에너지-IT융합 유망산업 및 육성분야 우선순위 도출시 핵심선정요인분석 (Analyzing Critical Priority Factors for Deriving Future Industries and Promotion Fields of Energy-IT Convergence)

  • 에너지산업의 제반문제와 환경문제 해결을 위해 에너지산업에 IT를 접목하는 '에너지-IT융합' 분야에 대한 국가 차원의 다양한 정책들이 수립되어 사업화되고 있다. 에너지-IT융합은 다양한 에너지산업뿐만 아니라 융합되는 IT 특성에 따라 파급효과가 상이하기 때문에 우리 실정에 부합하는 유망산업 및 육성분야를 선정하는 것이 중요하다. 또한, 에너지-IT융합은 신규 서비스의 출현과 산업구조의 변화가 수반되어 연관된 법규 및 정책의 개편이 필요한데 이와 관련된 연구들은 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 먼저 에너지-IT융합 시 유망산업과 육성분야를 선정 및 평가할 때 사용할 핵심선정요인들을 도출하였다. 이 요인들을 사용하여 에너지산업과 IT 분야 전문가들의 의견을 ANP 방법론 등을 통해 수렴하고 우선순위를 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과로 산출된 핵심선정요인과 방법론 및 우선순위는 학문뿐만 아니라 산업 정책적 발전에도 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

Magnolol Inhibits LPS-induced NF-${\kappa}B$/Rel Activation by Blocking p38 Kinase in Murine Macrophages

  • This study demonstrates the ability of magnolol, a hydroxylated biphenyl compound isolated from Magnolia officinalis, to inhibit LPS-induced expression of iNOS gene and activation of NF-${\kappa}B$/Rel in RAW 264.7 cells. Immunohisto-chemical staining of iNOS and Western blot analysis showed magnolol to inhibit iNOS gene expression. Reporter gene assay and electrophoretic mobility shift assay showed that magnolol inhibited NF-${\kappa}B$/Rel transcriptional activation and DNA binding, respectively. Since p38 is important in the regulation of iNOS gene expression, we investigated the possibility that magnolol to target p38 for its anti-inflammatory effects. A molecular modeling study proposed a binding position for magnolol that targets the ATP binding site of p38 kinase (3GC7). Direct interaction of magnolol and p38 was further confirmed by pull down assay using magnolol conjugated to Sepharose 4B beads. The specific p38 inhibitor SB203580 abrogated the LPS-induced NF-${\kappa}B$/Rel activation, whereas the selective MEK-1 inhibitor PD98059 did not affect the NF-${\kappa}B$/Rel. Collectively, the results of the series of experiments indicate that magnolol inhibits iNOS gene expression by blocking NF-${\kappa}B$/Rel and p38 kinase signaling.

고품질 콘텐츠 제공환경하에서 인터넷 접속료 책정방안 (Internet Access Charging under High Quality Contents Delivery)

  • 본 연구는 콘텐츠 제공자들이 자사의 콘텐츠를 보다 저렴한 비용과 높은 품질로 제공하기 위하여 이용자들이 가입되어 있는 ISP에게 직접 접속할 수 있는 다양한 기술을 적용할 경우, ISP들이 CP와 인터넷 가입자에게 망 혼잡에 따른 추가적인 접속료를 부과할 수 있다는 모형을 설정하고 분석한다. 이 경우 CP의 시장상황에 따라 ISP가 책정하는 접속료의 수준은 많이 달라질 것이다. CP가 경쟁적인 경우에는 이부제 요금을 적용하고 있는 ISP간 경쟁하에서 접속료는 CP요금과 함께 사회적 최적 상태와 동일하게 결정될 것이지만 CP가 독점적일 경우 ISP는 접속료에 대한 CP 요금 민감도에 따라 접속료 수준을 다르게 책정할 가능성이 있다. CP가 독점적인 경우 규제를 통해 사회후생의 왜곡을 치유할 수 있는데, 사회적 최적 접속료는 CP가 경쟁적인 경우보다 낮은 수준이다. 이는 CP가 독점적이므로 규제에 의해 접속료가 결정되면 그 접속료를 기반으로 CP가 한계비용보다 큰 요금을 결정하기 때문에 규제자는 접속료를 CP가 경쟁적일 때보다 낮게 책정하는 것이 사회후생을 더 증가시키게 된다.

