자기 회귀 웨이블릿 신경 회로망을 이용한 비선형 혼돈 시계열의 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of the Nonlinear Chaotic Time Series Using a Self-Recurrent Wavelet Neural Network)

  • Unlike the wavelet neural network, since a mother wavelet layer of the self-recurrent wavelet neural network (SRWNN) is composed of self-feedback neurons, it has the ability to store past information of the wavelet. Therefore we propose the prediction method for the nonlinear chaotic time series model using a SRWNN. The SRWNN model is learned for the modeling of a function such that the inputs arc known values of the time series and the output is the value in the future. The parameters of the network are tuned to minimize the difference between the nonlinear mapping of the chaotic time series and the output of SRWNN using the gradient-descent method for the adaptive backpropagation algorithm. Through the computer simulations, we demonstrate the feasibility and the effectiveness of our method for the prediction of the logistic map and the Mackey-Glass delay-differential equation as a nonlinear chaotic time series.

Mechanistic insights into differential requirement of receptor dimerization for oncogenic activation of mutant EGFR and its clinical perspective

  • The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), a member of the ErbB family (EGFR, ErbB2, ErbB3 and ErbB4), plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular responses such as proliferation, differentiation, and survival. As a result, aberrant activation of EGFR, mostly mediated through different classes of genomic alterations occurring within EGFR, is closely associated with the pathogenesis of numerous human cancers including lung adenocarcinoma, glioblastoma, and colorectal cancer. Thus, specific suppression of oncogenic activity of mutant EGFR with its targeted drugs has been routinely used in the clinic as a very effective anti-cancer strategy in treating a subset of tumors driven by such oncogenic EGFR mutants. However, the clinical efficacy of EGFR-targeted therapy does not last long due to several resistance mechanisms that emerge in the patients following the drug treatment. Thus, there is an urgent need for the development of novel therapeutic tactics specifically targeting mutant EGFR with the focus on the unique biological features of various mutant EGFR. Regarding this point, our review specifically emphasizes the recent findings about distinct requirements of receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation, which are critical steps for enzymatic activation of EGFR and signaling cascades, respectively, among wildtype and mutant EGFR and further discuss their clinical significance. In addition, the molecular mechanisms regulating EGFR dimerization and enzymatic activity by a key negative feedback inhibitor Mig6 as well as the clinical use for developing potential novel drugs targeting it are described in this review.

A Low-Voltage Low-Power Opamp-Less 8-bit 1-MS/s Pipelined ADC in 90-nm CMOS Technology

  • This paper presents an 8-bit pipelined analog-to-digital converter. The supply voltage applied for comparators and other sub-blocks of the ADC were 0.7V and 0.5V, respectively. This low power ADC utilizes the capacitive charge pump technique combined with a source-follower and calibration to resolve the need for the opamp. The differential charge pump technique does not require any common mode feedback circuit. The entire structure of the ADC is based on fully dynamic circuits that enable the design of a very low power ADC. The ADC was designed to operate at 1MS/s in 90nm CMOS process, where simulated results using ADS2011 show the peak SNDR and SFDR of the ADC to be 47.8 dB (7.64 ENOB) and 59 dB respectively. The ADC consumes less than 1mW for all active dynamic and digital circuitries.

고속 저전압 위상 동기 루프(PLL) 설계 (Design of Low voltage High speed Phase Locked Loop)

  • PLL(Phase Locked Loop) are widely used circuit technique in modern electronic systems. In this paper, We propose the low voltage and high speed PLL. We design the PFD(Phase Frequency Detector) by using TSPC (True Single Phase Clock) circuit to improve the performance and solve the dead-zone problem. We use CP(Charge Pump} and LP(Loop filter) for Negative feedback and current reusing in order to solve current mismatch and switch mismatch problem. The VCO(Voltage controlled Oscillator) with 5-stage differential ring oscillator is used to exact output frequency. The divider is implemented by using D-type flip flops asynchronous dividing. The frequency divider has a constant division ratio 32. The frequency range of VCO has from 200MHz to 1.1GHz and have 1.7GHz/v of voltage gain. The proposed PLL is designed by using 0.18um CMOS processor with 1.8V supply voltage. Oscillator's input frequency is 25MHz, VCO output frequency is 800MHz and lock time is 5us. It is evaluated by using cadence spectra RF tools.

  • 본 연구에서는 복사강도를 반구에 대하여 적분하여 비정상 미분방정식의 형태로 로 얻어지는 2-유속 회매질복사모델을 사용하여 복사전달방정식을 구성하고, 전술한 Yoshizawa 등의 가정을 배제하면서, 다공매질의 물리적 길이, 흡수계수 및 혼합기체의 당량비(equivalenceratio) 등을 변화시킴으로써 매질 내의 열적 구조를 분석하여 그들의 의 연구를 확장, 해석한다.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine psychological empowerment and awareness and performance of Healthcare-Associated Infections(HAIs) control among Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses. Method: The data for this study were collected using structured questionnaires from 178 nurses working in the ICUs of four hospitals with more than 500 beds. Results: The subjects'psychological empowerment, awareness and performance of HAIs control were mean over. The subjects'psychological empowerment showed statistically significant differences depending on age, marital status, academic background, clinical career, ICU career, and position and experience in infection control among their general characteristics. Awareness of HAIs control showed statistically significant differences depending on age, gender, marital status, clinical career, and ICU career. Performance showed statistically significant differences depending on age, gender, marital status, and, ICU career. Regarding the subjects' performance of HAIs control, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between psychological empowerment and awareness. Conclusion: It was found that it is necessary to strengthen differential customized training according to the subjects'characteristics for effective HAIs control, and to strengthen the nurses'awareness of HAIs control through systematic evaluation, monitoring, and feedback, as well as continuous education and training.

