Let G be a graph with vertex set V(G) and edge set E(G), and let g, f be two nonnegative integer-valued functions defined on V(G) such that $g(x)\;{\leq}\;f(x)$ for every vertex x of V(G). We use $d_G(x)$ to denote the degree of a vertex x of G. A (g, f)-factor of G is a spanning subgraph F of G such that $g(x)\;{\leq}\;d_F(x)\;{\leq}\;f(x)$ for every vertex x of V(F). In particular, G is called a (g, f)-graph if G itself is a (g, f)-factor. A (g, f)-factorization of G is a partition of E(G) into edge-disjoint (g, f)-factors. Let F = {$F_1$, $F_2$, ..., $F_m$} be a factorization of G and H be a subgraph of G with mr edges. If $F_i$, $1\;{\leq}\;i\;{\leq}\;m$, has exactly r edges in common with H, we say that F is r-orthogonal to H. If for any partition {$A_1$, $A_2$, ..., $A_m$} of E(H) with $|A_i|=r$ there is a (g, f)-factorization F = {$F_1$, $F_2$, ..., $F_m$} of G such that $A_i\;{\subseteq}E(F_i)$, $1\;{\leq}\;i\;{\leq}\;m$, then we say that G has (g, f)-factorizations randomly r-orthogonal to H. In this paper it is proved that every (0, mf - (m - 1)r)-graph has (0, f)-factorizations randomly r-orthogonal to any given subgraph with mr edges if $f(x)\;{\geq}\;3r\;-\;1$ for any $x\;{\in}\;V(G)$.
In the optic,11 grade LiF crystal, the electron traps corresponding to the thermoluminescence(abbreviated to TL) glow peak develop as irradiation dose is increased. Originally the electron trap of the crystal has two levels but as the dose reaches to the order of 10$^4$rontgen, it attains five levels as observed in the TL glow curves. The five trap depths are determined from the glow peak temperatures for two different heating rates, $\theta$=6.6$^{\circ}C$/sec and 3.4$^{\circ}C$/sec. The electron trap depths have the following values E$_1$=0.79 eV, E$_2$=0.93 eV, E$_3$=1.02 eV, E$_4$=1.35 eV, E$_{5}$=1.69eV. The special feature of thermoluminescence of optical grade LiF is that the traps, except E$_1$and E$_2$corresponding to 12$0^{\circ}C$ glow peak and 15$0^{\circ}C$ glow peak for $\theta$=6.6$^{\circ}C$/sec, have severe thermal instability, namely E$_3$, E$_4$and E$_{5}$ levels disappear during bleaching process. These defects in the optical grade LiF crystal seem annealed out during the course of TL measurement. The fresh or long time unused LiF(Mg) crystal shows only two glow peaks at 17$0^{\circ}C$ and 23$0^{\circ}C$ for $\theta$=6.6$^{\circ}C$/sec, but upon sensitization with r-ray irradiation, it converts to the six glow peak state. The four electron traps, E$_1$, E$_2$, E$_3$, and E$_{6}$ created by r-ray irradiation and corresponding to the glow peaks at T=10$0^{\circ}C$ 13$0^{\circ}C$, 15$0^{\circ}C$ and 29$0^{\circ}C$ are stable and not easily annealed out thermally, The sensitization essentially required to LiF(Mg) dosimeter is to give the crystal the stable six levels in the electron trap. In optical grade LiF, the plot between logarithm of total TL output versus logarithm of r-ray dose gives more supra-linear feature than that of LiF(Mg). However, if one takes the height of 12$0^{\circ}C$ glow peak(S=6.6$^{\circ}C$/sec), instead of the total TL output, the curve becomes close to that of LiF(Mg).