인체 소장상피세포주(HT-29)의 분화단계에 따른 타우린수송체 활성의 변화 (Taurine Transporter Activity in the Human Colon Carcinoma cell Line(HT-29) is Decreased during Cell Differentiation)

  • Previous studies on the effect of age on intestinal taurine transport in animals have invariably shown a decline in the activity of the transport system with increasing age. In the present study changes in taurine transporter activity were observed during cell differentiation in the human colon carcinoma cell line HT-29 This cell line exhibits various enterocytic characteristics when differentiated and therefore has frequently been used to study the characteristcs and regulation of nutrient and drug absorption in the small intestine at the cellular level. Pre-treatment of the cells with $\beta$-alanine(10mM) reduced the taurine transport activity to 33% of the value for the control cells(p<0.05) which implies that taurine and $\beta$-alanine share a common $\beta$-amino acid transport system for their celluar uptake in the HI-29 was continued until 21 days post seeding. Kinetic studies of the taurine transporter were conducted in the HT-29 cell line with varying taurine concentration(5-60$\mu$M) in the uptake medium Both Vmax and the Michaelis-Menten constant(Km) of taurine transporter were decreased as differentiation of the HT-29 cell line was progressed ; Vmax of the taurine transporter in cells incubated for 4, 14 and 21 days post seeding was 2.79$\pm$3.4m 16.89$\pm$1.74, and 0.85$\pm$0.08 and 0.32$\pm$0.01nmol.mg protein-1 .30min-1 respectively(p<0.001) and Km was 42.3$\pm$3.4, 16.89$\pm$1.74, and 11.2$\pm$3.0$\mu$M respectively (p<0.01) These results indicate that the activity of sodium dependent active taurine transport system in the HT-29 cell line is decreased as confluent cells are differentiated. This phenomenon in cell culture system corresponds well with the earlier observation of lower intestinal taurine transport activity in suckling rats compared to that in adult animals although direct relationship of cell differentiation with in vivo aging process needs further verification.

Inhibitory Effect of Ginseng on Breast Cancer Cell Line Growth Via Up-Regulation of Cyclin Dependent Kinase Inhibitor, p21 and p53

  • Objective: Breast cancer is global female health problem worldwide. Most of the currently used agents for breast cancer treatment have toxic side-effects. Ginseng root, an oriental medicine, has many health benefits and may exhibit direct anti-cancer properties. This study was performed to assess the effects of ginseng on breast cancer cell lines. Materials and Methods: Cytotoxicity of ginseng extract was measured by MTT assay after exposure of MDA-MB-231, MCF-10A and MCF-7 breast cancer cells to concentrations of 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 mg/well. Expression levels of p21WAF, p16INK4A, Bcl-2, Bax and P53 genes were analyzed by quantitative real time PCR. Results: The treatment resulted in inhibition of cell proliferation in a dose-and time-dependent manner. p53, p21WAF1and p16INK4A expression levels were up-regulated in ginseng treated MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 cancer cells compared to untreated controls and in MCF-10A cells. The expression levels of Bcl2 in the MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 cells were down-regulated. In contrast, that of Bax was significantly up-regulated. Conclusion: The results of this study revealed that ginseng may inhibit breast cancer cell growth by activation of the apoptotic pathway.