1-Bit Interpolation을 이용한 Per-Channel CPCM부호화방식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Per-Channel CPCM Method by means of the 1-Bit Interpolation)

  • 본 논문에서는 A/D, D/A 변환의 한 방식인 1-bit interpolation 방법을 개선, 보완한 1-bit interpolation per-channel u-law companding PCM변환방법을 제시하고 실험회로를 구성하여 이의 동작을 확인하였다. 실험회로는 시중에서 입수하기 수월한 소자들인 TTl, logic IC 및 741 OP Amp 등으로 구성하였다. 실험결과로서는 40dB에 걸친 입력 dynamic range와 40dB 이상의 출력 dynamic range를 얻을 수 있었다. 본 논문에서 제시한 per-channel A/D, D/A변환기는 현용의 공통 codec의 단점을 충분히 보완시킬 수 있을 뿐 아니라 다중화에 있어서도 상당한 잇점을 지니고 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 자기부상 시스템에서 널리 채용되고 있는 흡인식 자기부상 시스템의 제어특성을 개선하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 흡인식 자기부상 시스템은 그 특성 상 제어계의 불안정성을 내재하고 있기 때문에 일반적으로 산업현장에서 널리 사용되는 비례적분제어방식(PI)이 아닌 비례적분미분제어방식(PID)을 이용하여 제어 시스템을 구성한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 PID 제어방식의 제어특성을 개선하기 위하여 외란관측자를 이용한 제어기를 제안 하였으며 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 그 특성을 확인하였다.

40MHz에서 1.6 dB 최소잡음지수를 얻는 잡음소거 기술에 근거한 광대역 저항성 LNA (Wideband Resistive LNA based on Noise-Cancellation Technique Achieving Minimum NF of 1.6 dB for 40MHz)

  • This Paper presents a resistive wideband fully differential low-noise amplifier (LNA) designed using a noise-cancellation technique for TV tuner applications. The front-end of the LNA employs a cascode common-gate (CG) configuration, and cross-coupled local feedback is employed between the CG and common-source (CS) stages. The moderate gain at the source of the cascode transistor in the CS stage is utilized to boost the transconductance of the cascode CG stage. This produces higher gain and lower noise figure (NF) than a conventional LNA with inductor. The NF can be further optimized by adjusting the local open-loop gain, thereby distributing the power consumption among the transistors and resistors. Finally, an optimized DC gain is obtained by designing the output resistive network. The proposed LNA, designed in SK Hynix 180 nm CMOS, exhibits improved linearity with a voltage gain of 10.7 dB, and minimum NF of 1.6-1.9 dB over a signal bandwidth of 40 MHz to 1 GHz.

액티브 광케이블용 4-채널 2.5-Gb/s/ch CMOS 광 수신기 어레이 (4-Channel 2.5-Gb/s/ch CMOS Optical Receiver Array for Active Optical HDMI Cables)

  • 본 논문에서는 0.18um CMOS(1P4M) 공정을 이용하여 HDMI용 액티브 광케이블에 적합한 채널당 2.5-Gb/s의 동작 속도를 갖는 광 수신기를 구현하였다. 광 수신기는 차동 증폭구조를 가지는 트랜스임피던스 증폭기, 5개의 증폭단을 갖는 리미팅 증폭기, 출력 버퍼단으로 구성된다. 트랜스임피던스 증폭기는 피드백 저항을 가진 인버터 입력구조로 구현함으로써 낮은 잡음지수와 작은 전력소모를 갖도록 설계하였다. 연이은 차동구조 증폭기 및 출력 버퍼단을 통해 전체 전압이득을 증가하였고, 리미팅 증폭단과의 연동을 용이하게 했다. 리미팅 증폭기는 다섯 단의 증폭단과 출력 버퍼단, 옵셋 제거 회로단으로 이루어져 있다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안한 광 수신기는 $91dB{\Omega}$ 트랜스임피던스 이득, 1.55 GHz 대역폭(입력단 0.32 pF의 포토다이오드 커패시턴스 포함), 16 pA/sqrt(Hz) 평균 잡음 전류 스펙트럼 밀도, 및 -21.6 dBm 민감도 ($10^{-12}$ BER)를 갖는다. 또한, DC 시뮬레이션 결과, 1.8-V의 전원전압에서 총 40 mW의 전력을 소모한다. 제작한 칩은 패드를 포함하여 $1.35{\times}2.46mm^2$의 면적을 갖는다. optical eye-diagram 측정 결과, 2.5-Gb/s 동작속도에서 크고 깨끗한 eye-diagram을 보인다.
