This study introduces a software for real-time assessment of combustion stability for utility gas turbines. The software was written with LabView, and implemented the time-domain kurtosis as a parameter to proactively access the instantaneous combustion stability during operation of the industrial gas turbine. The simple time-domain assessment algorithm incorporated in the software is advantageous over conventional frequency-domain signal processing of dynamic pressure signal since it reduces the computational cost, thereby making the algorithm more appropriate for real-time monitoring of combustion stability. Benchmark data obtained from a model gas turbine combustor were used for the reproducibility test of the software. The assessment obtained from the software agreed well with previously published results, indicating that incorporation of the software could enhance the performance of systems monitoring the combustion stability for gas turbines during power generation.

Vibration control of concrete slab mounting precision instrument is needed to make the working vibration environments in frequency domain as well as time domain. In order to take the vibration control countermeasures, signal and system analyses of the concrete slab are processed. Through them the dynamic responses of concrete slab are obtained in frequency domain, and frequency response functions are acquired by exciting the concrete slab and measuring dynamic responses at various points across its surface. The dynamic characteristics of concrete slab are determined by experimental modal analysis. Based on modal parameters from a set of frequency response function measured, it is possible to investigate the effects of potential design modifications and reduce the dynamic response of concerned point by moving or suppressing an objectionable modal resonance conditions through structural dynamics modification.
Methodology of ontology building based on Web resources will not only reduce significantly the ontology construction period, but also enhance the quality of the ontology. Remarkable progress has been achieved in this regard, but they encounter similar difficulties, such as the Web data extraction and knowledge acquisition. This paper researches on the characteristics of ontology construction data, including dynamics, largeness, variation and openness and other features, and the fundamental issue of ontology construction - formalized representation method. Then, the key technologies used in and the difficulties with ontology construction are summarized. A software Model-OntoMaker (Ontology Maker) is designed. The model is innovative in two regards: (1) the improvement of generality: the meta learning machine will dynamically pick appropriate ontology learning methodologies for data of different domains, thus optimizing the results; (2) the merged processing of (semi-) structural and non-structural data. In addition, as known to all wetland researchers, information sharing is vital to wetland exploitation and protection, while wetland ontology construction is the basic task for information sharing. OntoMaker constructs the wetland ontologies, and the model in this work can also be referred to other environmental domains.
A coupled analysis of a floating crane barge with a crane wire and hanging structure is carried out in thetime domain. The motion analysis of the crane barge is based on the floating multi-body dynamics, and thecrane wire is modeled as a simple spring tension. The hanging structure is assumed to be a rigid body with 3 degree-of-freedom translational motion. In this study, numerical simulations were conducted at three different stages. First, the developed code was validated by comparing the time-domain motion response of a crane barge with the frequency-domain results. Then, a coupled analysis of a crane barge and simple structure hanging by the crane wire was performed using the present scheme. The motion response and wire tension from the present calculations are compared with the results of OrcaFlex. The agreement between the two sets of results isfairly good. Last, lowering simulations in regular and irregular waves were conducted considering buoyancy changes in the hanging structure. The effects of the wave conditions, structure's weight, wire length, and lowering speed on the wire tension are considered.
Dielectric studies of methyl acrylate with 1-propanol, 1-butanol, 1-heptanol and 1-octanol binary mixtures have been carried out over the frequency range from 10 MHz to 10 GHz at temperatures of 283, 293, 303 and 313 K using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) for various concentrations. The Kirkwood correlation factor and excess inverse relaxation time were determined and discussed to yield information on the molecular structure and dynamics of the mixture. The values of the static dielectric constant, relaxation time and the Kirkwood correlation factor decrease with increased concentration of methyl acrylate in alcohol. The Bruggman plot shows a non-linearity of the curves for all the systems studied indicates the heterointeraction which may be due to hydrogen bonding of the OH group of alcohol with C=O of the methyl acrylate. The excess inverse relaxation time values are negative for all the systems at all the temperatures indicates that the solute-solvent interaction hinders the rotation of the dipoles of the system.
This paper presents the structural identification of an arch dam model for the damaged, repaired and strengthened conditions under different water levels. For this aim, an arch dam-reservoir-foundation model has been constructed. Ambient vibration tests have been performed on the damaged, repaired and strengthened dam models for the empty reservoir (0 cm), 10 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm, 50 cm and full reservoir (60 cm) water levels to illustrate the effects of water levels on the dynamics characteristics. Enhanced Frequency Domain Decomposition Method in the frequency domain has been used to extract the dynamic characteristics. The dynamic characteristics obtained from the damaged, repaired and strengthened dam models show that the natural frequencies and damping ratios are considerably affected from the varying water level. The maximum differences between the frequencies for the empty and full reservoir are obtained as 16%, 33%, and 25% for damaged, repaired and strengthened model respectively. Mode shapes obtained from the all models are not affected by the increasing water level. Also, after the repairing and strengthening implementations, the natural frequencies of the arch dam model increase significantly. After strengthening, between 46-92% and 43-62% recovery in the frequencies are calculated for empty and full reservoir respectively. Apparently, after strengthening implementation, the mode shapes obtained are more acceptable and distinctive compared to those for the damaged model.
We study the existence of weak solution for the stationary Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m-Vlasov equations in a bounded domain. The proof follows by fixed point method. The asymptotic behavior for large light speed is analyzed as well. We justify the convergence towards the stationary Vlasov-Poisson model for stellar dynamics.

The numerical simulation of air movement in a room using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) requires a complicated set of input data, This includes physical data, such as space geometry, characteristics of supply air flow and contaminant source, etc. as well as computational domain. Among the input data, the boundary conditions related to the inlet are particularly crucial in order to achieve accurate computation results, although there are many other parameters which may also affect the results. The paper describes the formulation of state matrix equations from the linearized multi-machine power system including network dynamics and the application of IEEE First Benchmark Model. The eigenvalues of IEEE First Benchmark Model are investigated not only by changing the compensation of series capacitance at no-load conditions, but also by varying the generator loading at fixed compensation of capacitance. In addition, the pure electrical self-excited mode is also examined by an eigen analysis and time domain simulation.

In this work, we analyze the spatial patterns of a predator-prey system with cross diffusion. First we get the critical lines of Hopf and Turing bifurcations in a spatial domain by using mathematical theory. More specifically, the exact Turing region is given in a two parameter space. Our results reveal that cross diffusion can induce stationary patterns which may be useful in understanding the dynamics of the real ecosystems better.
