This study is aimed to evaluate the effect of $T_{1/2}$ upon count rates in the analysis of dynamic scan using NaI (Tl) scintillation camera, and suggest a new quality control method with this effects. We producted a point source with $^{99m}TcO_4^-$ of 18.5 to 185 MBq in the 2 mL syringes, and acquired 30 frames of dynamic images with 10 to 60 seconds each using Infinia gamma camera (GE, USA). In the second experiment, 90 frames of dynamic images were acquired from 74 MBq point source by 5 gamma cameras (Infinia 2, Forte 2, Argus 1). There were not significant differences in average count rates of the sources with 18.5 to 92.5 MBq in the analysis of 10 to 60 seconds/frame with 10 seconds interval in the first experiment (p>0.05). But there were significantly low average count rates with the sources over 111 MBq activity at 60 seconds/frame (p<0.01). According to the second analysis results of linear regression by count rates of 5 gamma cameras those were acquired during 90 minutes, counting efficiency of fourth gamma camera was most low as 0.0064%, and gradient and coefficient of variation was high as 0.0042 and 0.229 each. We could not find abnormal fluctuation in $x^2$ test with count rates (p>0.02), and we could find the homogeneity of variance in Levene's F-test among the gamma cameras (p>0.05). At the correlation analysis, there was only correlation between counting efficiency and gradient as significant negative correlation (r=-0.90, p<0.05). Lastly, according to the results of calculation of $T_{1/2}$ error from change of gradient with -0.25% to +0.25%, if $T_{1/2}$ is relatively long, or gradient is high, the error increase relationally. When estimate the value of 4th camera which has highest gradient from the above mentioned result, we could not see $T_{1/2}$ error within 60 minutes at that value. In conclusion, it is necessary for the scintillation gamma camera in medical field to manage hard for the quality of radiation measurement. Especially, we found a tendency that count rate changes over time at this study, and we proved that it can effect $T_{1/2}$. And also, there is need of appropriate phantoms and the method of quality management like this study, because there are not any advice or limitation degrees for domestic medical purpose scintillation camera.

In this study, the performance characteristics of the K-based sorbents (KEP-CO2P2, KEPCO RI, Korea) has been studied in relation with the heat exchanger structure and shape in a mixing zone of the carbonator in the bench-scale dry $CO_2$ capture process. Two types of heat exchangers (different structure and shape) were used in the carbonator as CASE 1 and CASE 2, in which the experiment has been continuously performed under the same operating conditions. During the continuous operation, working temperature of carbonator was 75 to $80^{\circ}C$, that of regenerator was 190 to $200^{\circ}C$, and $CO_2$ inlet concentration of the feed gas was 12 to 14 vol%. Especially, to compare the dynamic sorption capacity of sorbents, the differential pressure of the mixing zone in the carbonator was maintained around 400 to 500 mm $H_2O$. Also, solid samples from the carbonator and the regenerator were collected and weight variation of those samples was evaluated by TGA. The $CO_2$ removal efficiency and the dynamic sorption capacity were 64.3% and 2.40 wt%, respectively for CASE 1 while they were 81.0% and 4.66 wt%, respectively for CASE 2. Also, the dynamic sorption capacity of the sorbent in CASE 1 and CASE 2 was 2.51 wt% and 4.89 wt%, respectively, based on the weight loss of the TGA measurement results. Therefore, It was concluded that there could be a difference in the performance characteristics of the same sorbents according to the structure and type of heat exchanger inserted in the carbonator under the same operating conditions.

