Disassembly of Chlorophyll-Protein Complexes in Arabidopsis thaliana during Dark-Induced Foliar Senescence

  • The disassembly of Chl-protein complexes during dark-induced senescence (DIS) was investigated using detached third and fourthleaves of 21$\pm$1 day-old Arabidopsis thaliana. Although Chl content decreased linearly after 1 d, a significant decrease of photochemical effeciency (Fv/Fm) was observed after 2 d. In experiments using native green gel electrophoresis of Chl-protein complexes combined with additional two-dimensional SDS-PAGE analysis, we could observe the degradation of both photosystems after 2 d. Although light-harvesting complex(LHC) for PSI (LHCI) was degraded first in PSI complex, small PSII apoproteins including CP47/CP43 and D1/D2 apoproteins were degraded first in PSII complexes. LHC for PSII (LHCII) trimers were stable until 4 d. The level of LHCII monomers was increased until 3 and decreased thereafter, resulting in the increase of free pigments. These results suggest that the disassembly process of PSI is different from that of PSII.

조립 BOM 생성을 위한 병렬순서 추출 알고리듬 (A Parallel Sequence Extraction Algorithm for Generating Assembly BOM)

  • Although assembly sequence planning is an essential task in assembly process planning, it is known as one of the most difficult and time consuming jobs because its complexity is increased geometrically when the number of parts in an assembly is increased. The purpose of this study is to develop a more efficient algorithm for generating assembly sequences automatically. By considering subassemblies, a new heuristic method generates a preferred parallel assembly sequence that can be used in robotic assembly systems. A parallel assembly sequence concept provides a new representation scheme for an assembly in which the assembly sequence precedence information is not required. After an user inputs both the directional mating relation information and the mating condition information, an assembly product is divided into subgroups if the product has cut-vertices. Then, a virtual disassembly process is executed to generate alternate parallel assembly sequences with intermediate assembly stability. Through searching parts relations in the virtual disassembly process, stable subassemblies are extracted from translation-free parts along disassembling directions and this extraction continues until no more subassemblies are existed. Also, the arithmetic mean parallelism formula as a preference criterion is adapted to select the best parallel assembly sequence among others. Finally a preferred parallel assembly sequence is converted to an assembly BOM structure. The results from this study can be utilized for developing CAAPP(Computer-Aided Assembly Process Planning) systems as an efficient assembly sequence planning algorithm.

  • Today the tastes of consumers change rapidly and the kinds of the products become diverse. There- fore the product life cycle becomes shorter and shorter. Moreover the save of resources and the recycling for the environmental preservation are the essential theme. On this the necessary information for the product development increases enormously. For the right use of the information the design process should be supported by the proper design tool. For this the 'design catalogue system for recycling' is suggested here. This system consists of four parts. that is, 'the existing automobile system database', 'welting principle database', 'Assessment system of the ease of disassembly' and 'one's own product development ratabase'. By the use of this system the product development period could be reduced about 30% drastically.

  • This paper suggests a specific model that could efficiently improve the interaction and the interface between MES(Manufacturing Execution System) server and POP(Point of Production) terminal through electronic document server and electronic pen, bluetooth receiver and form paper in disassembly and process inspection works. The proposed model shows that the new method by electronic document automation system can more efficiently perform to reduce processing time for maintenance work, compared with the current approach by handwritten processing system. It is noted in case of the method by electronic document automation system that the effects of proposed model are as follows; (a) While the processing time per equipment for maintenance by the current method was 300 minutes, the processing time by the new method was 50 minutes. (b) While the processing error ratio by the current method was 20%, the error ratio by the new method was 1%.

Leaf Senescence in a Stay-Green Mutant of Arabidopsis thaliana: Disassembly Process of Photosystem I and II during Dark-Incubation

