Design and Implementation of Educational Content Authoring Tool for Smart Devices (스마트 디바이스를 위한 교육용 콘텐츠 저작 도구 설계 및 구현)

  • Teachers, who are the subject of on-site training, cannot create education content easily reflecting their experience for themselves, and also cannot distribute the content to leaners. Even though the content is distributed, there are limited in available devices as well as representable content features. So, an applicable authoring tool is needed at the user level. In this paper, we propose an authoring tool by which users and teachers can make education content easier based on WYSIWYG interface, and can distribute that. The proposed authoring tool supports various media education content of XML format so that viewers on various smart devices can see the content regardless of operating systems. And not only we conduct survey of users to evaluate convenience and expression of proposed authoring tool, but also we check whether the content can be equally visualized on various smart devices.

Analytical Psychological Interpretation of the Book of Revelation Focused on Main Visions (요한 계시록의 분석심리학적 해석 : 주요 환상을 중심으로)

  • The Testament is 'the repository of the psyche' which can understand the images revealed from human life, mind, and numinous experiences. When the Scripture is psychologically interpreted, not only does it offer an abundance in biblical exegesis, but is also incredibly valuable in understanding the actual dimensions of life. This study examined the meaning of main visions in the Book of Revelation from the perspective of analytical psychology. The core contents of these visions are 1) the image of Christ represented as One like the Son of Man and Apocalyptic lamb, 2) Sun and Moon Woman and Dragon, 3) Whore Babylon and Bride New Jerusalem, 4) Hieros Gamos and Descending New Jerusalem. Such archetypal images lead to become conscious of an individual, and at the same time the visions of Revelation as a drama of archetype present the transion of civilization, as ultimately penetrating the history of the time period. This article contemplated on the characteristics of the archetypal image emerging in the visions and categorized them into the father archetype, mother archetype, or anima archetype. The ultimate purpose of all the visions can be understood as the ascent, conjunction and descent. This will mean to become conscious of human and incarnation of God, i.e. the individuation process. In our time suffering from masculine one-sidedness, the vision of new Jerusalem presents how the feminine can redeem an individual and this world.

  • In this study, we selected supplementary vegetable resources to develpe nutritious supplementary model of korean formula for infants and children, purchased and analyzed it to use with a model. We also referred to an old book about Korean vegetable resources and searched a form of vegetable resources. There are a lot of vegetable resources of various kinds which lied scattered in mountains and fields of our country. As for these, a beyond compare menstruation activity component is becoming clear with a lot of things. It is thought that depth search and study of these vegetable resources and practical application to a infant and child supplemen is desirable. Therefore, we choosed vegetable resources ; a Capsella brusapastoris, a Codonopsis lanceolata, Dandelion, a wild plant, a Tractylis ovata(dried), a Tractylis ovata(native), a Pine plant, a burdock, a JanDae, a Plantain, a HollpDae, which gathered in our country, and we analyzied priximate aomposition of sample (moisture, ash, total carbohydrate, crude fat, crude protein, dietary fiber) and micronutrient contents of sample (calcium, Iron, flavonoids, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E).

Botany: A Modern Natural Science Book written by Mathematician Sang-Seol Lee (수학자 이상설이 소개한 근대자연과학: <식물학(植物學)>)

  • This paper deals with contents that Sang-Seol Lee contributed to the natural science in the 19th century Korea. Prof. Sung-Rae Park, the science historian, called Sang-Seol Lee Father of the Modern Mathematics education of Korea. Sang-Seol Lee wrote a manuscript Botany with a brush in late 19th century. Botany was transcribed from Science Primers: Botany (written by J. D. Hooker), which is translated into Chinese by Joseph Edkins in 1886. The existence of Sang-Seol Lee's book Botany was not known to Korean scientists before. In this paper, we study the contents of Botany and its original text. Also we analyze people's level of understanding Western sciences, especially botany at that time. In addition, we study authors of 16 Primers jar Western Knowledge. We study the contribution of mathematician Sang-Seol Lee to science education in the 19th century Korea.

A Translation Study on the First Volume of "Uihakdokseogi (醫學讀書記)"(I) ("의학독서기(醫學讀書記).권상(卷上)"에 대(對)한 번역연구(飜譯硏究)(I))

  • "Uihakdokseogi(醫學讀書記)" is a casual work which mentions Ujaekyeong(尤在涇)'s thoughts on various problems found through extensive studying or in practice. The book does not focus on a single topic, thus the spectrum of the work is broad and is filled with problems which would interest most medical professionals. The major contents of the first volume of "Uihakdokseogi(醫學讀書記)" include differences of view on health preservation, the Five Circuit Phases[五運] and Six Atmospheric Influences[六氣], diseases, and the "Naegyeong(內經)", mentions on errors in transcription , and the gap between certain contents in "Yeongchu(靈樞)" and "Somun(素問)". U[尤在涇] asserts that Eum and Yang(陰陽) in a human should be in harmony as is the Gi(氣) of the sky and earth[天地] is, and that one should live according to the Gi(氣) of the four seasons to live a healthy life. He does not vary largely from the context of other writers on the matter of the Five Circuit Phases [五運] and Six Atmospheric Influences[六氣], and focuses on the concepts of predominant Gi[主氣], guest Gi[客氣], corresponding years[天符] , correlating years[歲會], and Taeeul corresponding years[太乙天符]. He mentions causes, symptoms, and treatments of various diseases such as cough due to asthenia of the viscera, stagnation of Yang(陽), stagnation of Eum(陰), abscess of the stomach, hard abscess of the intestines, upper emaciation, edema of the limbs, inability to raise the limbs, broken thigh, turbid fluid, inversion of Gi(氣) flow, sudden onset of fainting with cold extremities, diarrhea due to disorder of Gi(氣), and malaria. U[尤在涇] also points out faults of "Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion[甲乙經]" in the understanding of "Naegyeong(內經)".

