An Empirical Study on the Determinants of e-Trust - Focused on the Domestic Trade Portal Site - (e-신뢰(e-Trust)의 결정요인에 관한 연구 -국내 무역포털사이트를 중심으로-)

  • The trade portal site is one of the innovative skills which makes it possible for trade companies to manage international trade activities more efficiently by using the newest information technology. Especially, trade portal site can be considerable help to small and medium-sized enterprises which have much difficulties in finding overseas buyers due to the lack of international marketing capabilities. This study attempts to present a comprehensive model about the determinants of e-Trust in domestic trade portal site and to suggest practical strategies for e-Trade. Therefore, a theoretical framework was presented by the literature review, and a empirical study was carried out through a questionnaire survey to those who have had experiences of visiting trade portal site. The empirical analysis had the following results. First, it reveals that reputation, web-site quality, transaction efficiency of the trade portal site have influence upon e-Trust dimension. On the other hand, perceived risk did not have significant relationship with e-Trust. Second, e-Trust had significant impact on willingness to depend on the trade portal site. And also, e-Trust had positive influence on performance of using which is measured by sales increase, information sharing, and synergy effect.

  • This paper describes a theoretical model for investigating the relationship commitment of trade portal site 6C's. This research is the first to empirical test the causal relationships in Trade portal site. The relationship commitment for e-Trade portal site are tested here using data from 195 samples. Research methodology used in this study was mainly survey and questionnaire. Structural equation model is used in the hypotheses test. the results support all hypotheses involving hypothesis 1 and 6. The major finding of this paper would be summarized as followed: 1) Perceived relationship commitment of e-Trade site 6C's is positively related to contents, community, communication, customization in e-trade activity level and activity range of trade practical 2) Perceived commerce of electronic trade site is negatively related to the relationship commitment of trade companies. 3) Perceived e-trade site in electronic trade connection is positively related to the re-activity intention. In examining the relationships commitment of the factors, e-trade potal 6C's show in significantly by Contents, Community, Communication, Customization, Re-activity intention, but that show in not significantly by Commerce factor.

  • Considering rapid development of Internet Portal Site Contents in Korea, it is an important issue to analyze consumers' satisfaction and e-loyalty. This research develops, and empirically test a model for explaining/predicting the satisfaction and e-loyalty with internet-based Electronic Trade Site. This paper describes a theoretical model for investigating the Satisfaction and e-Loyalty of the Electronic Trade Site. This study investigates the concept of the satisfaction, e-loyalty in Electronic Trade Site and its determinants, and tries to establish e-loyalty analyzing model. The model of the satisfaction, e-loyalty electronic trade site is tested here using data from 158 samples. Based on the research model, a comprehensive set of hypotheses is formulated and a methodology for testing them is outlined. some of the hypotheses are tested empirically to demonstrate the applicability of the theoretical model. In examining the relationships of the determinants factors, service quality satisfaction show in significantly by Reliability, Information Provided, Trustworthiness, Convenience, International of contents but that show in not significantly by Interaction. In addition, Electronic Trade site retention shows indirect effect between customer satisfaction and referral. Although our research can not show the determinants of e-loyalty in the electronic trade site the empirical result give both theoretical and managerial implication for managing the consumers' satisfaction and e-loyalty in electronic trade site.

  • Considering rapid development of Electronic Trade in Korea, it is an important issue to analyze consumers' satisfaction and e-loyalty. The purpose of this study is to find the affecting factors on the determinants and utilizable intention of electronic trade trustworthness and e-loyalty. In the literature review, it was made to compare and analyze the precedent papers about electronic trade trustworthness theory, Keller and Aaker(1992), Yun, Seong-jun's(2000) model of the trustworthness. This study investigates the concept of the satisfaction, e-loyalty in electronic trade site and its determinants, and tries to establish e-loyalty analyzing model. The model of the satisfaction, e-loyalty electronic trade site is tested here using data from 106 samples. The major finding of this paper would be summarized as followed : And then it was used the empirical research method to test hypotheses which was established based on the precedent studies : 1) electronic trade factors are positively related to the trustworthness on the electronic trade practical, not being trustworthness of the functionality on electronic trade practical in international trade company. 2) tr stworthness of electronic trade practical is positively related to the e-loyalty in international trade companies.