  • In this study the disassembly process of chlorophyII (ChI)protein complexes of a stay-green mutant (ore10 of Arabidopsis thaliana) was investigated during the dark incubation of detached leaves. During this dark-induced senescence (DIS), the Chi loss was delayed in the mutant, while the photochemical efficiency of photosystem II (PSII) or Fv/Fm was accelerated when compared with the wild type (WT) leaves. This indicates that the decrease in Fv/Fm is a separate process and not causally-linked to the degradation of Chi during DIS of Arabidopsis leaves. In the native green gel electrophoresis of the Chi-protein complexes, which was combined with an additional twodimensional SDS-PAGE analysis, the delayed senescence of this mutant was characterized by the appearance of an aggregate at 1 d or 2 d, as well as very stable light harvesting complex II (LHCII) trimers until 5 d after the start of DIS. The polypeptide composition of the aggregates varied during the whole DIS at 5 d. Dl protein appeared to be missing in the aggregates. This result supports the idea of a faster depletion of functional PSH in the mutants compared with WT, as suggested by the earlier reduction of Fv/Fm and the stable Chl a/b ratio in the mutants. At 5 d, the WT leaves also often showed aggregates, but the polypeptide composition was different from those of ore10. The results presented suggest that the formation of aggregates, or stable LHCII trimers in the stay-green mutants, is a way to structurally protect Chi-protein complexes from serious proteolytic degradation. Detailed disassembly processes of Chi-protein complexes in WT and ore10 mutants are discussed.

3차원 영상분석을 활용한 석탑의 해체와 재조립 : 심곡사칠층석탑 사례 연구 (Disassembly and Reconstruction of Stone Pagoda Using 3-Dimensional Image Analysis : Case Study in Simgoksa Seven-storied Stone Pagoda)

  • 이 연구는 심곡사칠층석탑의 해체와 재조립에 3차원 영상분석 기법을 적용하여 원형에 가깝게 보수한 기술적 사례로써 의미가 있다. 석탑의 해체와 재조립 과정에서 전체적인 변형상태와 변위를 분석하였으며 구조적 안정성 검토를 통하여 재조립에 따른 변형을 최소화하였다. 또한 석탑의 원위치도 재검토하여 보수에 적용하였다. 재조립에 앞서 오염된 석재의 표면은 과학적 표면세정을 통해 이끼류와 지의류 등을 제거하였고, 석탑의 지반은 강회를 이용한 판축과 유사한 형식으로 다짐하여 보강하였다. 이 결과는 석탑의 해체와 재조립 과정에 중요한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • It is important to make use of the scrapped materials, components, and subassemblies which have still high quality and reliability in an out of service cars from the view point of economy and environment. In this paper, we studied geometrical and material characteristics of parte, subassemblies and joining elements to be assembled in designing a car. The mechanism of disassembly between parts and subassemblies is analyzed in order to disassemble recyclable parts in a scrapped automobile. The weak points of disassembly process are analyzed and the parameters for disassemblability are defined. And the guidelines for disassemblability are developed.

  • 재활용을 위한 LCD TV 분해 시 영상 신호 송신, 전원 공급, 화상 구현 등을 위한 다양한 종류의 PCB가 발생한다. PCB에는 금이나 구리와 같은 유가금속이 다량 함유 되어 있으나 사용용도, PCB 패키징 방법에 따라 함유 되어 있는 유가금속의 종류와 함유량에 차이가 있다. 본 연구에서는 PCB 종류에 따른 구조 분석을 통하여 PCB에 함유 된 금과 구리의 함유량에 따라 PCB를 등급별로 분류 하고자 하였으며 금 회수 효율이 높은 PCB, 금 회수 효율이 낮은 PCB, 금이 함유되어 있지 않은 PCB 세 종류로 분류를 하였다. 또한 실제 LCD TV를 분해하여 발생된 PCB에 대한 함유량 분석을 통하여 PCB 내 금과 구리 함유량을 분석하였다.

자동차 연료탱크 모듈의 재활용성 평가 (Recyclability Estimation of Fuel Tank Module in Vechicle)

  • We analyzed recyclability of the fuel tanks made from steel or aluminum alloy. For a comparison of the fuel tank recyclability, first we had analyzed the process of disassembly in a vehicle and evaluated its disassemblability. Then we evaluated the recyclability for reuse and withdrawal. The processes were more or less same owing to the similarity of fastening method of fuel tank and components. However, the fuel tank of the aluminum alloy was easier (about 5%) to disassembly than the fuel tank of steel. This could be attributed to the differences in weight of steel and aluminium. On light of the withdrawal and reuse, the fuel tank made up of steel needed to plate with zinc or lead due to its anti-corrosiveness. Hence, it required additional processes. In this paper, we were explaining the results of our on going research on the recyclability of fuel tanks made of steel and aluminum alloys. The differences that we found between the fuel tank made up of the aluminum alloy and steel were in their weight, recyclability, disassemblability, anticorrosive property, cost and productivity.
