Nowadays, there is a high demand for great structural implementation and multifunctionality with excellent mechanical properties. The porous structures reinforced by graphene platelets (GPLs) having valuable properties, such as heat resistance, lightweight, and excellent energy absorption, have been considerably used in different engineering implementations. However, stiffness of porous structures reduces significantly, due to the internal cavities, by adding GPLs into porous medium, effective mechanical properties of the porous structure considerably enhance. This paper is relating to vibration analysis of fluidconveying cantilever porous graphene platelet reinforced (GPLR) pipe with fractional viscoelastic model resting on foundations. A dynamical model of cantilever porous GPLR pipes conveying fluid and resting on a foundation is proposed, and the vibration, natural frequencies and primary resonant of such a system are explored. The pipe body is considered to be composed of GPLR viscoelastic polymeric pipe with porosity in which Halpin-Tsai scheme in conjunction with the fractional viscoelastic model is used to govern the construction relation of nanocomposite pipe. Three different porosity distributions through the pipe thickness are introduced. The harmonic concentrated force is also applied to the pipe and the excitation frequency is close to the first natural frequency. The governing equation for transverse motions of the pipe is derived by the Hamilton principle and then discretized by the Galerkin procedure. In order to obtain the frequency-response equation, the differential equation is solved with the assumption of small displacement, damping coefficient, and excitation amplitude by the multiple scale method. A parametric sensitivity analysis is carried out to reveal the influence of different parameters, such as nanocomposite pipe properties, fluid velocity and nonlinear viscoelastic foundation coefficients, on the primary resonance and linear natural frequency. Results indicate that the GPLs weight fraction porosity coefficient, fractional derivative order and the retardation time have substantial influences on the dynamic response of the system.
This paper is motivated by the lack of studies relating to vibration and nonlinear resonance of fluid-conveying cantilever porous GPLR pipes with fractional viscoelastic model resting on nonlinear foundations. [ $Interferon-\gamma$ ] has been suggested as a cytokine of connective tissue stabilizer. In addition, it has also been demonstrated that this cytokine inhibited bone remodeling activities of the bone derived cells. In order to illuminate the effects of this cytokine in orthodontic force induced bone remodeling, it was administered to primary cultured periodontal ligament cells which have been known to have some osteoblast like characteristics. $Interferon-\gamma$ slightly decreased $[^3H]thymidine$ incorporation rate without a significant change in the total cellular DNA content up to 1000 U/ml, which meant these doses were not cytotoxic to the cell. Total protein synthesis was not influenced by various concentration of interferon-y whether it was determined by the $[^3H]proline$ incorporation rate or by the Lowry smethod. The effect of $interferon-\gamma$ on the individual protein was, however, differential, ie, it increased $[^3H]proline$ incorporation into the noncollagenous protein marginally, while it decreased $[^3H]proline$ incorporation into the collagen, so that it caused dose-dependent suppression of the relative collagen synthesis. On the contrary, the fibronectin synthesis determined by the ELISA was increased by 1000 U/ml of $interferon-\gamma$. The differential effects of the interferon-y on the collagen and fibronectin synthesis exhibited not only their protein level but also the steady state mRNA level. $Interferon-\gamma$ decreased steady state level of ${\alpha}1(I)$ procollagen mRNA significantly, while showing no significant changes in the fibronectin mRNA level. In addition to this, it was also found that indomethacin did not affect on the $interferon-\gamma$ induced collagen decrease in this cell, which meant prostaglandins were not involed in the process of $interferon-\gamma$ induced collagen decrease. So it can be concluded that the incubation of periodontal ligament cells with 1000 U/ml of $interferon-\gamma$ for 24 hr showed differential effects on the type I collagen and fibronectin gene expression. The decrease in relative collagen synthesis in the protein level was related with decrease in the steady state level of mRNA, while the increase in the fibronectin synthesis in the protein level was not correlated with the mRNA level.

Tunnelling in urban areas, it is essential to understand existing structure-tunnel interactive behavior. Serviced structures in the city are supported by pile foundation, since they are certainly effected due to tunnelling. In this research, thus, pile load distribution and ground behavior due to tunnelling below grouped pile were investigated using laboratory model test. Grouped pile foundations were considered as 2, 3 row pile and offsets (between pile tip and tunnel crown: 0.5D, 1.0D and 1.5D for generalization to tunnel diameter, D means tunnel diameter). Soil in the tank for laboratory model test was formed by loose sand (relative density: Dr = 30%) and strain gauges were attached to the pile inner shaft to estimate distribution of axial force. Also, settlements of grouped pile and adjacent ground surface depending on the offsets were measured by LVDT and dial gauge, respectively. Tunnelling-induced deformation of underground was measured by close range photogrammetric technique. Numerical analysis was conducted to analyze and compare with results from laboratory model test and close range photogrammetry. For expression of tunnel excavation, the concept of volume loss was applied in this study, it was 1.5%. As a result from this study, far offset, the smaller reduction of pile axial load and was appeared trend of settlement was similar among them. Particulary, ratio of pile load and settlement reduction were larger when the offset is from 0.5D to 1.0D than from 1.0D to 1.5D.