  • This study is to approach e-Trade issues and how to settle the dispute for e-Trade according to on-line Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process. Most on-line systems operate on a limited access basis. The increasing use of the internet to do business brings to light at least important concerns to persons who engage in commerce on-line, or e-Trade. There is some concern about the limits of current internet technology to guarantee the security of e-Trade. The new technology has transformed society and is defining new years of doing business. This revolution in technology has even changed the nature of many of the goods and services that are the subjects of e-Trade. There is also concern about the limits of the legal framework to guarantee the enforcement of e-Trade. A significant issue is how the law should be adapted to reflect business practices regarding such cyberspace agreements as Web site click-on agreements, e-data interchange, and on-line sales. The principal benefits of on-line ADR should typically be faster and less expensive than traditional conciliation arbitration. The on-line ADR system has the several significances, decreasing inappropriate cost as time and burden of ADR, providing an approachable measure of relief and more efficient tool for the settle of dispute. Therefore, on-line ADR could be used as an adjunct resolution process in large class actions where each single claim is small, but varies somewhat, thus requiring some individual fact determination.

  • Trade portal site is one of the tools which make it possible for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) to manage international trade activities more efficiently by using the newest information and telecommunication technology. So Korean SMEs should utilize trade portal sites more actively to promote global competitive power. Based on the theory of service quality and existing researches related to using information technology, this paper analyzed the primary factors which affect user's utilization satisfaction in using trade portal sites. According to the results of the empirical study on actual users of the representative trade portal sites by multiple regression analysis, the primary factors, such as service quality, government policy and cost factor have affected user's utilization satisfaction in using trade portal sites. And user's utilization satisfaction have positive effect on continuous using intention. These research results will provide many useful insights to trade portal site managers, e-trade system developers and government policy makers.

  • Trade Portal Site(TPS) is one of the essential tools which can make it possible for small and medium enterprises(SMEs) to perform international trade activity more efficiently using newest information and communication technology including the Internet. Therefore, Korean SMEs need to utilize TPS more actively to enhance their export competitiveness. In this context, this article analyzes the determinants of export performances of Korean SMEs in utilizing the service of TPS based on the Service Quality Model. As a result of an empirical research by using regressive analysis, various measures of service reliability such as reliability, empathy, and tangibilities have positive effects on SMEs export performance in utilizing TPS. These results provides many useful implications to the TPS managers, e-trade related government agency, along with managers of SMEs using TPS.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of electronic trade's web site usability on the user satisfaction and customer royalty. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, a research model was established and obtained the results as follows, First, navigation, information structure characteristic, communication has statistically significant effect on user satisfaction. It means users think more important the convenience, approachableness than web site design, visually menu to the information. Also, it represent communication with user is important factor to use web site. Second, user satisfaction has significant influence on customer royalty. This result signifies the user satisfaction of e-trade site is enhanced by support for convenience, reliability, smoothly communication and eventually affect thr revisiting intention of web site

  • Trade Portal Site(TPS) is one of the innovative skills which makes it possible for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) to manage international trade activities more efficiently by using the newest information and telecommunication technology. Based on performance and an existing research related to using information technology, this research analyzed the user's degree of utilization of TPSs which moderates effects between SMEs characteristics and export performance of SMEs. According to the results of the empirical study on actual data of 194 sample firms by using moderated regression analysis, there are significant only organizational characteristics among determinants(such as organizational characteristics, export characteristics) as the degree of utilization of TPSs. These research results provide many useful insights to the CEOs of SMEs using the services of TPSs, e-Trade system developers, and government policy makers. First, CEOs and managers of SMEs should have thorough understanding of the importance of the new information technology and e-Trade and positively adopt new e-Trade solutions and systems to their export processes to enhance global competitiveness. Second, TPS managers and e-Trade systems developers must concentrate on improving the user's degree of utilization of TPSs. Finally, the government agency should develop the various e-Trade promotion policies to support the efforts of SMEs organizational characteristics and TPS to increase the degree of utilization of TPS, which have positive effects on the export performance of SMEs.