Effects of Nutrition Education Using Dietary Guidebook in Higher Grade Elementary Students of Jeonbuk Area (전북 일부 지역 초등학교 고학년 대상 '영양·식생활 가이드북'을 활용한 영양교육 효과)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to examine the effects of nutrition education with a dietary guidebook for children on dietary attitude, nutrition knowledge and nutrient intakes. Methods: The subjects were 54 higher grade elementary students (27 educated vs. 27 non-educated). The educated group was provided individual and/or group lessons (40 min/lesson/week, 4 week) using a dietary guidebook of Children developed by The Korean Society of Community Nutrition (KSCN) & Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The contents were Balanced Diet, Smart Food Choices, Cooking a Healthy Snack and Building a Healthy Body. We examined the differences in nutrition knowledge, dietary attitudes and dietary intake between the educated group and non-educated group. Results: After education, the educated group improved dietary attitude, nutrition knowledge and qualitative nutrient intakes compared to the non-educated group. Specifically, among dietary attitudes, 'taking a meal with salty and spicy food' increased, while among nutrition knowledge, 'functions of protein', 'functions of fat', 'foods with carbohydrates', 'foods with fat', 'foods with vitamins', and 'foods with minerals' were increased. Nutrition adequacy ratio (NAR) scores for vitamin C, iron, and zinc were increased. Conclusions: Nutrition education using a dietary guidebook for children developed by the KSCN & KFDA had positive effects on nutrition knowledge and qualitative nutrient intakes. These findings suggest that nutrition education focused on personalized daily energy and nutrient requirements may improve dietary attitude and quantitative nutrient intakes of children.

  • Pythagorean theorem is one of mathematical contents which is widely used during human culture have developed. There are many historial records related to Pythagorean theorem made by Babylonian, Egyptian, and Mesopotamian. The theorem has the important meaning for mathematics education in secondary school education. Along with the importance of the proof itself, diverse proof methods and ideas included in their methods are also important since the methods improve students' ability to think mathematics. Hence, in this paper, we classify and analyze 390 proof methods published in the book "All that Pythagorean theorem" and other materials. Based on the results we derive educational meaning in mathematics with respect to main idea of the proof, the preliminaries of the study, and study skills used for proof.

Analysis of Social Studies Textbooks Application for Universal Design for Learning for Students with Disabilities (장애학생 통합교육 사회과 교수·학습자료의 보편적 학습설계 적용 분석)

  • This study examined whether the integrated education social studies textbooks developed for students with disabilities were properly implemented in terms of universal design for learning. For analysis, "Teaching and learning materials for inclusive education of students with disabilities: grade 3~6 social studies textbooks", which were instructional adaptation, were selected for students with disabilities who are unable to learn the contents of general textbooks for the 3rd to 6th grade of the elementary school social course in the 2015 revised curriculum. The social curriculum grades are composed of 20 units, including general public, geography and history. The content analysis standard was based on detailed items of 9 definitions according to the 3 principles of UDL presented in CAST (2018). Overall, the aspect of providing multiple means of action and expression was the most frequently observed, followed by providing multiple means of representation and providing multiple means of engagement. Special education teachers and textbook developers can use these results as a resource for designing curricula and lessons for students with disabilities in the inclusive classroom.

A Study on the Reading Performance of Elementary School Students by Media Type (매체 유형에 따른 초등학생의 읽기 성과에 관한 연구)

  • This study proposes a medium-specific reading instruction method for digital natives exposed to various reading media with the development of information and communication technology. For this purpose, an elementary school located in H-si, Gyeonggi-do was selected and the readability and literacy tests according to the media were conducted for 6th graders. In the experiment, the same article contents were divided into three groups, and the time required to read and read using different media was measured, and the literacy according to the media was confirmed through quizzes. As a result of the measurement, the average reading time of the web-page was 3 minutes 28 seconds, the quiz correct answer rate (average) 3.99 questions, the average reading time of the pdf file in the form of an e-book was 5 minutes 23 seconds, the correct answer rate (average) 4.35 questions, the average reading time of the printed text was 7 minutes 14 seconds, and the correct answer rate (average) 6.26 questions. The number of students who participated in the experiment is 144, and there is a limit to generalizing the reading method according to the media type only with the results of the researcher's experiment.

A Study on Development of Digital Nautical Publication (전자항해서지 개발 연구)

  • Nautical Publications is a special purpose book, or a specially compiled database, that is issued officially by or on the authority of a Government, authorized Hydrographic Office and is designed to meet the requirements of marine navigation such as SOLAS and PSC. Nautical publications include List of Lights, Sailing directions. The SNPWG(Standardization Nautical Publications Working Group) from the IHO is working to implement in computer systems all those elements of interest for Hydrography and Navigation Concerning nautical publications' digitization process, the SNPWG has defined three types of nautical publications: Type 1 : Hard copy(NP1), Type 2 : Digital version, A slight modification of type 1(NP2), Type 3 : Digital version for ECDIS(NP3). Nautical Publications is essential with nautical charts as reference information to navigate. Development of digital nautical publications is needed for liaison with the chart production system, up-to-dateness of hydrographic information, improvement of service. But, Korean status is positioned in NP1. In our study, we surveyed the present status of nautical publications for development strategy of digital nautical publications. We build database of south coast of sailing direction, develop a manager program, convert the contents to KML( Keyhole Markup Language), develop a user program.