Endothelial Cell Products as a Key Player in Hypoxia-Induced Nerve Cell Injury after Stroke

  • Objective : Activated endothelial cells mediate the cascade of reactions in response to hypoxia for adaptation to the stress. It has been suggested that hypoxia, by itself, without reperfusion, can activate the endothelial cells and initiate complex responses. In this study, we investigated whether hypoxia-induced endothelial products alter the endothelial permeability and have a direct cytotoxic effect on nerve cells. Methods : Hypoxic condition of primary human umbilical vein endothelial cells[HUVEC] was induced by $CoCl_2$ treatment in culture medium. Cell growth was evaluated by 3,4,5-dimethyl thiazole-3,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide [MTT] assay Hypoxia-induced products [$IL-1{\beta},\;TGF-{\beta}1,\;IFN-{\gamma},\;TNF-{\alpha}$, IL-10, IL-6, IL-8, MCP-l and VEGF] were assessed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Endothelial permeability was evaluated by Western blotting. Results : Prolonged hypoxia caused endothelial cells to secrete IL -6, IL -8, MCP-1 and VEGF. However, the levels of IL -1, IL -10, $TNF-{\alpha},\;TGF-{\beta},\;IFN-{\gamma}$ and nitric oxide remained unchanged over 48 h hypoxia. Hypoxic exposure to endothelial cells induced the time-dependent down regulation of the expression of cadherin and catenin protein. The conditioned medium taken from hypoxic HUVECs had the cytotoxic effect selectively on neuroblastoma cells, but not on astroglioma cells. Conclusion : These results suggest the possibility that endothelial cell derived cytokines or other secreted products with the increased endothelial permeability might directly contribute to nerve cell injury followed by hypoxia.

흰쥐 뇌에서의 Lipopolysaccharide-유도 산화적 스트레스에 대한 OQ21과 Melatonin의 작용 (Effect of OQ21 and Melatonin on Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Oxidative Stress in Rat Brain)

  • Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induces synthesis of several inflammatory cytokines and nitric oxide (NO). NO in brain is involved not only in the regulation of important metabolic pathways via intracellular cyclic GMP-dependent path­ways, but also in neurotoxic damage by reacting with superoxide ion leading to form peroxynitrite radical. Oxidative stress has suggested to be related to the inhibition of NO synthase/cyclic GMP pathway. OQ21 is a new fluorinated quinone compound that is recently known to have inhibitory effects on both NO synthase (NOS) and guanylyl cyclase (GC). In this study, we examined effects of OQ21, other known NOS or GC inhibitors, or an antioxidant, melatonin, on the oxidative stress produced by LPS in rat brain. Oxidative stress was observed by using the 2',7'-dichlorofluorescin diacetate to measure intra-cellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and by measuring the formation of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances to measure lipid peroxidation. LPS induced significant increase in both ROS produdction and lipid peroxidation in all brain regions tested (striatum, hippocampus and cortex), which were dissected 6hr after intraperitoneal administration of LPS to rats. Direct striatal injection of two NOS inhibitors, N-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester and diphenyleneiodonium, or a GC inhibitor, IH-[1,2,4]oxadiazolo[4,3-a]quinoxaline-l-one, produced no significant ROS increase. However, OQ21 enhanced ROS formation in striatal tissues from LPS-treated rats. Melatonin decreased LPS-induced ROS formation and decreased ROS formation increased by OQ21 in striatum of LPS-treated rats.

치과기공산업 발전 방안 및 추구해야 할 방안에 관한 인식도 (The recognition of development plan and what to pursue in dental laboratory industry)