Purpose : The Varian's Eclipse radiation treatment planning system is able to correct radiation treatment thought leaf gap which is limitation MLC movement for collision with both MLC. In this study, I'm try to analyze dosimetric effect about the leaf gap in treatment planning system. And then apply to clinical implement. Materials and Methods : The Elclipse version is 10.0. In general, the leaf gap set to 0.05~0.3 mm and must measurement each leaf gap. The leaf gap measured by each LINACs and photons. We applied to measured each leaf gap in IMRT and VMAT. Changing the leaf gap, we evaluated treatment plans by Dmax, CI, etc. Results : When the same plan was evaluated with changing the leaf gap, an increase of 2-5% over the value Dmax, CI increases mm to 0.0~0.50 mm leaf gap. Volumetric modulated and intensity modulated radiation therapy plans all showed the same trend was not found significant between each radiation treatment planning. Conclusion : Generally, the leaf gap setting has a unique measure of the Multileaf collimator. However, the aging of the Multileaf collimator, calibration, and can be changed, after inspection and repair of the lip gap should eventually because these values affect the treatment plan must be applied to the treatment after confirmation. In some cases, may be to maintain the initial setting value of the lip gap, which is undesirable because it can override the influence on the treatment plan.

The experimental test was conducted for a heavy-duty DME bus in JE-05 exhaust gas test mode using a chassis dynamometer, exhaust gas analyzers, and a PM measurement system. The heavy-duty DME bus was not equipped with after-treatment systems such as DOC or DPF. The dynamic behavior, emission characteristics, and fuel economy of the bus were investigated with an 8.0-liter, 6-cylinder conventional diesel engine. The results showed that the dynamic behavior in DME mode was almost the same as in diesel mode. However, there was little difference among the two operation modes for $NO_x$ and CO emissions. THC emissions were lower for DME mode than for diesel mode. Also, the amount of PM emissions was remarkably lower than for the diesel mode because DME contains a greater amount of oxygen than diesel. The data showed that $CO_2$ emissions were almost similar in the two modes but fuel economy (calculated using heating value) was lower for DME mode than for diesel mode.

Bridge Weigh-in-Motion(BWIM) system calculates a travelling vehicle's weight without interruption of traffic flow by analyzing the signals that are acquired from various sensors installed in the bridge. BWIM system or data accumulated from the BWIM system can be utilized to development of updated live load model for highway bridge design, fatigue load model for estimation of remaining life of bridges, etc. Field test with moving trucks including various load cases should be performed to guarantee successful development of precise BWIM system. In this paper, a numerical simulation technique is adopted as an alternative or supplement to the vehicle traveling test that is indispensible but expensive in time and budget. The constructed numerical model is validated by comparison experimentally measured signal with numerically generated signal. Also vehicles with various dynamic characteristics and travelling conditions are considered in numerical simulation to investigate the variation of bridge responses. Considered parameters in the numerical study are vehicle velocity, natural frequency of the vehicle, height of entry bump, and lateral position of the vehicle. By analyzing the results, it is revealed that the lateral position and natural frequency of the vehicle should be considered to increase precision of developing BWIM system. Since generation of vehicle travelling signal by the numerical simulation technique costs much less than field test, a large number of test parameters can effectively be considered to validate the developed BWIM algorithm. Also, when artificial neural network technique is applied, voluminous data set required for training and testing of the neural network can be prepared by numerical generation. Consequently, proposed numerical simulation technique may contribute to improve precision and performance of BWIM systems.
A series of the studies on the applied physical properties of domestic species have been conducted last three years. Liriodendron tulipifera, Betula costata, Paulownia coreana were examined on sorption property, thermal property, electric property, acoustic property. Because the same apparatus and experimental procedures were used for all species, their results can be easily comparable. The experiments for sorption property were conducted with 80 mesh wood powder and resulted in their EMC's and sorption isotherms. The thermal conductivity and diffusivity, and electric resistance and volumetric electric resistivity were measured with a thermal-wire device and a high electric resistance meter. The differences of the thermal and electric properties between quarter-and flat-sawn specimens were observed, which was partially attributed to their anatomical differences. An acoustic measurement system was used to evaluate dynamic MOE and internal friction. This paper provides the useful fundamental data for designing a wood structure, correcting a portable resistance-type moisture meter, and acoustic properties of wood.

