간호사의 직무만족 관련 요인 (A Study of Nurses' Job Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to measure nurses' perception of job stress and job satisfaction, and to clarify the factors influential to their job satisfaction. Methods: Participants were 169 nurses working at a general hospital. Data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires and analyzed by SPSS/PC WIN 15.0. Results: Subjects perceived that job stress was higher than 'middle (3)', job satisfaction was lower than 'middle (3)', and job-related stress detrimental to job satisfaction. Influential factors for job satisfaction in a 2008 survey were duty-related stress, working conditions, and knowledge/skill-related stress. Duty-related stress and working conditions were cited as influential in a 2009 survey. The explained power for job satisfaction job was 32.5% in 2008 and 21.1% in 2009. Conclusions: Higher job-related stress detracts from job satisfaction. Hospital/nursing managers need to develop strategies that could improve the personal relationship between nurses and doctors, and provide administrative support to nurses. Provision of a financial personnel management plan could alleviate future nursing shortage triggered by job dissatisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the working condition of physical therapists and the degree of job satisfaction. This study also was to identify the causes of job stress: to examine job stress and job satisfaction; and to find factors that affect job satisfaction for physical therapists in Korea. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted from February 17 to March 15 in 2003. Survey data was obtained from 255 therapists registered in Korean Physical-Therapists Association. Results were as follows: 1. The degree of job satisfaction was moderate. 2. The degree of stress with their work was a little high. 3. Duty itself is one of the main factors of job stress of physical therapists. Working atmosphere and the relationships with job colleagues turned to be closely related to the degree of satisfaction. 4. The longer their total term of service was and the older they are, the greater the satisfaction with work was. In conclusion, the physical therapists can be encouraged to do their work more energetically and voluntarily. At the same time, the feeling of mission can also grow by shortening of working hours, reducing the quantity of work, and offering more salary. It is also to recommend an effective performance of duty and the development of their medical service to be introduced.

응급구조사의 직무만족도와 조직몰입도에 관한 연구 - 광주·전남 응급구조사를 중심으로 - (Job satisfaction and organizational commitment among emergency medical technicians)

  • A descriptive-correlational study was conducted to examine the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of emergency medical technicians(EMTs) and to identify the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Subjects of this study werw 85 EMTs who passed first grade qualification examination and work at hospitals or fire stations in Gwangju and Chonnam province. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire by a postal survey from Sept. 10 to Oct. 20, 2003. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, ANOVA. t-test, and Pearson Correlation were used. The mean score of subjects' job satisfaction was 3.04 and the mean score of organizational commitment was 3.33. There was no significant differences on job satisfaction and organizational commitment by general characteristics of subjects. Job satisfaction was significantly differed by their careers as a EMT, current working place, and types of duty. Organizational commitment was significantly differed by their current working place, types of duty, and level of mean allowance. There was statistically significant positive correlation between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. These findings provide implications to improve job satisfaction and organizational commitment for EMTs. Further studies are recommended.

일부 대학부속병원 외래간호사와 병동간호사의 업무 스트레스와 직무만족도 비교 (A Comparative Study on Job Stress and Satisfaction between Ward Nurses and Outpatient Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was to compare job stress and job satisfaction between ward nurses and outpatient nurses, and to identify the correlation between job stress and job satisfaction. Methods: The subjects of this study were 200 ward nurses and 85 outpatient nurses in G and I University Hospital in Incheon. The data were collected in March 2010 and analyzed with t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: There was no significant difference in overall job stress between two groups, but slightly higher stress level for ward nurses. In sub-area of job stress, 'nursing duty' was primary for both groups. And in 'nursing duty' (t=2.05, p=.041), 'conflict with patients' (t=2.73, p= .007), and 'working environment' (t=3.37, p<.001) ward nurses showed significant higher level of stress than outpatient nurses. For job satisfaction, outpatient nurses showed higher level significantly (t=-2.98, p=.003). And both groups of nurses' job satisfaction was negatively correlated with job stress significantly (r=-.31, p<.001). Conclusion: It will be possible to reduce job stress and promote job satisfaction level for both groups of nurses by adding staffs, and specifically for ward nurses by improving facilities for relax and appropriate supply, and for outpatient nurses by managing interpersonal stress and reducing side tasks.