Let R be an associative ring with identity, M a t.u.p. monoid with only one unit and ${\omega}:M{\rightarrow}End(R)$ a monoid homomorphism. Let R be a reversible, M-compatible ring and ${\alpha}=a_1g_1+{\cdots}+a_ng_n$ a non-zero element in skew monoid ring $R{\ast}M$. It is proved that if there exists a non-zero element ${\beta}=b_1h_1+{\cdots}+b_mh_m$ in $R{\ast}M$ with ${\alpha}{\beta}=c$ is a constant, then there exist $1{\leq}i_0{\leq}n$, $1{\leq}j_0{\leq}m$ such that $g_{i_0}=e=h_{j_0}$ and $a_{i_0}b_{j_0}=c$ and there exist elements a, $0{\neq}r$ in R with ${\alpha}r=ca$. As a consequence, it is proved that ${\alpha}{\in}R*M$ is unit if and only if there exists $1{\leq}i_0{\leq}n$ such that $g_{i_0}=e$, $a_{i_0}$ is unit and aj is nilpotent for each $j{\neq}i_0$, where R is a reversible or right duo ring. Furthermore, we determine the relation between clean and nil clean elements of R and those elements in skew monoid ring $R{\ast}M$, where R is a reversible or right duo ring.
Quantitative assessment of edge blunting of saw-teeth was carried out by TALYSURF. 1. Using the following equation, the real shape of a saw-tooth can be traced on the graph of TALYSURF. ${\frac{{\Delta}h}{h}}={\frac{V{\Delta}_x}{V_x}}$ {${\Delta}h$: vertical distance of stylus h: vertical distance in chart $V{\Delta}_x$: Velocity of stylus $V_x$: velocity of chart} 2. As shown on Fig 2, the error from stylus itself can be calculated by following equation. i) 13.8${\mu}{\leqq}$x<20.4${\mu}$ y=-0.2246x+4.59${\mu}$ ii) 0${\leqq}$x<13.8${\mu}$ y=${\sqrt{(-18{\mu})^2-x^2}}-1.42x+32.7{\mu}}$ 3. The relationship between profile of saw-tooth and error from stylus itself can be calculated by following equation. $E(%)=\frac{f(r){\times}{\frac{4}{18{\mu}}}}{f(R){\times}{\frac{R}{18.5{\mu}}}-f(r){\times}{\frac{r}{18{\mu}}}}{\times}100$ {E(%)${\frac{error\;of\;stylus}{dullness\;of\;saw\;tooth}}{\times}100$ r: radius of stylus tip R: radius of tip which is drawn in graph of talysurf f(r) : error of stylus f(R) : dullness of tip which is drawn in graph of talysurf} 4. The graph of maximum error and profile of saw-tooth was parabola.
Let R be a ring with identity 1, I(R) be the set of all idempotents in R and G be the group of all units of R. In this paper, we show that for any semiperfect ring R in which 2 = 1+1 is a unit, I(R) is closed under multiplication if and only if R is a direct sum of local rings if and only if the set of all minimal idempotents in R is closed under multiplication and eGe is contained in the group of units of eRe. In particular, for a left Artinian ring in which 2 is a unit, R is a direct sum of local rings if and only if the set of all minimal idempotents in R is closed under multiplication.
Let $(\Omega, F, P)$ be a probability space with F a $\sigma$-algebra of subsets of the measure space $\Omega$ and P a probability measures on $\Omega$. Suppose $a > 0$ and let $(F_t)_{t \in [0,a]}$ be an increasing family of sub-$\sigma$- algebras of F. If $r > 0$, let $J = [-r, 0]$ and $C(J, R^n)$ the Banach space of all continuous paths $\gamma : J \to R^n$ with the sup-norm $\Vert \gamma \Vert_C = sup_{s \in J} $\mid$\gamma(x)$\mid$$ where $$\mid$\cdot$\mid$$ denotes the Euclidean norm on $R^n$. Let E and F be separable real Banach spaces and L(E,F) be the Banach space of all continuous linear maps $T : E \to F$ with the norm $\Vert T \Vert = sup {$\mid$T(x)$\mid$_F : x \in E, $\mid$x$\mid$_E \leq 1}$.

