Effect of Packaging Method and Storage Time on Physicochemical Characteristics of Dry-Cured Pork Neck Products at 10℃

  • Dry-cured pork neck samples were stored at $10^{\circ}C$ for 90 days under vacuum packaging (VP) or modified atmosphere packaging (MAP; 25% $CO_2$+75% $N_2$) conditions. The pH, moisture, water activity, total aerobic bacteria, and Enterobacteriaceae counts of dry-cured pork neck products with MAP were significantly lower than those with VP (p<0.05) after 90 days of storage. However, CIE $b^*$ and 2-thiobarbituric acid reacted substance (TBARS) values of the pork product with MAP were significantly higher (p<0.05) than those with VP. Total aerobic bacterial counts and Enterobacteriaceae counts of samples with MAP were lower than those with VP after 30 days of storage. Sensory results indicated that aroma, flavor and tenderness scores of the samples with both VP and MAP decreased during storage and the scores after >60 days of storage were lower than those at Day 1. In conclusion, despite presenting higher lipid oxidation, the samples stored in packages containing 25% $CO_2$ for 90 days at $10^{\circ}C$ have lower bacterial counts than vacuum-packed samples. Therefore, further studies should be performed on the packaging of dry-cured meat at adjusted concentrations of $CO_2$.

사용후핵연료의 탈피복 및 건식 분말화/혼합 장치의 타당성 분석 (Feasibility Study of a Device for Decladding and Dry Pulverizing/Mixing Spent Fuel)

  • The dry pulverizing/Mixing device is used to deal with the spent fuels for the safe disposal. The separated pellets from hulls by a slitting device are put and oxidized from UO$_2$ solid pellet to U$_3$O$\_$8/ powder in the device. The device have been developed based on a voloxidation method which is one of several dry de-cladding methods. We have benchmarked dry de-cladding methods, analyzed applicability to the advanced spent fuel management process, integrated and compared several configuration, and finally derived detailed specifications proper to requirements for the device. Also, thermal characteristics of the device such as thermal stress and strain have been analyzed by the commercial software, 1-DEAS, and the reliability of the results have been verified by the KOLAS(Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme). The UO$_2$ solid pellets are put in the device which has a capacity of 20 kgHM per a batch, heated up about 600$^{\circ}C$ in the air environment. Then, the UO$_2$ solid pellets are oxidized into the U$_3$O$\_$8/ powder, and the powder is collected in a special vessel. The device has been designed and developed as fellows: the multi-staged fine hole meshes are used to reduce the size of the powder gradually, heat and air(oxygen) are supplied continuously to reduce the reaction time, and slight vibration effect are applied to collect powder cling to the device.

The Effects of Varying Sampling Flow Rates on the Measurements of Total Nitrate and Sulfate in Dry Acid Deposition

  • One technique for determining dry acid deposition fluxes involves measurement of time - averaged ambient concentrations of dry acid deposition species using filter packs (FP) coupled with estimates of mean deposition velocities for the exposure period. A critical problem associated with filter pack data comparisons between various field sampling networks is the use of diverse sampling flow rates and duration protocols. Field experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of varying sampling flow rates, from 1.5 to 10 standard liters per minute, on total nitrate and sulfate measurements of specific dry acid deposition species . Collocated FP samplers were used to determine sampling and analysis data reproducibility and representativeness . Ambient air samples were simultaneously collected using groups of filter packs operated at various flow rates over identical 7 day periods. The species measured were sulfur dioxide, particulate sulfate , nitric acid and particulate nitrate. Statistical results (ANOVA; alpha level 5%) showed that neither the low nor high sampling flow rates caused a significant difference in the measurements of total sulfate and adjusted total nitrate (ATN) . However, it was concluded that for high flow rate sampling measurements, total nitrate (TN) could be affected during extended sampling durations because of potential nitric acid overloading and breakthrough. Although the previous workers (Costello, 1990; Quillian, 1990) used much higher sampling flow rates (~ 17 sLpm) than employed here, it was assumed that for a high loading (> 50$\mu\textrm{g}$ HNO$_3$) of nitric acid on the Nylon filters, a significant fraction (~10%) of nitric acid could pass through the Nylon filters and be collected on the carbonate impregnated filters. It was concluded that even at the highest sampling flow rate employed (10 sLpm) at the Cary Forest site, nitric acid breakthrough was less than 10% of the total HNO$_3$ collected. However, for a heavily polluted urban airshed or with longer sampling times , higher filter loadings could result in substantial nitric acid breakthrough and HNO$_3$concentrations would be underestimated.