  • Purpose: In order to increase competitiveness for the growth and development of the dental laboratory industry, we plan to develop the dental laboratory industry. Methods: A total of 547 questionnaires were used as the final analysis data for the dental technicians from all over country participated in the 51st Korea Dental Technology Expo & Scientific Conference of the Korean Dental Technologist Association held in KINTEX from July 18 to 19, 2015. The questionnaire items consisted of 28 items in terms of general characteristics, questions about the methods to be pursued for the development of the dental laboratory industry, and recognition about the methods to be pursued to develop the dental laboratory industry. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS Ver. 21.0 for windows. Results: To improve the dental laboratory industry, actualization of dental laboratory products fee(41.2%) had the highest, followed by improving treatment of dental technician, standardization of dental laboratory products, direct bill of medical insurance, regulation of contract management on huge capital, and etc. The recognition of the measures to be pursued for the development of the dental laboratory industry was that dental laboratory products fee required to receive more than 20% of the dental prosthesis fee highest($4.62{\pm}0.76$). And to enlarge dental laboratories through M&A between dental laboratories is the lowest($3.39{\pm}1.26$). Conclusion: As a means to pursue the development of the dental laboratory industry, the actualization of dental laboratory products fee was proposed. Recognition also showed that dental laboratory products fee required to receive more than 20% of dental prosthesis fee was the highest. It is important to propose a reasonable dental laboratory products fee because it recognizes that it is necessary to promote economic growth in both development plan and awareness.

아노미(Anomie)적 사회환경과 청소년 범죄: 소셜 미디어를 중심으로 (Anomie Social Environment and Juvenile Delinquency)

  • 사회구조의 변화에 따라 범죄연령의 변화도 발생하며, 범죄종류와 형태도 다양하게 나타나고 있다. 이에 대해 본 논문은 에밀 뒤르껭(E. Durkheim)의 아노미(Anomie) 이론을 접목하여 설명하고 있다. 아노미는 이중규범 또는 규범이 없는 상태를 의미한다. 즉, 기존의 지배적 규범이 약화되면서 새로운 규범이 정립되지 않았을 때 무규범 또는 이중규범 상태가 되어 사회적 혼란 상태를 야기 시킨다고 하는 것이다. 정보통신기술의 발달로 인한 SNS의 보급과 활용은 사회적 규범을 약화시키며 온라인상의 규범은 정립이 미약한 상태이다. 이러한 규범의 혼란 상태에서 청소년 비행은 증가하여 나타나고 있다. 소셜 미디어는 전파성, 개방성, 접근성, 관계성, 콘텐츠다양성 등의 특성을 갖고 있다. 이러한 소셜 미디어는 그 자체가 일종의 유기체처럼 성장하기 때문에 소비와 생산의 일반적인 매커니즘이 적용되지 않고, 양방향성을 활용하여 이용자들이 자발적으로 참여하고 정보를 공유하며 콘텐츠를 만들어 나가는 특성이 있다. 소셜 미디어는 청소년층에서 소통과 정보, 접촉수단으로 자리 잡고 있고, 이에 따른 비행의 접촉율도 높다. 소셜 미디어는 청소년 범죄에 직 간접적으로 영향을 미치고 있으나 이에 대한 제도적 규제도 뚜렷이 없는 실정이다.

도시재생 사업의 매몰비용에 관한 이해집단간의 의식조사 연구 (A Study on the Perception of Stakeholders on Sunken Costs of an Urban Development Project)

  • 본 연구는 현재 사회적 문제가 되고 있는 도시재생 사업의 매몰비용 관련 인식 조사를 목적으로 실시하였다. 조사결과 지방정부, 중앙정부, 정치권, 조합원 및 토지 등 소유자 모두 매몰비용에 관하여 일정부분 책임과 부담 의무의 필요성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 매몰비용에 대한 지원은 어느 하나의 주체에게 책임을 전가하기보다 정비 사업에 참여했던 주체 모두가 함께 책임을 통감하여 문제가 되고 있는 매몰비용의 부담과 해결 방안까지 공유해야하는 것으로 나타났다. 공공은 매몰비용에 대해 직접적인 지원보다는 간접적 지원(기반시설 부담, 세제혜택, 규제기준 완화 등)을 통하여 조합 등이 사업 추진의 지속 여부에 대하여 합리적인 선택을 할 수 있도록 유도하여야 하여야 할 것이다.
