의류 제품특성, 상황특성이 소비자의 인티넷 탐색 행동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Product and Situation on Internet Browsing Behavior for Fashion Products)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of product variables(i.e., fashionability, brand fame) and situational variables(i.e., time constraint, usage occasion) on the internet browsing behavior (i.e., prepurchase search; ongoing search for products, stores, fashion trends, promotions, and post-purchasing information) for fashion products. This study developed hypothetical scenarios based on the factorial design of the two independent variables for the survey with a questionnaire. All items in the questionnaire were measured on a six-point scale. By convenience sampling and on-line survey, a total of 209 usable responses were used for further analyses. The results show as follows; firstly, respondents more intensively browse for information search on products, stores and fashion trends when the style of browsing products is trendy. Secondly, whether the fashion products have a famous brand name or not has a significant influence on browsing behavior for stores and fashion trends information search. Thirdly, time constraint is found to influence significantly on respondents' browsing for promotions information search. Lastly, occasion for product worn shows a significant influence on browsing behavior for stores and fashion trends information search. The managerial implications are provided based on findings.

의류제품 통관데이터 분석을 통한 해외직접구매 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Cross-Border E-Commerce Through an Analysis of Clothing Products Customs Clearance Data)

  • This study attempted to examine the characteristics of fashion cross-border e-commerce(CBEC) by analyzing about 35.7 million cases of customs clearance data received from the Korea Customs Service. The demographic characteristics of consumers and the features of products purchased from 2019 to 2021 were explored. Next, the association rules between products, brands, and websites were analyzed by men and women in their 20s to 50s. The results are as follows. First, women purchased more clothing products than men, and overall, consumers tended to purchase products at low prices every year. Second, the most commonly purchased products were T-shirts, bags, and other shoes. In the list clearance, the purchase frequency of international open markets increased for three years; in general clearance, the proportion of luxury brands was high every year. Finally, in the list clearance, the relationships between bags, other shoes, pants, and overseas open markets were significant, while the relationships between wallets, bags, and luxury brands were significant in general clearance. Based on this study, domestic companies participating in or competing against the CBEC market can develop appropriate strategies for merchandising and sourcing clothing products.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of physical properties and grain line of fabrics on the drape properties of the flare skirt. Horizontal section overlap map was obtained by three dimensional Moire Topography, It was concluded drapability of the skirt obtained by the map can be used to determine the ease of the skirt. Grain line such as bias and lengthwise direction showed the difference of quality of the drape at the hem line; skirt made by bias direction showed evenly distributed flare and effective for the aesthetic point view. No difference was observed between cotton and polyester fabrics probably due to the similar characteristics of the fabrics.

  • 본 논문에서는 컴퓨팅 집약적인 현대와 미래 사회를 대비하기 위한 컴퓨터 교육의 목표를 계산적 사고 및 이를 바탕으로 한 협력적 문제 해결 능력의 향상으로 보고 이를 실현하기 위한 컴퓨터 교육의 전망과 과제를 제시하였다. 계산적 사고 향상을 위한 컴퓨터 교육은 컴퓨터과학을 전공하는 학습자 뿐 아니라 모든 학습자를 대상으로 이루어져야 하며 이를 위해 초 중등학교 컴퓨터 교육과정의 체계적인 개선 및 계산적 사고를 바탕으로 한 간학문적 융합 학습 활동의 설계 및 평가 전략의 개발이 요구된다. 또한 여학생, 특수교육대상 학생과 같은 정보 소외 계층 학습자들의 컴퓨터과학에 대한 관심과 참여를 조장하고 협력적 문제 해결 활동을 지원하기 위한 학습 환경을 제시하여야 한다. 따라서 이러한 과제를 해결하기 위한 새로운 접근으로 예술과 컴퓨터과학의 융합 교육 활동인 E-Textiles 프로젝트의 특성과 연구 동향, 국내 적용 방안을 제시하였다.

Ubiquitous Based Learning (UBL) 을 이용한 패션과 소비자 행동 수업에 관한 고찰 (The Effects of Ubiquitous Based Learning on the fashion and consumer behavior course)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of UBL (Ubiquitous basedlearning) on fashion and consumer behavior course. Thirty-one undergraduate university students completed a 15-week capstone course in a clothing and textiles department. About sixteen percent students were majoring in liberal arts and sixty-three percent of the participants were majoring in the clothing and textiles. Mainly, the participants were junior and senior undergraduate students. The participants demonstrated positive attitude toward the UBL (Ubiquitous based-learning) on fashion and consumer behavior course. The results showed that seventy-seven percent of the participants have more opportunities to handle multi-media resources using social network and social media. Eighty percent of the participants have been developed of communication skills. Seventy-one percent of the participants were helped to learn foreign language skills. Overall, most of the participants were satisfied that their presentation skill was improved in class and they had willing to recommend the class to other students for the future.

East and West Meet in Africa: Effects on Clothing and Textile Businesses in Kenya's Liberalized Economy

  • Liberalization may be described as the opening up of the economy to the outside world by relaxing government trade and economic policy restrictions to allow imports. In Kenya, this took place in the early 1990s and it had negative and positive effects on businesses manufacturing and retailing clothing and textiles. This case study narrates what has happened over the last 20 years to businesses in Nairobi, Kenya dealing in clothing and textiles. Some of the original businesses have closed down and been replaced by new ones. More small scale Kenyan businesses have been started dealing in clothing imports from the East and West selling both new and second hand clothes. There has been increased employment in the small scale clothing and textiles sector in garment making and retailing. All in all, liberalization has forced large and medium scale textile manufacture to change strategy so that they target selling to the export market more than to the local market.

