  • Fractional derivative models, which are used to describe the viscoelastic behavior of material, have received considerable attention. Thus it is necessary to put forward the analysis solutions of dynamic systems containing a fractional derivative. Although previously reported such kind of fractional calculus-based constitutive models, it only handles the particularity of rational number in part, has great limitation by reason of only handling with particular rational number field. Simultaneously, the former study has great unreliability by reason of using the complementary error function which can't ensure uniform real number. In this paper, a new approach is proposed for an analytical scheme for dynamic system of a spring-mass-damper system of single-degree of freedom under general forcing conditions, whose damping is described by a fractional derivative of the order $0<{\alpha}<1$ which can be both irrational number and rational number. The new approach combines the fractional Green's function and Laplace transform of fractional derivative. Analytical examples of dynamic system under general forcing conditions obtained by means of this approach verify the feasibility very well with much higher reliability and universality.

  • Dynamic measurements are used rather sparingly to determine the elastic moduli of rock cores and modulus values are not much utilized in design practice. The reason seems to result from the general perception that values obtained by dynamic measurement are much higher (about 10 times) than those determined statically. This paper presents results from dynamic and static tests on rock cores. The findings are : 1) elastic moduli can be consistently determined by laboratory seismic testing. 2) nonlear deformation characteristic of rock cores was tentatively proposed with variation in elastic modulus with strain.

  • In this paper a new dynamic damper driven by DC linear electric motor, is proposed for suppressing wide-band vibration. First, the reason for the incapability of a conventional dynamic damper to suppress wide-band vibration is explained. Then, with its defects taken into consideration, the principle of wide-band vibration control is presented. Finally, experiments ar conducted verifying the control effect of the active dynamic damper for suppressing wide-band vibration.

  • The purpose of this study is to describe how dynamic geometry systems can be useful in proof activity; teaching sequences based on the use of dynamic geometry systems and to analyze the possible roles of dynamic geometry systems in both teaching and learning of proof. And also dynamic geometry environments can generate powerful interplay between empirical explorations and formal proofs. The point of this study was to show that how using dynamic geometry software can provide an opportunity to link between empirical and deductive reasoning, and how such software can be utilized to gain insight into a deductive argument.

  • $DF_{21}$ diesel locomotive was designed to satisfy the requirement of Kunming Meter track and the 2Co self-guided radial bogie was used to suit the complex curve track. There are totally 12 locomotives was served on the track. The first two locomotives were devotion running on the track since April 2003, the wheel tread splling was occurred on the middle wheel set of the two locomotives after running nearly 150 thousands km on the track of the two locomotives at August 2004. The dynamic analysis was carried out to find the reason. The wheel set longitudinal vibration resonance phenomenon was existed on the locomotive dynamic performance, and this was caused by the too big longitudinal stiffness of the journal box bar on the middle wheel set. Wheel set longitudinal vibration resonance maybe an important reason of lead to wheel tread spalling. The corresponding mend methods were put forward from the point of view of wheel set longitudinal vibration resonance. All the wheel tread of the 12 locomotives on the middle wheel set were in good condition and not occurred the wheel tread spalling after the mend till December 2007 after 350 thousands km were finished. The mechanism of the wheel tread splling and corresponding mend method was discussed in detail in this paper.

  • High-speed railway bridges subject to effect of dynamic loads by interaction between vehicle load which run specially fast and behavior of bridges. Such dynamic load effects result in fluctuations and fatigues to each elements as well as whole conduct of bridges. and is influenced in life of bridges. For these reason. Analysis and estimation of data about dynamic behavior of bridges occupies important factor in that estimate the remaining life of bridges and select the maintenance. repair and retrofit. In this paper. Analysis for the dynamic behavior of bridges using displacement and acceleration data that is actuality measure data to the bridges of Seoul-Susan high speed railroad test section has been made.

The reason seems to result from the general perception that values obtained by dynamic measurement are much higher (about 10 time) than those determined statically. This paper presents results from dynamic and static tests on rock cores. One of the findings is that both moduli determined by statically and dynamically on a solid rock core agrees well at the same-strain. At different strain levels, the ratio between dynamic and static modult widely varies depending upon micro-cracks and discontinuites of rock cores.

  • Generally, A Dynamic Absorber by using Active viscous Damping is highlighted for effective suspension system, such as improved ride comfort and handling in the market. Lately, this system based on the Sky-Hook damper theory is introduced by the name of "Active Dynamic Absorber" to us. This system has an excellent performance in contrast to Passive. Adaptive Dynamic Absorber, besides having low cost components of system, low energy consumption. light weight of system. In this viewpoint. most of car-maker will adopt this system in the near future. For this reason, we developed Dynamic Absorber by using Active viscous Damping which is equipped with continuously variable Dynamic Absorber and Control logic consisting Filter and Estimator. control apparatus of Dynamic Absorber operated by 16-bit microprocessor of high performance. variable device of viscous Damping. • A study has been performed to investigate on the dynamic behavior of bridges crossed by the KTX(Korea Train eXpress). The investigated bridge is a 2-span continuous concrete box bridge with spans of 40m length named Yeon-Jae bridge. We have performed many field tests on the dynamic behaviors of a real bridge for KTX using various sensors. For this study, various sensors have been installed on the Yeon-Jae bridge located in the experimental section of the KHSR(Korea High-Speed Railway) track and tests have been performed. Through this study, it is known that effects of local modes and sleepers in the box-girder bridge for the KTX on the dynamic responses is remarkable. Therefore, in the investigation on the accelerations of the box-girder bridge, three dimensional model should be adopted in numerical analysis including the effects of sleepers. The effect of temperature on the accelerations of the bridge should be investigated in the further studies to determine the reason of excessive acceleration.
