In a recent wireless network environments, dynamic host configuration protocol (BHCP) service is used to assign IP addresses to mobile terminals. In IPv6 networks, it is necessary to introduce the concept of handoff to support a seamless service to mobile terminals. In a general soft handoff technique used by code-division multiple acces (CDMA) communication systems, the powers received to base station are simply compared to determine which base station will handle the signal to and from each mobile termins. However, in IPv6 network, to transmit data-oriented services, it is necessary to support an enhanced soft handoff technique with more security and quality of service. In this paper, we propose a scheme to reduce a signaling process of handoff in IPv6 network. Also, we propose a technique to reduce wasted reservation resources and to guarantee quality of service (QoS) using DHCP.

Relatively slow tuning speed of optical device causes the unwanted delay in high speed single-hop multiwavelength networks. To lessen the overhead, we present a channel access protocol with dynamjic message scheduling. Th eframe structure of proposed protocol adopts hybrid multiaccess scheme in which WDMA is used as a basic multiaccess technique and TDMA is used to provide subchannels within a wavelength band. This architecture has two merits : the network extention is not limited by available number of wavelengths, and the transmission delay caused by optical device tuning time can to minimize the number of tunings. It schedules messages that require same wavelength channels sequencely, so the total transmission delay is reduced by decreasement of wavelength changes. The performance of proposed protocol is evaluated through numerical analysis based on probability and queueing theory. The numeric results show that the peformance of proposed protocol is better than that of previous one.

This paper presents a novel heuristic mechanism, Dynamic-network Adapted Cost selection (DAC-selection), which has higher backup path sharing rate, lower number of blocked channel requests and number of used wavelengths fer reservation of working path and backup path by using unique cost function than that of widely used random selection (R-selection) mechanism and Combined Min-cost selection (CMC-selection) mechanism proposed by Lo, while maintaining 100% restoration capability.

This paper considers WiMedia UWB network based wireless ship area network (WSAN) so as to support high-quality multimedia video data services and important shipboard control data. In this paper, prioritized contention access (PCA) and distributed reservation protocol (DRP) based on WiMedia UWB (ECMA-368) MAC protocols are combined and proposed to support mixed high-quality video traffic and shipboard control data traffic applying varying DRP and PCA data periods according to channel condition and link parameter ptimization. It is shown that the proposed dynmaic channel allocation of WiMedia UWB MAC protocol can provide reliable mixed video and shipboard control data traffic as well.

A dynamic tri-threshold call admission control scheme has been developed. This scheme supports voice, data, and multimedia services and it complies with the universal mobile telecommunications system. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated under varying handover rates. The QoS performance-including channel utilization, call dropping probability, and blocking probability-is investigated. The performance of the developed scheme is found to be encouraging.

본 논문에서는 BSA(Basic Service Area)에 독립적으로 분산되어 있는 이동단말기들을 대상으로 기존 STM(Synchronous Transfer Mode)에서의 유휴채널을 이용하여 다른 트래픽을 지원하므로 서 이용률을 극대화시킬 수 있는 통계적 다중화 기능을 무선매체를 통해 확장하는 기능을 수행하는 무선 ATM 망에서의 매체접근제어 프로토콜과 멀티미디어 서비스특성에 따른 기존 유선망 기반에서의 고정할당방식(연결 지향적) 및 랜덤할당방식(비연결지향적)을 개선하기 위한 동적 예약 기반의 매체접근제어 프로토콜에 대해 제시한다.

본 논문에서는 음성 및 데이터서비스를 위한 무선접속시스템에서 D-TDMA(Dynamic-Time Division Multiple Access)와 CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) 프로토콜의 성능을 비교 분석하였다. D-TDMA 프로토콜에서 음성서비스는‘circuit mode’로 채널 사용 우선권을 부여하고 데이터서비스는 FCFS(First Come First Service) 형태의 동적 채널 할당 방식을 사용하였다. CDMA 프로토콜에서는 내부 셀과 외부 셀에 존재하는 다른 이동가입자들의 간섭잡음을 줄이기 위하여 음성검출 기법을 사용하고, 이 경우의 간선잡음전력을 분석하였다. 또한, 이 간섭잡음전력을 이용하여 실제 데이터의 BER(Bit Error Rate)를 구하고, 평균 데이터 길이와 평균 데이터 발생률의 변화에 따른 음성차단확률(음성패킷손실확률) 및 데이터전송 지연시간을 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과에 따르면 평균 데이터 길이가 짧을 경우, 데이터 발생률의 증감에 독립적으로 CDMA 프로토콜이 상대적으로 우수한 성능을 보였다. 그러나, 평균 데이터 길이가 길어질수록 데이터 전송 지연시간이 큰 폭으로 증가하는 CDMA 프로토콜보다 D-TDMA 프로토콜이 더 우수한 성능을 보였다.

In this paper, we propose the method of a motion planning generation in which the movement of the 3-link leg subsystem is constrained to a slider-link and a singular posture can be easily avoided. The proposed method is the jumping control moving in vertical direction which mimics a cat's behavior. That is, it is jumping toward wall and kicking it to get a higher-place. Considering the movement from the point of constraint mechanical system, the robotic system which realizes the motion changes its configuration according to the position and it has several phases such as; ⅰ) an one-leg phase, ⅱ) in an air-phase. In other words, the system is under nonholonomic constraint due to the reservation of its momentum. Especially, in an air-phase, we will use a control method using state transformation and linearization in order to control the landing posture. Also, an iterative learning control algorithm is applied in order to improve the robustness of the control. The simulation results for jumping control will illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

본 논문은 무선 ATM 서비스를 위한 CDMA WATM 시스템을 제시하며, 매체 접속 방식으로 전송 스케줄링과 슬롯 및 무선 링크 할당 알고리즘을 가진 중앙 제어 예약 접속 방식 (CRMA/TSDA)을 제안한다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 CDMA WATM 시스템을 위한 무선 접속 및 링크 제어 방식으로 지역정보 슬롯 및 링크 할당 알고리즘과 광역정보 슬롯 및 링크 할당 알고리즘을 제안하고, 모의 실험을 통하여 양방향 링크에서의 시스템 용량과 성능을 분석하였다. 제시된 접속 방식 및 제어 방식은 기존의 CDMA 랜덤 접속 방식에 비해 만족할 만한 성능을 보이며, ATM 서비스의 요구 품질을 만족시키며 수용할 수 있다. 특히, 지역 정보 제어 방식은 준최적의 광역 정보 방식에 견줄만한 성능을 갖는다.