In this investigation, an ICP-DRC/MS method to measure arsenic with ultra-trace concentration without any interference by the compounds such as $^{40}Ar^{35}Cl^+\;and\;^{40}Ca^{35}Cl^+$, which disturb the precise measurement of arsonic was described. Thus, the oxgen was introduced into the dynamic reaction cell as reaction gas and reacted with arsenic ion created in plasma gas, $AsO^+$ was formed and detected with m/z of 91 by ICP-MS. It resulted in better detection limit than the old method with m/z of 75($As^+$). The optimum condition for oxygen supply as the reaction gas was 0.5 mL/min. The analytical features of the method are as follows: detection limit of $0.02{\mu}g/L$, precision(RSD) of 3.4%, and recovery of 96%. Arsenic in the water samples from the tributary streams to the Han River and the main stream of Paldang were analyzed with this method to identify the characteristics in its distribution. The concentration of As ranged from 0.53 to $1.26{\mu}g/L$. We could measure As with very low concentration, less than $1.0{\mu}g/L$, with excellent reproducibility. The method developed is expected to be applied to analyze As of the samples from sea water, food, and domestic and industrial waste water which have high concentration of Cl and/or Ca.

It is necessary to perform a dynamic analysis to numerically evaluate the effect of blasting on nearby facilities. The blast load time history, which cannot be directly measured, is most often determined from empirical equation. The load has to be adjusted to account for various factors influencing the load and the frequency, but there is not a clear guideline on how to adjust the load. In this study, a series of 2D dynamic numerical analyses that simulates a closely monitored test blasting is performed, from which the blast load that matches the measured vibrations are derived. In the analyses, it is assumed that the hole generated by the blasting is in the form of a circle, and the load was applied normally to the wall of the opening. Special attention was given in selecting the damping ratio for the ground, since it has important influence on the wave propagation and attenuation characteristics of the blast induce waves. The damping ratio was selected such that it matches favorably with the attenuation curve of the measurement. The analyses demonstrate that the empirical blast load widely used in practice highly overstimates the vibration since it does not account for the energy loss due to rock fragmentation. If the empirical load is used without proper adjustment, the numerical analysis may seriously overstimate the predicted vibration, and thus has to be reduced in the analysis.

Generally, the total ventilation resistance coefficient in a tunnel consists of inlet/outlet loss coefficient, wall friction coefficient, and other loss coefficient caused by sudden expansion and contraction of cross-section, etc. For the tunnel before opening, when the running ventilation fan is stopped, the wind speed in the tunnel is reduced by the total ventilation resistance drag. The velocity decay method is comparatively stable and easy to estimate the wall friction coefficient in the pre-opening tunnel. However, the existing study reported that when the converging wind speed is a negative value after the ventilation fan stops, it is difficult to estimate the wall friction coefficient according to the velocity decay method. On the other hand, for the operating tunnel in which the piston effect acts, a more complex process is performed; however, a reasonable wall friction coefficient can be estimated. This paper aims at suggesting a method to minimize the measurement variables of the piston effect and reviewing a method that can be applied to the operating tunnel. Also, in this study, a new method has been developed, which enables to calculate an variation of the piston effect if the piston effect is constant with a sudden change of external natural wind occurring while the wind speed in the tunnel decreases after the ventilation fan stops, and a programming logic has been also developed, which enables dynamic simulation analysis in order to estimate the wall friction coefficient in a tunnel.
In this study, effect of cosurfactant on the solubilization rate of n-octane, n-decane and n-dodecane oil was performed by micellar solutions of polymeric nonionic surfactant Pluronic L64($EO_{13}PO_{30}EO_{13}$) at room temperature. It has been found that the solubilization rate of a hydrocarbon oil was enhanced with an increase in both chain length and amount of alcohol added. In case of addition of a short chain alcohol such as 1-butanol, the solubilization rate of a hydrocarbon oil was slightly increased since most of alcohol molecules remained in an aqueous surfactant solution. On the other hand, the addition of a relatively long chain alcohol such as 1-hexanol and 1-octanol produced a big increase in solubilization rate of a hydrocarbon oil mainly due to incorporation of alcohol molecules into micelles and thus producing more flexible micellar packing density. Dynamic interfacial tension measurements showed the same trend found in solubilization rate measurement. Both interfacial tension value at equilibrium and time required to reach equilibrium decreased with an increase in chain length of an alcohol.