병원영양사의 직무만족요인에 대한 조사연구 (A Study on the Factors of Job Satisfaction of the Dietitians Working in Hospitals)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the degrees and the influence factors of job satisfaction of dietitians working in hospitals in relation to performance of duty in their works and to provide effective management of hospital dietitians for high quality health and food service in hospital. The questionaire was prepared with reference to the previous studies on job satisfaction of dietitians working in hospitals throughout the nation. 201 dietitians in the country were surveyed. The period of research was from January 20 to February 28, 1995. The results are as follows. 1) In regard to the degree of job satisfaction of hospital dietitians, they showed the highest degree of job satisfaction in the relationships with fellow dietitians followed by worth and self-confidence, aptitude and interests, relationships with cooks, job stability, degree of recognition of the dietitians competence, supervision of the superiors, degree of application of professional knowledge, work load, wage level, degree of recognition of the importance of duty, cooperative relationships with load, wage level, degree of recognition of the importance of duty, cooperative relationships with doctors, degree of performance of clinical work, the number of dietitians, the prromotion system, and welfare system in that order. On the other hand, they showed the highest dissatisfaction with food service facilities. 2) The influence factors on job satisfaction are as follows. (1) Wage factor : Shorter weekday working hours and higher bonuses make greaster job satisfaction (R2=0.3115). (2) Working condition factor : Larger number of monthly holidays(R2=0.5142), shorter weekday working hours(R2=0.1077), longer previous food service experience and computer utilization (R2=0.1432) make greater job satisfaction. (3) Welfare factor : Welfare system (R2=0.4132) and promotion system (R2=0.1624) have to do with computer utilization. Job stability has to do with marital status and computer utilization (R2=0.1165). consequently, those married dietitians who use computers show higher job satisfaction. (4) Human relationship factor : Smaller mumber of patients receiving food makes greater job satisfaction (R2=0.1334). (5) Superivision factor : Shorter weekday working hours and larger number of monthly holidays make greater job satisfaction (R2=0.1709). (6) Achievement factor : Marriage, larger number of dietitians(R2=9.2293), age, larger number of monthly holiday, higher monthly wages and computer utiliazation (R2=0.1088) make greater job satisfaction. (7) Speciality factor : Marriage, longer current hospital tenure, higher position and working in seoul(R2=0.1142) make higher job satisfaction. (8) Job inclination factor : working in general hospitals rather than in oriental hispitals, working in seoul(R2=0.1776) and better bonuses(R2=0.1078)make greater job satisfaction. As a result, the following is suggested for the job satisfaction of hospital dietitions on the basis of this study : hospital dietitians can achieve miximum job satisfaction through smooth relationships with coworkers, and the responsible managers should improve welfare and working conditions for the job satisfaction of hospital dietitians.

대전·충남지역 치과위생사의 피로자각증상이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (The effects subjective fatigue symptoms to job satisfaction in Daejon city and south Chungcheong province of dental hygienists)

  • In order to investigate the complaint rates of subjective fatigue symptoms and the degree of job-satisfaction among dental hygienists based on their socio-demographic and job characteristics and to find out the factors related with subjective fatigue symptoms and job satisfaction. The study subjects were recruited from 274 dental hygienists who worked at dental hospitals and clinics in Daejon city and South Chungcheong Province during the period between Jan. 5 and Feb. 11, 2008. They were asked to complete the self-administered questionnaires asking about their socio-demographic characteristics. job characteristics. daily life styles, job satisfaction and subjective fatigue symptoms, and the major finding of the results were as follows : 1. The mean scores of job satisfaction were 3.12V0.47 of the total full scores(5.00). and the highest scores were in the sub-domain of interpersonal relationship. and the lowest scores were pay. The scores of job satisfaction by socio-demographic characteristics and daily life styles were not significantly differences, but in job characteristics, significantly increased with those feeling satisfied with their job. those with appropriate amount of duty amount, those free of jop autonomy, those feeling satisfied with their monthly income. satisfactory personal relations at work. 2. The mean scores of subjective fatigue symptoms were 27.6V10.9 of the total full scores(60.0), and the highest scores were in the sub-group of bodily projection of fatigue(Group III), and they were followed by difficulty in concentration(Group II). dullness and sleepness(Group I) in their decreasing order of magnitude. The scores of job satisfaction by socio-demographic characteristics and daily life styles were significantly increased with the group of lower age, the group of irregularly breakfast habit and the worse subjective health status. Based on job characteristics. the score of subjective fatigue symptoms were significantly increased with those group of lower clinical career and monthly income, those feeling unsatisfied with their job, those with inappropriate amount of duty amount. those satisfactory personal relations at work 3. The correlation of subjective fatigue symptoms with job satisfaction showed a negative correlation with rM-0.198(pM0.000), and job satisfaction were higher according to the lower subjective fatigue symptoms. The correlation among the scores of sub-domain of job satisfaction and the sub-group of subjective fatigue symptoms were significantly positive correlation. 4. The affecting factors of significance on job satisfaction included clinical career, duty amount salary satisfaction, with the explanatory power of 32.9%. Those on subjective fatigue symptoms included the eucation and the subjective health statuts, with the explanatory power of 20.8%. When considering these results, the job-satisfaction and the subjective fatigue symptoms were significantly correlated with the job related factors than factors of socio-demographic characteristics and daily life styles. In addition. if job environments of dental hygienist can improved. their job-satisfaction and subjective fatigue symptoms are suggested to be betters.