Improved numerical method to obtain the exact stiffness matrices is newly proposed to perform the spatially coupled elastic and stability analyses of non-symmetric and open/closed thin-walled beam on elastic foundation. This method overcomes drawbacks of the previous method to evaluate the exact stiffness matrix for the spatially coupled stability analysis of thin-walled beam-column This numerical technique is accomplished via a generalized eigenproblem associated with 14 displacement parameters by transforming equilibrium equations to a set of first order simultaneous ordinary differential equations. Next polynomial expressions as trial solutions are assumed for displacement parameters corresponding to zero eigenvalues and the eigenmodes containing undetermined parameters equal to the number of zero eigenvalues are determined by invoking the identity condition. And then the exact displacement functions are constructed by combining eigensolutions and polynomial solutions corresponding to non-zero and zero eigenvalues, respectively. Consequently an exact stiffness matrix is evaluated by applying the member force-deformation relationships to these displacement functions. In order to illustrate the accuracy and the practical usefulness of this study, the numerical solutions are compared with results obtained from the thin-walled beam and shell elements.
This paper presents dynamic modelling of a virtual object in augmented reality environments when external forces are applied to the object in real-time fashion. In order to simulate a natural behavior of the object we employ the theory of Newtonian physics to construct motion equation of the object according to the varying external forces applied to the AR object. In dynamic modelling process, the physical interaction is taken placed between the augmented object and the physical object such as a haptic input device and the external forces are transferred to the object. The intrinsic properties of the augmented object are either rigid or elastically deformable (non-rigid) model. In case of the rigid object, the dynamic motion of the object is simulated when the augmented object is collided with by the haptic stick by considering linear momentum or angular momentum. In the case of the non-rigid object, the physics-based simulation approach is adopted since the elastically deformable models respond in a natural way to the external or internal forces and constraints. Depending on the characteristics of force caused by a user through a haptic interface and model's intrinsic properties, the virtual elastic object in AR is deformed naturally. In the simulation, we exploit standard mass-spring damper differential equation so called Newton's second law of motion to model deformable objects. From the experiments, we can successfully visualize the behavior of a virtual objects in AR based on the theorem of physics when the haptic device interact with the rigid or non-rigid virtual object.

The integrity of the industrial equipment in use under high temperature and high pressure must be assessed by regularly measuring the degraded mechanical properties during service time. In order to nondestructively monitor the degraded mechanical properties of industrial equipment, a measuring method of the reversible permeability(RP) using surface type probe is presented. The method for measuring the RP is based on that RP is the differential value of hysteresis loop. The RP is exactly the foundation hatmonics induced in a detecting coil measured by lock-in amplifier tuned to a frequency of the alternating perturbing magnetic field. The peak of RP is measured around the coercive force. Steel material used in this work was 12Cr ferritic heat resisting steel. The eleven kinds of samples aged during different times under same temperature ($700^{\circ}C$) were prepared. Peak interval of reversible permeability(PIRP), Vickers hardness, and tensile strength measured for the aged samples decreased abruptly for short aging time (below 500 h), but the change became small at a long aging time. Vickers hardness and tensile strength linearly decreased as RIRP decreased, so the degraded mechanical properties of 12Cr ferritic heat resisting steel could be nondestructively evaluated by measuring RIRP.

Elastic deformation and fatigue damage can cause the permanent deformation of a kart's frame during turning, affecting the kart's driving performance. A kart's frame does not contain any suspension or differential devices and, therefore, the dynamic behavior caused by torsional deformation when driving along a curve can strongly affect these two kinds of deformations. To analyze the dynamic behavior of a kart along a curved section, the GPS trajectory of the kart is obtained and the torsional stress acting on the kart-frame is measured in real time. The mechanical properties of leisure and racing karts are investigated by analyzing their material properties and conducting a tensile test. The torsional stress concentration and frame distortion are investigated through a stress analysis of the frame on the basis of the obtained results. Leisure and racing karts are tested in each driving condition using driving analysis equipment. The behavior of a kart when being driven along a curved section is investigated through this test. Because load movement occurs owing to centrifugal force when driving along a curve, torsional stress acts on the kart's steel frame. In the case of a leisure kart, the maximum torsional stress derived from the torsional fatigue limit was found to be 230 MPa, and the torsional fatigue limit coefficient was 0.65 when driving at a speed of 40 km/h. Furthermore, the driving elements during the cornering of a kart were measured based on an actual auto-test after installing a driving measurement system, and the driving behavior of the kart was analyzed by measuring its vertical displacement.

An inorganic binder is eco-friendly because it can be cured at low temperatures and does not emit harmful gases. In addition, related research is progressing rapidly owing to the small defects in the core. On the other hand, inorganic binders based on silicates (SiO2-Na2O) have unique absorbent properties. This results in the absorption of moisture from the air and the weakening of the bonding force. In particular, the castings used in cast steel require high-strength properties because of the higher temperatures than aluminum castings. In this study, waxes containing ester groups were selected to improve the absorption of moisture of inorganic binders. The inorganic binder was characterized by X-ray fluorescence and thermogravimetric analysis-differential thermal analysis. The inorganic binder core strength was then evaluated. In the case of an inorganic binder containing wax, the water resistance increased to 216 N/㎠, confirming the up to 55% improvement in strength. Excellent casting characteristics were confirmed through steel castings.
This study was conducted to identify marbling-related candidate genes in M. longissimus dorsi of high- and low-marbled Hanwoo. The longissimus dorsi muscles were selected for gene expression from eight Hanwoo steer carcasses based on crude fat content. In the analysis of variance, gene expression of five candidate genes, FABP4, SCD, $PPAR\gamma$, Titin and Nebulin was determined to be significantly different between high- and low-marbled Hanwoo steers (P < 0.0001). The Pik-4 and CaMK II genes were also shown to have a significant effect on crude fat content (P < 0.01). In the analysis of the differential expression between high- and low marbled groups, FABP4 gene expression was approximately 2 times higher in the high marbled group relative to the low marbled group. However, the $PPAR\gamma$ and SCD gene were highly expressed in the low marbled group. In addition, Titin and Nebulin were highly expressed in the low marbled group when placed under relatively high shear force. Finally, the Pik-4 and CaM K II gene also displayed a high expression pattern in the low marbled group.
