - 30 years old and unmarried. But internship nurses have high level of educational career. Part - time nurses spread at general beds, out -patient part, intensive care part, operation part, etc, but internship nurses work mostly at general beds. 2. Two groups shows difference in actual employment condition: average employment career of part -time nurses is 7.0 months but internship nurses' is 2.0 months: average duty-on days per month of part - time nurses are 23.7 days but internship nurses' are 24.8 days. But there are little difference in average working time per day: 7.7 hours for part -time nurses and 0 hours for internship nurses. 3. The average wage per month for part -time nurses is 836,026 won but for internship nurses is 557,428 won-66.7% of part-time nurses'. Both groups are enjoying little additional pay. 4. Both groups are getting job not so much through advertisement of newspaper or hospitals as through acquainted person or college. 5. Both groups show very high level of job satisfaction: 3.2195 for part -time nurses and 3.2881 for internship nurses. But they show very low satisfaction on payment level compared with other categories and two groups show meaningful difference(P<.0001). 6. The multiple regression test reveals the factors related with job satisfaction: wage level, working part(OR or ICU), age, job career, and motive of contingent job-taking('because I can take care of family duties at the same time') influence positively: motive of contingent job-taking('because I can work regularly without alternation') influences negatively.
Nowadays various public data have been serviced to the public. Through the opening of public data, the transparency and effectiveness of public policy developed by governments are increased and users can lead to the growth of industry related to public data. Since end-users of using public data are citizens, it is very important for everyone to figure out the meaning of public data using proper visualization techniques. In this work, to indicate the significance of widespread public data, we consider UN voting record as public data in which many people may be interested. In general, it has high utilization value by diplomatic and educational purposes, and is available in public. If we use proper data mining and visualization algorithms, we can get an insight regarding the voting patterns of UN members. To visualize, it is necessary to measure the voting similarity values among UN members and then a social graph is created by the similarity values. Next, using a graph layout algorithm, the social graph is rendered on the screen. If we use the existing method for visualizing the social graph, it is hard to understand the meaning of the social graph because the graph is usually dense. To improve the weak point of the existing social graph visualization, we propose Friend-Matching, Friend-Rival Matching, and Bubble Heap algorithms in this paper. We also validate that our proposed algorithms can improve the quality of visualizing social graphs displayed by the existing method. Finally, our prototype system has been released in http://datalab.kunsan.ac.kr/politiz/un/. Please, see if it is useful in the aspect of public data utilization.

This study was conducted for the purpose of providing basic data that aims to develop the clinical practice education program and improve satisfaction for clerkship by evaluating the satisfaction of students who participated in learning using role-play in the clerkship of the department of pediatric dentistry. 85 senior dental students participated in this study. The students were divided into 17 groups and randomly performed role-plays in their role. After each role-play, a questionnaire designed to evaluate students' satisfaction on interest and appropriacy and satisfaction on usefulness towards role-play were completed by 77 students. The mean score of total satisfaction was 3.38 on a 5 point Likert scale. The mean score satisfaction on interest and appropriacy was 3.99 and the mean score satisfaction on usefulness was 3.79. The satisfaction score in the role group of parents was the highest and there was a significant difference in mean scores by the role groups (p < 0.05). Students evaluated the role-play as an interesting and useful educational tool in clerkship. It is necessary to undergo further trials and complement programs to upgrade the quality of dental clerkship.
