On the Security of Rijndael-like Structures against Differential and Linear Cryptanalysis (Rijndael 유사 구조의 차분 공격과 선형 공격에 대한 안전성에 관한 연구)

  • Rijndael-like structure is the special case of SPN structure. The linear transformation of Rijndael-like structure consisits of linear transformations of two types, the one is byte permutation $\pi$ and the other is linear tranformation $\theta$= ($\theta_1, \theta_2, \theta_3, \theta_4$), where each of $\theta_i$ separately operates on each of the four rows of a state. The block cipher, Rijndael is an example of Rijndael-like structures. In this paper. we present a new method for upper bounding the maximum differential probability and the maximum linear hull probability for Rijndael-like structures.

A full path assessment approach for vibration serviceability and vibration control of footbridges

  • Most of the existing evaluation criteria of vibration serviceability rely on the peak acceleration of the structure rather than that of the people keeping their own body unmoved on the structure who is the real receiver of structural vibrations. In order to accurately assess the vibration serviceability, therefore, a full path assessment approach of vibration serviceability based on vibration source, path and receiver is not only tentatively proposed in this paper, taking the peak acceleration of receiver into account, but also introduce a probability procedure to provide more instructive information instead of a single value. In fact, semi-rigid supported on both sides of the structure is more consistent with the actual situation than simply supported or clamped due to the application of the prefabricated footbridge structures. So, the footbridge is regarded as a beam with semi-rigid supported on both sides in this paper. The differential quadrature-integral quadrature coupled method is not only to handle different type of boundary conditions, but also after being further modified via the introduction of an approximation procedure in this work, the time-varying system problem caused by human-structure interaction can be solved well. The analytical results of numerical simulations demonstrate that the modified differential quadrature-integral quadrature coupled method has higher reliability and accuracy compared with the mode superposition method. What's more, both of the two different passive control measures, the tuned mass damper and semi-rigid supported, have good performance for reducing vibrations. Most importantly, semi-rigid supported is easier to achieve the objective of reducing vibration compared with tuned mass damper in design stage of structure.

  • ATV(All Terrain Vehicle) has been developed to be used for agricultural fields on unpaved roads but now it is mostly used to transport a short distance and play leisure sports at mountains. Recently, main concerns on the automobile industry is developing not only a car safe, high fuel efficient and friendly related with environment but also two-wheeled vehicles. In order to maintain high fuel efficiency and safety of two-wheeled vehicle, it is essential that ATV should be set up differential gear. But we worried for ATV which had been set up differential gear not to run on unpaved roads. Therefore, it is necessary to develop LSD(Limited Slip Differential) that maintains existing advantages of ATV and ensures ATV to travel safely on roads. Now LSD equipped cars have a complicated structure, so setting up on ATV is unsuitable. Therefore, in this study, we have developed simple, small and well operating LSD.

A Study on the Noise.Vibration Characteristics of Differential Gear according to the Materials (차동기어의 재질별 진동.소음 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The noise . vibration characteristics of Hypoid gears which were made from three seperate materials(SCM, TSCM, SNCM) under the identical process were investigated for the sake of durability improvement of differential gear compatible with low level noise gear set. For this study, we developed a rig experimental equipment which can perform close noise.vibration experiment of differential gear. Consequently, we could analyze the noise.vibration characteristics of final reduction gear by materials, and also we observed changes in both metallic structure and hardness according to the materials of pinion gear. In addition to this, the correlation between the vibration of the differential gear and the interior noise of the passenger vehicles was proved by analyzing the results of rig vibration experiment and field noise test.

  • The nth-order, scalar, linear time-varying (LTV) systems can be dealt with operators on a differential ring. Using this differential algebraic structure and a classical result on differential operator factorizaitons developed by Floquet, a novel eigenstructure(eigenvalues, eigenvectors) concepts for linear time0varying systems are proposed. In this paper, Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of well-defined(free of finite-time singularities) SD- and PD- spectra for SPDOs with complex- and real-valued coefficients are also presented. Three numerical examples are presented to illustrate the proposed concepts.

  • Low speed vehicle(LSV), golf carts have unique requirements to differential gear design. For double axle torque LSV differential loading conditions were determined with the help of analytical model and ANSYS finite element analysis. With stress safety factor 3.15, fatigue safety factor 1.08 and fatigue life 106 cycle ring gear teeth strength analysis is performed and structure design optimized. This allows reducing overall cost of differential unit.

  • A Differential line inductor is proposed for a differential power amplifier. The proposed differential line inductor is composed of two conventional line inductors rearranged to make the current direction of the two line inductors identical. The proposed line inductor is simulated with a 2.5-D and a 3-D EM simulator to verify its feasibility with the substrate information in a 0.18-${\mu}m$ RF CMOS process. The inductances of various line inductors implemented with printed circuit boards were measured. The feasibility of the proposed line inductor was successfully demonstrated.

  • In this paper, the relationship between k consecutive outputs of the conventional differential detector and output of differential detector with k-bit delayer MSK and GMSK signal, using a k-bit delay circuit, is the product of k successive output of the conventional differential detector. This relationships are used to generalize the structure of receiver which was proposed by Makrakis using 2-bit delay line. The error rate performance of the proposed method is carried out by computer simulation and significant performance improvement is achieved for differential MSK and GMSK system.

  • The differential power processor (DPP) system is used to prevent a decrease in the total power generation due to the partial shading of photovoltaic modules. Compared with traditional series strings and full power processing (FPP) converter solutions, the DPP converter system shows advantages in terms of modularization process, volume, and transformation losses. However, the system has a limitation in that the power generation process of differential power processors produces lower power under certain irradiation conditions. This paper proposes a structure and operating algorithm for differential power processing modules that can use a single power converter for multiple strings. The operational algorithm for the differential power regulators allows the maximum power generation to be maintained in comparison with conventional series-connected and differential power processing methods even under various partial shading conditions. The operation algorithm of the proposed DPP is verified by Matlab/Simulink simulations.

Performance of differential Space-time Block Coded MIMO System using Cyclic Delay Diversity

  • Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system can increase data rate, capacity and bit error rate (BER) performance compare to traditional single antenna system. However MIMO technique is pointed out the problem that has high complexity to design receiver. So a recent trend of research on the MIMO system pays more attention to simplified implementation of receiver structure. In this paper, we propose differential space time block code (STBC) for MIMO system with cyclic delay diversity (CDD). This structure can provide a very close performance to that of the conventional diversity scheme with maximum likelihood (ML) detection without channel estimation block while the receiver structure is highly simplified. Bit error rate (BER) performance of the proposed system is simulated for an AWGN channel by theoretical and simulated approaches. The results of this paper can be applicable to the 4G mobile multimedia communication systems.