Si1-xGex 층의 건식산화 동안 Ge 재 분포와 상호 확산의 영향 (Effect of Ge Redistribution and Interdiffusion during Si1-xGex Layer Dry Oxidation)

  • We have studied the Ge redistribution after dry oxidation and the oxide growth rate of $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ epitaxial layer. Oxidation were performed at 700, 800, 900, and $1,000\;^{\circ}C$. After the oxidation, the results of RBS (Rutherford Back Scattering) & AES(Auger Electron Spectroscopy) showed that Ge was completely rejected out of the oxide and pile up at $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ interface. It is shown that the presence of Ge at the $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ interface changes the dry oxidation rate. The dry oxidation rate was equal to that of pure Si regardless of Ge mole fraction at 700 and 800$^{\circ}C$, while it was decreased at both 900 and $1,000^{\circ}C$ as the Ge mole fraction was increased. The dry of idation rates were reduced for heavy Ge concentration, and large oxiidation time. In the parabolic growth region of $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ oxidation, the parabolic rate constant are decreased due to the presence of Ge-rich layer. After the longer oxidation at the $1,000^{\circ}C$, AES showed that Ge peak distribution at the $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ interface reduced by interdiffusion of silicon and germanium.

2005년 도시지역의 건성침적량 산정에 관한 연구 (Estimation of Dry Deposition in Urban Area, 2005)

  • Dry deposition fluxes for $SO_2$, particulate sulfate, nitrate, ammonium and $HNO_3$ were estimated in urban area for the time period January$\sim$ October 2005. Fluxes were generated using atmospheric concentration data collected both in Acid Deposition and Air Quality Monitoring Networks, and deposition velocities computed by combining land-use data with meteorological information. The resulting annually averaged $SO_2$, $NO_3$, and aerosol deposition velocities were found to be 0.4 cm/s, 4.3 cm/s and 0.1 cm/s, respectively, and thus deposition rates were 4.4 mg/$m^2$. day for $SO_2$, and 5.4 mg/$m^2$ . day for $NHO_3$, and particulate sulfate, ammonium and nitrate recorded 1.0 mg/$m^2$ . day, 0.4 mg/$m^2$ . day and 0.4 mg/$m^2$ day, respectively. Maximum for in seasonal variation of monthly averaged deposition velocities occurred in summer in contrast to $HNO_3$ showing peak in spring. There was no significant variation for aerosol. The dry to total (wet and dry) deposition contributed about 40% for sulfur and 28% for nitrogen species in this study.

남한강수계 저수기 수질변동 특성에 관한 연구 (Investigation on Water Quality Variation Characteristics during Dry Season in Namhan River Drainage Basin)

  • From the direct outflow of Chungju Dam to the junction of water body and watershed in Paldang lake is the scope of this research. This study performed to investigate the main cause of water quality deterioration and the influenced region in the middle field range of the Namhan river Basin with the onsite measurement of water quality and flow rate simultaneously during spring dry season. The purpose of this study is to find out the time-spatial variation characteristics of water quality and flow rate. Following the flow direction $BOD_5$ and $COD_{Mn}$ concentration increased to the highest value of 3.7 mg/L, 5.9 mg/L at Wolgesa respectively. Chl.a concentration increased to $50mg/m^3$ or so at Kangsang, after that it decreased to $37mg/m^3$ at the junction of Paldang lake. Organic matter concentration variation trend showed similar than that of Chl.a. Also $BOD_5$ concentration tendency was similar to Chl.a in every measuring sites except Paldang lake mixing zone. The major factors of water quality deterioration in Namhan river and Paldang lake during dry season were algal bloom and followed internal production. High phosphorus load from Dalcheon and Seom river caused dry season algal bloom and internal production in transitional zone which was stagnant area in downstream of Namhan river.

