모더나이트 촉매상에서 트리메틸벤젠의 반응 (Reactions of Trimethylbenzenes over Mordenite Catalysts)

  • 알루미늄을 추출시킨뒤 양이온 교환에 의해 세공크기를 조절한 모더나이트 촉매상에서 트리메틸벤젠의 이성질화 반응에 대한 형상선택성을 조사했다. 반응온도가 높아짐에 따라 동종간 주고 받기 반응은 크게 증가했고 이성질화 반응에는 큰 변화가 없었다. 1,2,4-트리메틸벤젠의 반응에서 반응시간이 경과함에 따라 1,3,5-트리메틸벤젠과 동종간 주고 받기 생성물이 급격히 감소하였다. 반응생성물의 분포, 특히 이성질화 생성물의 분포로 미루어보아 Ba-모더나이트 촉매의 유효세공의 지름은 약 8.1과 8.6${\AA}$사이값을 갖는 것으로 생각되었다.

Uniform Field Emission from Carbon Nanotubes Fabricated by CO Disproportionation

  • Field emission of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) fabricated by disproportionation of CO has been studied. CNTs fabricated on well-ordered Co nanowire arrays formed on the porous anodic aluminum oxide templates were well graphitized, uniform in diameter and aligned vertically with respect to the plane of the template, and showed a good field emission property. Very uniform emissions were observed from the CNTs fabricated at relatively low temperature, $500-600^{\circ}C$. Low fabrication temperature such as $500^{\circ}C$ could make it possible to fabricate CNTs on soda lime glass, a low-cost substrate, for display panel.

  • Effects of the disproportionating hydrogen pressure and alloy composition on the texture in the HDDR-treated Nd-Fe-B particles were examined using the $Nd_{12.6}Fe_{81.4}B_6$ and $Nd_{12.6}Fe_{68.7}B_6Co_{11.0}Ga_{1.0}Zr_{0.l}$ alloys. Disproportionation kinetics of the $Nd_2Fe_{14}B$ phase in the Nd-Fe-B alloy was retarded significantly by the addition of Co, Ga and Zr. The retarded disproportionation kinetics of the $Nd_2Fe_{14}B$ phase ensured a wider processing win­dow in terms of disproportionating hydrogen pressure for achieving a texture in the HDDR-treated Nd-Fe-B alloy particles.

  • 산화-환원반응은 수용액에서 일어나는 여러 중요한 반응중 하나이다. 산화-환원반응의 평형을 해석하는 것은 습식제련에서 침출, 분리 및 전기화화반응과 같은 단위공정을 설계하는데 있어 큰 도움이 된다. Frost도를 작성하는 방법을 설명하고, Frost도와 Latimer 표로부터 불균등화반응과 균등화반응이 일어나는 조건을 해석하였다. 또한 Frost도로부터 얻을 수 있는 정보에 대해 고찰하였다.

  • The catalytic dehydrocoupling of di-n-butylstannane n-Bu2SnH2 by the Cp2MCl2/Red-Al (M = Ti, Zr, Hf) and M(CO)6/Red-Al in situ combination catalysts yielded a mixture of two kinds of catenated products: one is a cross-linked insoluble solid, and the other is a non-cross-linked soluble solid (≒Sn5) or viscous oil (≒Sn2). The soluble oligostannanes could be produced by simple dehydrocoupling of n-Bu2SnH2, whereas the insoluble polystannanes could be obtained via disproportionation/dehydrocoupling combination process of n-Bu2SnH2. The disproportionation/dehydrocoupling combination process may initially produce a low-molecular-weight oligostannane with partial backbone Sn-H bonds which could then undergo an extensive cross-linking reaction of backbone Sn-H bonds, resulting in the formation of an insoluble polystannane.

Diffusion Controlled Alkylation of Aromatic Compounds in Cation-Exchanged ZSM-5 Zeolites

  • Using uniform flat plate-like samples of ZSM-5 zeolites, diffusion coefficients were measured volumetrically for the diffusion of xylene, ethyltoluene and diethylbenzene by direct measurement of sorption rate. Toluene disproportionation over H(100)-, K(72)-and Cs(82)-ZSM-5 at 773 K and toluene methylation, toluene ethylation and ethylbenzene ethylation over Cs(75)-ZSM-5 at 623 K were carried out. The selective formation of para xylene during the toluene disproportionation, presumably due to the increased tortuosity over Cs-ZSM-5, could be explained by smaller diffusion coefficient in Cs-ZSM-5 than in K-and H-ZSM-5. The para selectivity increased in the order; toluene methylation < toluene ethylation < ethylbenzene ethylation. As the chain length of the alkyl substituent in dialkylbenzenes is increased, the para selectivity of the products was improved. It may be attributed to the differences in the ratios of diffusion coefficient of para products to that of ortho ones. Diffusion coefficient of m-xylene was about 1 order of magnitude smaller than that of o-xylene.

Lipomyces starkeyi JLC26에서 유래된 Carbohydrase의 특성 (Properties of Carbohydrase Prepared from Lipomyces starkeyi JLC26)

  • Lipomyces starkeyi ATCC 74054를 UV로 돌연변이하여 선발한 JLC26의 효소적인 특성을 알아보았다. 효소는 70% ammonium sulfate로 침전시키고, CM-Sepharose column chromatography로 부분 정제하였다. 이때 얻어진 각 효소 specific activity는 amylase 활성의 경우는 5367 unit/mg이었고 dextranase 활성의 경우는 3045 unit/mg이었다. 효소의 최적 pH와 온도는 5.5와 37$^{\circ}C$였으며, pH 2.5-5.5와 4-55$^{\circ}C$에서 안정성을 보였다. 부분 정제된 효소는 amylase와 dextranase 활성을 동시에 보이는 100 KDa의 크기를 가지는 하나의 단백질이었다. 이 효소는 maltotriose 기질과 반응할 때 disproportionation reaction 현상을 보여 가지구조를 지닌 panose와 ${\alpha}(1{\rightarrow}6)$glucosylmaltotriose을 생산하였다. 이 균은 starch 배지에서 키워 amylase와 dextranase 활성을 동시에 지니는 효소를 생산함으로써 dextran과 mutan은 구성된 치태를 분해하는 효소재료로의 이용성이 기대된다.
