  • 본 논문에서는 클러스터 정의시 사용하게 되는 특성으로 노드간 패스 수에 기반한 K-edge 컴포넌트의 그래픽 정의 방법과 노드를 클러스터화 하는 집합화(Aggregation) 방법을 제시하였다. 집합화된 하이퍼텍스트 분리를 통해 이전 결과를 개선할 수 있으며, 집합내의 노드간 관련성을 가시화하여 비교할 수 있다.

  • Edge contains important information to analyze the characteristics of the images. Edge detection has been a lot utilized in areas such as computer vision and image processing etc.. And sobel, prewitt, roberts are representative methods among the initially used methods. Although these conventional methods easily detect large change points of slope of brightness, optional directional edge detection abilities of conventional edge detection are not efficient. Therefore, in this paper, to complement the shortcomings of existing edge detection method, we proposed adaptive edge detection method considering direction information. through simulatioopn, we verify abilities of our method.

  • Edge detection is the first step and very important step in image nalyisi. In this paper, proposed edge detection algorithm based on informations of edge structures and it is different from other classical edge detection operators such asgradient and surface fitting algorithm. The firs, we defined characteristics of edge structures such as continuity, thinness, localization, length. The second, we defined valid edge structures and ideal edge pixel positions in $3\times3$ window based on edge characteristics of edge structures. And we proposed twelve windows for enhance dissimilarity regions based on valid edge structures and ideal edge pixel positions. In specially, proposed algorithm was shown better performance of edge detection than other operators such as gradient operator and the LoG(Laplacian of gradient) operator of zero crossings in noisy test image with $\sigma=30$.

  • A computer vision system applied to an intelligent safety vehicle has been required to be worked on a small sized real time special purposed hardware not on a general purposed computer. In addition, the system should have a high reliability even under the adverse road traffic environment. This paper presents a design and an implementation of an onboard hardware system taking into account for high speed image processing to analyze a road traffic scene. The system is mainly composed of two parts: an early processing module of FPGA and a postprocessing module of DSP. The early processing module is designed to extract several image primitives such as the intensity of a gray level image and edge attributes in a real-time Especially, the module is optimized for the Sobel edge operation. The postprocessing module of DSP utilizes the image features from the early processing module for making image understanding or image analysis of a road traffic scene. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated by an experiment of a lane-related information extraction. The experiment shows the successful results of image processing speed of twenty-five frames of 320$\times$240 pixels per second.

  • Edge detection is an important process in low level image processing. But many proposed methods for edge detection are not very robust to the image noise and are not flexible for different images. To solve the both problems, an algorithm is proposed which eliminate the noise by mean shift algorithm in advance, and then adaptively determine the double thresholds based on gradient histogram and minimum interclass variance, With this algorithm, it can fade out almost all the sensitive noise and calculate the both thresholds for different images without necessity to setup any parameter artificially, and choose edge pixels by fuzzy algorithm.

  • It is useful to simulate the human visual function for the purpose of image-processing. In this study, the hardware of the spatial filter with the sensitivity of lateral inhibition is realized by the combination of optical parts with electronic circuits. The diffused film with the characteristics of Gaussian type is prepared as a spatial filter. An object's image is convoluted with the spatial filter. From the difference of the convoluted images, the zero-cross position is detected at video rate. The edge of object is extracted in real-time by the use of this equipment. The resolution of edge changes with the value of the standard deviation of diffused film. In addition, it is possible to extract a directional edge selectively when the spatial filter with directional selectivity is used instead of Gaussian type of spatial filter.

A numerical study on micro leakage behaviors at cavity edge during photo reaction injection molding (광반응사출성형 시 캐비티 엣지에서 발생하는 미세누출현상에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • Despite technological advance, there have been several troubles in photo reaction injection molding (photo RIM) to produce ultra thin light guide panels (LGPs). In this study, micro leakage problem at cavity edge during photo RIM was investigated numerically. In order to obtain optimal processing conditions, we regulated inlet pressure of injected resin at the cavity edge and figured out micro leakage behaviors. At low inlet pressure (less than 100 Pa), though the micro leakage problem was not occurred, another problem, short shot due to not enough driving force, was appeared More than 1,000 Pa of the inlet pressure, injected resin was rapidly leaked through the micro gap at the cavity edge. Finally, we obtained optimal inlet pressure around 600 ~ 1,000 Pa. At this region, injected resin fully filled the cavity without micro leakage behavior. Based on the present study, further comparative investigations with experimental photo RIM should be performed to find optimal processing conditions for produce ultra thin LGPs.

Task Scheduling and Resource Management Strategy for Edge Cloud Computing Using Improved Genetic Algorithm

  • To address the problems of large system overhead and low timeliness when dealing with task scheduling in mobile edge cloud computing, a task scheduling and resource management strategy for edge cloud computing based on an improved genetic algorithm was proposed. First, a user task scheduling system model based on edge cloud computing was constructed using the Shannon theorem, including calculation, communication, and network models. In addition, a multi-objective optimization model, including delay and energy consumption, was constructed to minimize the sum of two weights. Finally, the selection, crossover, and mutation operations of the genetic algorithm were improved using the best reservation selection algorithm and normal distribution crossover operator. Furthermore, an improved legacy algorithm was selected to deal with the multi-objective problem and acquire the optimal solution, that is, the best computing task scheduling scheme. The experimental analysis of the proposed strategy based on the MATLAB simulation platform shows that its energy loss does not exceed 50 J, and the time delay is 23.2 ms, which are better than those of other comparison strategies.

  • As the interest in the 4th industrial revolution and metaverse increases, metaverse with multi edge structure is proposed and noted. Metaverse is a structure that can create digital doctor-like system through a large amount of image processing and data transmission in a multi edge system. Since metaverse application requires calculating performance, which can reconstruct 3-D space, edge hardware's insufficient calculating performance has been a problem. To provide streamable AI software in runtime, image processing, and data transmission, which is edge's loads, needs to be lightweight. Also lightweight at the edge leads to power consumption reduction of the entire metaverse application system. In this paper, we propose collaborative edge-cloud image processing with remote image processing method and Region of Interest (ROI) to overcome edge's power performance and build streamable and runtime executable AI software. The proposed structure was implemented using a PC and an embedded board, and the reduction of time, power, and network communications were verified.

  • Image processing operations like smoothing and edge detection, and many more are very widely used in areas like Computer Vision. We classify the image processing domain as seven branches-image acquirement and output, image coding and compression, image enhancement and restoration, image transformation, image segmentation, image description, and image recognition and description. We implemented algorithms of gaussian smoothing, laplace sharpening, image contrast effect, image black and white effect, image fog effect, image bright and dark effect, image median filter, and canny edge detection. Such experimental results show the figures respectively.
