  • We show that two concepts of h-stability and h-stability in variation for nonlinear difference systems are equivalent by using the concept of $n_{\infty}$-summable similarity of their associated variational systems. Also, we study h-stability for perturbed non-linear system y(n+1) =f(n,y(n)) + g(n,y(n), Sy(n)) of nonlinear difference system x(n+1) =f(n,x(n)) using the comparison principle and extended discrete Bihari-type inequality.

  • In this study, a visual sensor system which can detect I-butt weld joint with height variation and includes a seam tracking algorithm was investigated. Three-dimensional position of an object can be acquired by using the method of distance measurement, i.e., an optical trigonometry which results from the spatial relations between the camera, the object and the structured light by a visible laser. Effects of laser intensity and iris number for the image quality as well as object material were investigated for the optical system design. For the image processing, a region of interest is defined from the whole image and a line image of laser is drew by using the gray level difference in the image. From the drew laser line, the weld joint can be recognized in searching the biggest point position calculated from the central difference method. Through a series of welding experiments, a good tracking performance was confirmed under GMA welding.

  • In order to use the natural thermal energy as much as possible for greenhouse heating, the air-air heat pump system involved PCM(phase change material) latent heat storage system was composed, and three types of greenhouse heating system(greenhouse system, greenhouse-PCM latent heat storage system, greenhouse-PCM latent heat storage-heat pump system) were recomposed from the greenhouse heating units to analyze the heating characteristics. The results could be concluded as follows; 1) In the greenhouse heated by the heat pump under the solar radiation of 406.39W/$m^2$, the maximum PCM temperature in the latent heat storage system was 24$^{\circ}C$ and the accumulated thermal energy stored in PCM mass of 816kg during the daytime was 100,320kJ. In the greenhouse without heat pump under the maximum solar radiation of 452.83W/$m^2$, the maximum PCM temperature in the latent heat storage system was 22$^{\circ}C$ and the accumulated thermal energy stored during the daytime was 52.250kJ. 2) In the greenhouse-PCM system without heat pump the heat stored in soil layers from the surface to 30cm of the soil depth was 450㎉/$m^2$. 3) In all of the greenhouse heating systems, the difference between the air temperature in greenhouse and the ambient temperature was about 20~23$^{\circ}C$ in the daytime. In the greenhouse without heat pump and PCM latent heat storage system the difference between the ambient temperature and the air temperature in the greenhouse was about 6~7$^{\circ}C$ in the nighttime, in the greenhouse with only PCM latent heat storage system the temperature difference about 7~13$^{\circ}C$ in the nighttime and in the greenhouse with the heat pump and PCM latent heat storage system about 9~14$^{\circ}C$ in the nighttime.

  • In the present paper, by generalizing the definition of the zero-difference balanced (ZDB) function to be the G-ZDB function, several classes of G-ZDB functions are constructed based on properties of cyclotomic numbers. Furthermore, some special constant composition codes are obtained directly from G-ZDB functions.

  • A linearized finite-difference scheme is used to transform the initial/boundary-value problem associated with the nonlinear Schrodinger equation into a linear algebraic system. This method is developed by replacing the time and the nonlinear term by an appropriate parametric linearized scheme based on Taylor’s expansion. The resulting finite-difference method is analysed for stability and convergence. The results of a number of numerical experiments for the single-soliton wave are given.

  • A generalized finite difference method for solving solid mechanics problems such as elasticity and crack problems is presented. The method is constructed in framework of Taylor polynomial based on the Moving Least Squares method and collocation scheme based on the diffuse derivative approximation. The governing equations are discretized into the difference equations and the nodal solutions are obtained by solving the system of equations. Numerical examples successfully demonstrate the robustness and efficiency of the proposed method.

  • The efficiency and robustness of the scale estimator based on the Gini's mean difference are well known in Nam et al.(2000). In this paper we propose use of robust control limits based on the Gini's mean difference for the control of the process deviation. To compare the performances of the proposed control chart with the existing R-chart or S-chart, some Monte Carlo simulations are performed. The simulation results show that the use of the Gini's mean difference in construction of the control limits has good performance.

  • Mittag-Leffler stability of nonlinear fractional nabla difference systems is defined and the Lyapunov direct method is employed to provide sufficient conditions for Mittag-Leffler stability of, and in some cases the stability of, the zero solution of a system nonlinear fractional nabla difference equations. For this purpose, we obtain several properties of the exponential and one parameter Mittag-Leffler functions of fractional nabla calculus. Two examples are provided to illustrate the applicability of established results.

  • In view of Nevanlinna theory, we investigate the meromorphic solutions of q-difference differential equations and our results give the estimates about counting function and proximity function of meromorphic solutions to these equations. In addition, some interesting results are obtained for two general equations and a class of system of q-difference differential equations.