Background: Genetic factors have been shown to play an important role in the development of cancers. However, individual studies may fail to completely demonstrate complicated genetic relationships because of small sample size. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the association of E-selectin Ser128Arg (S128R) with cancer risk. Materials and Methods: A literature search in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Science Direct, SpringerLink, EBSCO, Wanfang, and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure databases was carried out to identify studies of the association between E-selectin S128R polymorphism and cancer risk. The odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (95%CIs) were used to assess the strength of association. Results: A total of eight studies involving 1,675 cancer cases and 2,285 controls were included in the meta-analysis. In overall populations, S128R polymorphism seemed to be associated with cancer risk (Arg allele vs Ser allele: OR=1.65, 95%CI =1.33-2.04, p<0.01; Arg/Arg+Arg/Ser vs Ser/Ser: OR=1.87, 95%CI =1.48-2.36, p<0.01; Arg/Ser vs Ser/Ser: OR=1.80, 95%CI =1.51-2.14, p<0.01). Similarly, subgroup analysis by ethnicity and source of control also revealed that this polymorphism was related to cancer risk. Conclusions: Our meta-analysis revealed that there was association between the E-selectin S128R polymorphism and the risk of cancer. Further large and well-designed studies are needed to confirm this association.

This paper describes a miniaturezed metamaterial BT chip antenna for mobile devices. The size of the proposed antenna is $3.0\;mm(W){\times}2.0\;mm(L){\times}1.2\;mm(H)$. And it is fabricated by chip type. The zeroth-order resonant properties are analyzed by magnitude and phase distributions of the surface current using surface current scanning system. The antenna offers omni-directional radiation patterns and measured 3D average gain is over - 1.7 dBi.
Purpose: Erythropoietin (EPO) has neuroprotective effects in many animal models of brain injury, including hypoxic-ischemic (HI) encephalopathy, trauma, and excitotoxicity. Current studies have demonstrated the neuroprotective effects of EPO, but limited data are available for the neonatal periods. Here in we investigated whether recombinant human EPO (rHuEPO) can protect the developing rat brain from HI injury via modulation of NMDA receptors. Methods: In an in vitro model, embryonic cortical neuronal cell cultures from Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats at 19-days gestation were established. The cultured cells were divided into five groups: normoxia (N), hypoxia (H), and 1, 10, and 100 IU/mL rHuEPO-treated (H+E1, H+ E10, and H+E100) groups. To estimate cell viability and growth, a 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was done. In an in vivo model, left carotid artery ligation was performed on 7-day-old SD rat pups. The animals were divided into six groups; normoxia control (NC), normoxia Sham-operated (NS), hypoxia-ischemia only (H), hypoxia-ischemia+vehicle (HV), hypoxia-ischemia+rHuEPO before a HI injury (HE-B), and hypoxia-ischemia+rHuEPO after a HI injury (HE-A). The morphologic changes following brain injuries were noted using hematoxylin and eosin (H/E) staining. Real-time PCR using primers of subunits of NMDA receptors (NR1, NR2A, NR2B, NR2C and NR2D) mRNA were performed. Results: Cell viability in the H group was decreased to less than 60% of that in the N group. In the H+E1 and H+E10 groups, cell viability was increased to >80% of the N group, but cell viability in the H+E100 group did not recover. The percentage of the left hemisphere area compared the to the right hemisphere area were 98.9% in the NC group, 99.1% in the NS group, 57.1% in the H group, 57.0% in the HV group, 87.6% in the HE-B group, and 91.6% in the HE-A group. Real-time PCR analysis of the expressions of subunits of NMDA receptors mRNAs in the in vitro and in vivo neonatal HI brain injuries generally revealed that the expression in the H group was decreased compared to the N group and the expressions in the rHuEPO-treated groups was increased compared to the H group. Conclusion: rHuEPO has neuroprotective property in perinatal HI brain injury via modulation of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors.