  • The increase use of smartphones has paved the way for quick dissemination of online information. This has a huge influence on consumers' purchase decision making and the formation of a company's image. As such, this study focuses on product review from mobile beauty applications(apps); in particular, the perceived information authenticity. The purpose is as follows. First, to examine if there is any difference in perceived information authenticity based on the types of product review. Second, to analyze how perceived information authenticity influences brand attitude, purchase intention, and electronic word of mouth(e-WOM) intention. The study targets consumers in their 20s and 30s who have experience buying a product via a mobile beauty app. Three hundred responses are analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results reveal that, first of all, consumers derive higher perceived information authenticity from a multi-facet review rather than a double-facet review. Second, among the traits of perceived information authenticity, only a brand's perceived reliability has a significant influence on brand attitude. Third, this brand attitude has a positive influence on purchase intention and e-WOM intention. In conclusion, these findings can serve as an important discussion point for companies developing a mobile beauty app, drawing attention to perceived information authenticity, based on the types of product review.

가상현실 점포의 특성에 관한 연구 -현대백화점 VR 스토어와 eBay VR 백화점 사례를 중심으로- (A Research on the Characteristics of Virtual Reality Stores -Focused on Hyundai VR Store and eBay VR Department Store-)

  • This study investigates the characteristics of VR stores that emerged as new fashion communication media. Two case studies on Hyundai and eBay VR Department stores were conducted along with a discussion of the function and meaning of the fashion VR store. The results showed that both stores provide novel shopping experiences; however, the two were differentiated in terms of production method and technology implementation level. Functional aspects such as providing shopping efficiency and purchasing service was insufficient in both stores. Instead, they were complementing by means of product rotation, recommendation system, voice guidance, or linkage with an online shopping mall. In experiential aspects, both stores provided a strong sense of immersion. Hyundai VR store enhanced immersion with a high resolution image of a real offline store; however, it lacked in the ability to provide multisensory stimulation such as kinetic sense or auditory stimulation. The eBay VR Department store intensified the immersion experience by providing auditory stimulation as well as visual stimulation that enhanced the speed and distance sense through the utilization of animation. However, the extent of experience was limited in terms of agency and transformation because of the low interactivity found in both store systems.

디지털 텍스타일 프린팅의 초현실주의적 표현 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Surrealist Expressions Technique of Digital Textile Printing)

  • With the development of digital technology, clothes of unique textiles using the digital printing techniques have appeared as a creative trend in textile design. The development of digital textile printing technology has allowed the fashion industry to utilize it as an expressive method of a surrealist trend in current fashion designs, and so it is necessary to understand and study this phenomenon. The present study is an attempt to understand this modern fashion phenomena from an artistic perspective by looking at textile designs that applied actual images to textiles, so that this trend in fashion design can be better understood. In this context, this study aims to examine characteristics and expressive techniques of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme associated with digital textile printing by using actual images among surrealist expressions, and to investigate creative expressions of textile design freely expressing the visual boundary between reality and surrealism with the development of digital technology. For research methods, we reviewed technical texts and previous studies related to our research topic for theoretical exploration and investigated the Internet data and used them for basic data. In the case study, we came up with the characteristics and meanings by classifying fashion design cases using digital textile printing techniques according to expressive techniques of surrealist d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme. Details of this study are as follows: First, it investigates the definition and expressive characteristics of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme of the surrealist expression for its theoretical understanding. Second, it comes up with the characteristics by analyzing the digital textile cases from the perspective of d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme. Third, it deduces the expressive methods and characteristics of digital textile printing from a the perspective of surrealist d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme based on the resulting characteristics. The conclusions show that d$\acute{e}$paysement, automatisme, which consists of improvisation and coincidence, maximized the mysterious images of derealisation and mysterious primitive images. These things emphasized the characteristics of maximization of images, derealisation, and rationalization of irrationalism.

여군 전투복 내 관절 부위 보호 패드 개발을 위한 설계 변인 조합에 따른 물성 평가 (Evaluation of Physical Properties of Material Combination for Fabricating Protection Pads for Women's Army Combat Uniforms )

  • In this study, the properties of various material combinations were evaluated and an ideal material for fabricating protection pads for women's army combat uniforms was determined. Eight specimens were used for the evaluation: two types of materials, namely thermoplastic polyurethane for 3D printing, T and ethylene-vinyl acetate, E; two infill densities, namely 10%, 10 and 30%, 30; two types of pad designs, i.e., without holes, A and with holes, B; 2×2×2=8 and control E. The tensile strength, flexural strength, impact absorption, and weight of these specimens were evaluated. Results revealed that E was the most flexible material; however, its tensile strength and impact absorption were very low. Protection pads made from T (T-10A, T-10B, T-30A, and T-30B) had excellent tensile strength and impact absorption; however, they had low performance in ease of movement. Alternatively, protection pad with holes and an infill density of 30% produced using a combination of T and E had a high initial tensile modulus and exhibited excellent impact absorption. Moreover, it was flexible and light, which satisfies the standards and conditions required by protection pads. However, if T-E-10A and T-E-30B exhibited low impact absorption, as required, they can be regarded as appropriate materials for protection pads.