참다래 과실의 생장 억제에 따른 과실 생장기의 탄수화물의 농도변화 (Change in Carbohydrate Concentration in Kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) while Fruit Growth Was Restricted)

  • 본 연구에서는 참대라 과실의 생장을 직경 43mm와 52mm의 아크릴파이프 처리로 억제시켜, 과실 생장에 따른 과실조직의 수분 함량과 건물중 변화에 대한 과실의 전당 및 전분 농도를 조사하였다. 과실의 생체중, 건물중과 수분 함량은 파이프 처리에 의해 감소하였으나, 과실이 비대함에 따라 일정한 비율로 증가하였다. 직경 43 mm 아클릴파이프처리 과실은 과실 생장 제3기 동안 수분 함량 증가가 정지되었고 과실의 수확기 적기에는 건물률이 다른 처리보다 높았다. 당농도는 아크릴파이크 처리의 과실에 있어, 일시적으로 증가한 후에 무처리 과실의 농도까지 감소하였다. 그때에 전분 농도와 건물률은 처리간에 차이가 없었다. 그러므로, 아크릴파이프로 처리로 과실의 비대가 억제된 과실의 당 농도는 과실의 수분함량 감소에 따른 것으로 생각되었다.

건식 듀얼 클러치의 열해석 모델에 대한 연구 (A Study on Thermal Analytical Model for a Dry Dual Clutch)

  • The stability of friction characteristics and thermal management for a dry type dual clutch transmission (DCT) are inferior to those of a wet clutch. Too high temperature resulting from frequent engagement of DCT speeds up degradation or serious wear of the pressure plate or burning of the clutch disk lining. Even though it is significantly important to estimate the temperature of a dry double clutch (DDC) in real-time, few meaningful study of the thermal model of DDC has been known yet. This study presented a thermal analytical model of lumped parameters for a DDC by analyzing its each component firstly. Then a series of experimental test was carried out on the test bench with a patented temperature telemetry system to validate the proposed thermal model. The thermal model, whose optimal parameter values were found by optimization algorithm, was also simulated on the experimental test conditions. The simulation results of DDC temperature show consistency with the experiment, which validates the proposed thermal model of DDC.

양생방법이 고결모래의 압축강도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of different curing methods on the compressive strength of cemented sand)

  • Cemented soils or concrete are usually cured under moisture conditions and their strength increases with curing time. An insufficient supply of water to cemented soils can contribute to hydration process during curing, which results in the variation of bonding strength of cemented soils. In this study, by the consideration of in situ water supply conditions, cemented sand with cement ratio less than 20% was prepared by air dry, wrapped, and underwater conditions. A series of unconfined compression tests were carried out to evaluate the effect of curing conditions on the strength of cemented soils. The strength of air dry curing specimen was higher than those of wrapped cured specimen when cement ratio was less than 10%, whereas it was lower when cement ratio was greater than 10%. Regardless of cement ratio, air dry cured specimens were stronger than underwater cured specimens. A strength increase ratio with cement ratio was calculated based on the strength of 4% cemented specimen. The strength increase ratio of air dry cured specimen was lowest and that of wrapped and underwater cured ones increased by square. Strength of air dry cured specimen dropped to maximum 30% after wetting when cement ratio was low. However, regardless of cement ratio, strength of wrapped specimens dropped to an average 10% after wetting.

안구건조증의 뜸 치료에 대한 체계적 문헌 고찰 (Systematic Review of Moxibution Treatment for Dry Eye Syndrome)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study is to review the methodology of clinical trials conducted with the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment on Dry eye syndrome. Methods : Through four foreign online databases(PubMed, Cochrane library, EMBASE, CNKI) and two domestic online databases(NDSL, OASIS), we searched for clinical studies that performed moxibustion for dry eye syndrome from 2000 to December 2018. Only randomized controlled trials(RCT) were selected and anlyzed according to the research method. Results : A total 12 studies were reviewed and conducted in China. BL1, ST2, BL2 were most frequently used acupoints in moxibustion treatment. Among the evaluation indexes, Schirmer I Test(SIT), Tear break-up time(BUT) were used most. In most of the 12 studies, moxibustion treatment showed significant therapeutic effects. Conclusions : These results suggest that it is necessary to develop more detailed standards about moxibustion treatment method as the method of moxibustion is getting more diverse, and objective tools are needed in evaluating dry eye syndrome.
