Design of an Alpine Skiing Game Using ActionScript 3.0

  • Flash is the most popular 2D animation and game development software, supporting vector and media technology at the core, which enables the development of small and pithy games. It is widely used in Web animation, courseware, TV commercials, game development, and other works of design. In this paper, we propose a control movement function and auxiliary functions for an alpine skiing game based on ActionScript 3.0. The control movement function is designed with moving phases (i.e., free fall, sliding, projectile, and landing). The auxiliary functions include drawing path, start/restart movement, and saving the highest score. In addition, for the visual design of our game, we designed animations in connection with a character and background. In order to facilitate testing the friction, users can input a chosen friction value. Without user input, the friction default is set at 0.97.

방호울타리의 충돌해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Crash Analysis of Guard Rail)

  • In guard rail crashes, the development of guard rail structure to ensure the maintenance of safety for passengers is very important. So, this paper focuses on understanding the possibility of efficient structural development considering crash strength of guard rail through computer simulation using the commercial code, LS-DYNA3D at the initial stage of guard rail development. For this study, guard rail structure was modeled using shell elements to represent major structural members and passenger car was modeled using plate elements of simple shape to do not have the drawing, and impact boundary conditions required by regulation was applied. In order to confirm the validity of the computational results, they were compared with the test results.

  • The objective of this study is to propose the whole idealistical process for ecological area zoning based on the natural environment analysis. In order to draw out the ecological zoning, this study used the remote sensing, GIS method and field survey. As a result of this study showed that it was helpful in establishing development direction of Midong Mountain, minimizing the impact on environment by drawing out a development suitable land based on the objective standards and data and also preventing the misconduct development in advance.

  • In general, engineers have to consider a variety of factors in design of a structure. For this reason, it was difficult to make a design program up to now. But the rapid development of hardware and software turns it into a possibile one with considering complex factors and designing simple structures. When we use the design program including structural analysis, we can save time and cost to make calculations; report and drawing. In addition, the design program was developed to reduce the man made errors. Therefore, in this study, we try to develope the design program of the superstructure of P.S.C girder bridge and abutment. This program will provide engineers with time that they can spend on a creative and efficiency task for development of design.

  • The objective of this paper is to introduce a project on developing construction method based estimation system. It means a 3D product model based estimation system to effectively and efficiently manage estimation process during the project life-cycle. This paper describes a outline and method for 3D based estimation system. Normally, it is not easy to take-off the quantity from 3D CAD model, because of all different depths of the quantity take off in each design development stage and nation. This study shows how to keep the balance of its depths in each design development stage such as schematic design, detail design, shop drawing, and so forth.

ICP 알고리즘을 이용한 레일 프로파일 매칭 기법 (Rail Profile Matching Method using ICP Algorithm)

  • In this paper, we describe a method for precisely measuring the abrasion of the railway using an image processing technique. To calculate the wear of the rails, we provided a method for accurately matching the standard rail profile data and the profile data acquired by the rail inspection vehicle. After the lens distortion correction and the perspective transformation of the measured profile data, we used ICP Algorithm for accurate profile data matching with the reference profile extracted from the standard rail drawing. We constructed the prototype of the Rail Profile Measurement System for High-speed Railway and the experimental result on the three type of the standard rail used in Korea showed the excellent profile matching accuracy within 0.1mm.

  • 게임 개발의 성패는 창의적인가 아닌가에서 결정된다. 게임 개발 프로세스의 초기 단계인 시나리오 작성부분에서 특히 창의적인 아이디어 발상이 필요하다. 이를 위해 선행 개발된 웹 기반 창의적 발상 시스템(Creative Group Thinking System:이하 CGTS)을 게임 개발 디자인에 적용하여 활용하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 게임 시나리오 작성 부분의 아이디어 발상 작업을 프로그램화하여 창의성을 높이고 작업시간을 단축하고자 한다.

  • The research and development stage can improve the goal level of the project through systematic operation and management of systems engineering. The test evaluation tasks in the R&D process have a lot of connections with the system engineering in terms of requirement management, and the methodology for deriving the requirements when establishing the test evaluation items has been consistently required. In this paper, we propose the process of effectively establishing and using QFD (Quality Function Deployment), a tool to manage customer requirement, and drawing up HOQ (House of Quality) in the search and exploratory development stage of the self - propelled mortar project.

  • AI-powered robot news is drawing attention as artificial intelligence technology is fully spread in the news distribution field. Robot news still has many technical and ethical problems, but academic research on this is insufficient. This study analyzes the issue of robot writing in artificial intelligent based robot journalism industry using SWOT analysis. As a result, the advantages of big data processes, accurate information gathering, high efficiency and disadvantages such as lack of independent arguments and lack of evidence and opportunities for technical development, government support, academic development, and industrial applications, and threats such as uncritical acceptance and lack of talent have been found. This study suggests three future-oriented directions, such as human-machine collaboration, intelligent news, and chat-bot, through previous studies on the development direction of robot journalism-based article writing.

An Elementary Teacher's Journey Through Action Research for Improving Student Responses

  • This study describes a sixth-grade teacher's professional development journey through action research for improving students' responses in a mathematics class. In the action research, the influence a teacher's questioning tactics would have on students' ability to determine answer reasonability to mathematics problems was investigated. Drawing on qualitative analysis of the teacher's lessons, reflection journal and interviews as well as the classroom students' questionnaires and interviews, this study examines how action research can affect the teacher and the classroom students. The results suggest the popularization of action research among teachers by teacher training and development programs showing the positive changes in the teacher's performance leading to improved student responses.