신경회로망을 이용한 에어컨의 가변주기제어 방법론 개발 (Development of Variable Duty Cycle Control Method for Air Conditioner using Artificial Neural Networks)

  • This paper presents a novel method for satisfying the thermal comfort of indoor environment and reducing the summer peak demand power by minimizing the power consumption for an Air-conditioner within a space. Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) use the fixed duty cycle control method regardless of the indoor thermal environment. However, this method has disadvantages that energy saving depends on the set-point value of the Air-Conditioner and direct load control (DLC) has no net effects on Air-conditioners if the appliance has a lower operating cycle than the fixed duty cycle. In this paper, the variable duty cycle control method is proposed in order to compensate the weakness of conventional fixed duty cycle control method and improve the satisfaction of residents and the reduction of peak demand. The proposed method estimates the predict mean vote (PMV) at the next step with predicted temperature and humidity using the back propagation neural network model. It is possible to reduce the energy consumption by maintaining the Air-conditioner's OFF state when the PMV lies in the thermal comfort range. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed variable duty cycle control method, the case study is performed using the historical data on Sep. 7th, 2001 acquired at a classroom in Seoul and the obtained results are compared with the fixed duty cycle control method.

  • Air transport industry tries to enhance punctuality, stability and amenity for customer's satisfaction. Especially airlines and airports do make an effort as the distance between these two stakeholders and passengers are close. This research has empirically discussed the relationship between duty free shop purchase of passengers and the number of flights and hours of schedule delay at the airport. According to the result, the total sales of duty free shop sales have meaningful influence on the number of flights and hours of delay. In order to decrease such an impact, close cooperation between airports and duty free shops required.

서비스 청사진을 이용한 면세점에서의 서비스접점 개선 연구 (Improvement of Service Encounter in Duty free shop using Service Blueprinting)

  • 본 연구는 서비스 청사진 기법을 활용하여 면세점의 서비스 청사진을 설계하고 면세점의 유형에 따라 서비스접점에서 발생하는 문제점을 분석하고 해결방안을 제시하고자 서비스 청사진의 구조를 설계하였다. 면세점은 도심과 공항면세점으로 나누어 유형별로 차이점을 분석하고, 가시선을 중심으로 고객과의 직접적으로 대면하는 상호작용선과 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 내부 상호작용선의 서비스접점 과정을 세부적으로 분석하여 고객의 대기지점과 고객 서비스 실패 요소를 파악하여 이를 해결 할 수 있는 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 서비스 청사진을 통해서 각 면세점의 서비스 전달 프로세스를 고객의 동선에 따라 확인함으로써 서비스 전달 프로세스 시스템 설계를 고객 지향적으로 설계 할 수 있었다. 둘째, 대기지점 W(Waiting)와 실패요소 F(Failure point)를 파악하였고, 지속적으로 보완되고 제공되어져야 할 면세점 서비스 품질 활동의 표적을 제공 할 수 있었다. 셋째, 면세점 서비스 전달 프로세스를 구성하고 있는 다양한 요인 간의 관련성을 파악함으로써 고객만족을 향상시킬 수 있는 전략적 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 향후 연구될 면세점 서비스 전달 프로세스에 대한 객관적인 자료 제공에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

텍스트 마이닝을 통한 한국과 중국 시내면세점 만족 속성과 소비자 평점에 미치는 영향 분석 -중국인 관광객을 중심으로 (A Text Mining Analysis of Attributes for Satisfaction and Effect of Consumer Ratings to Korea and China Duty Free Stores - Focusing on Chinese Tourists -)

  • 본 연구에서는 중국 최대 온라인 리뷰 사이트인 Dazhong Dianping에서 중국인 관광객들은 한국과 중국 시내 면세점의 어떠한 속성들을 중요하게 생각하며 어떠한 Cluster들이 별점 점수(만족도)에 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 따라서 한국 시내면세점 리뷰 5,659개 중국 산야 시내면세점 리뷰 4,051개 총 9,710개를 R을 활용하여 텍스트 마이닝 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 한국 시내 면세점에서는 Sale, Membership, Food가 총 별점에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 중국 시내면세점에서 Sale, Product, Airport, Food, Membership이 총 별점에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 면세점 만족도 속성 중 Food라는 속성을 발견하면서 면세점 쇼핑 중 이용할 수 있는 식당 등의 편의 시설 공간을 제공하는 것이 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 이는 면세점 선택 및 만족의 새로운 속성을 찾았다는 점에 기인하여 연구를 확장시킬 수 있었다. 실무적으로 면세점 종사자들에게 식당 등의 편의시설 공간 제공이 중요함을 인식시킬 수 있었다.
