1. This experiment was made for a comparable test of five different chemicals on control effects of mulberry die back disease from the autum of 1967 to that of 1968. These chemicals were EMP, PMF, lime sulfur, chlon, and PMA. 2. The experiment showed the EMP and PMF were the best chemicals among those for controling it, and the others no significance comparing with the control. 3. The best way was a twice sprang of 150$\ell$ EMP(1/1500 con.) per 10ar to the base of branches to the full extent through september and october.
In 2015, symptoms of die-back on Rosa hybrida were observed in Taean, Korea. The aims of this study were to determine the cause of die-back on Rosa hybrida and characterize the pathogen. The fungal isolates were obtained and used for pathogenicity test, morphological and molecular analyses. The pathogenicity test on healthy branches of Rosa hybrida produced die-back, as the original symptoms. For the morphological study, the isolates were inoculated onto potato dextrose agar and incubated for 7 days at $25^{\circ}C$. The colonies grew up quickly and turned white to gray in color. Conidia were observed under an optical microscope. The features of conidia were ellipsoidal, grayish brown in color, $20-31{\times}11-17{\mu}m$ in size and had one septum. Molecular analyses of the ITS region, TEF and TUB genes were conducted to confirm the identity of the pathogen. The phylogenetic tree of the multi-gene sequences indicated that the causal agent was Lasiodiplodia pseudotheobromae. This study is the first report of die-back caused by Lasiodiplodia pseudotheobromae on Rose (Rosa hybrida).
Our study investigated the available chlorine content, contact time and difference among strains of each pathogen for sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) to control chemically against soil-borne fungal pathogens, such as Phytophthora rot by Phytophthora cactorum, violet root rot by Helicobasidium mompa, and white root rot by Rosellinia necatrix, causing die-back symptom on apple trees. As a result, the colony growth of Phytophthora cactorum was inhibited completely by soaking over 5 s in 31.25 ml/l available chlorine content of NaOCl. Those of H. mompa and R. necatrix were inhibited entirely by soaking over 160 s in 62.5 and 125 ml/l available chlorine content in NaOCl, respectively. Also, inhibition effect on available chlorine in NaOCl among strains of each soil-borne pathogen showed no significant difference and was similar to or better than that of fungicides.

Soilborne diseases pose a serious problem for mulberry cultivation during nursery plantation and established gardens, which cause severe loss in revenue generation of mulberry growers as compared to foliar diseases. Various soilborne diseases affect mulberry. Among them, root knot and root rot affect the established plantation resulting in severe loss in leaf yield apart from deterioration in leaf quality, which is a pre-requisite in successful sericulture to get the good quality of cocoons. Besides, stem-canker, cutting rot, collar rot and die-back, affect the initial establishment and survivability of mulberry plantation in nursery. The problem is difficult to handle, due to the complex nature of the diseases and also involvement of various biotic and abiotic factors. This is compounded by the occurrence of disease complex (especially nematode + soilborne pathogenic microbes) in established mulberry gardens, which facilitates quick spread of the disease and enhance the plant mortality, resulting substantial loss in leaf yield. Therefore, prevention and timely control measures need to be taken up to protect the mulberry plants from different soilborne plant pathogens. In this review article, symptomatology, epidemiology, disease cycle and control measures of soilborne diseases of mulberry are discussed.

Work to repeat the work using the tool since many occupational diseases such as musculoskeletal disorders, such as occupational low back pain is increasing. To solve this problem, previous(or existing) studies for improving the environment of construction workers are working, but the previous study was lack of approach that applied to condition of construction field. Thus, the objective of this paper will analysis the Correlation of musculoskeletal disease which is caused by Working Hand and Working Type for workers. The results of this Research through a die to improve the work environment of workers and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in order to prepare is to provide basic data.
Ceratocystis wilt disease has caused significant mortality in duku (Lansium domesticum) since 2014 and has now spread to all districts in South Sumatra, Indonesia. Recently, 16 isolates from duku representing populations from various districts in South Sumatra were isolated. Analysis for the morphological characteristic of the isolate showed that the population has a uniform morphology. Genetic analysis based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and β-tubulin sequences verified that the population has being dominated by the ITS5 haplotype of Ceratocystis fimbriata and a new ITS group, the ITS7b haplotype that was localized in Musi Banyuasin. Both haplotypes were highly pathogenic to duku. Inoculation tests on various forest and agroforestry plant hosts showed that both haplotypes were highly pathogenic to Acacia mangium, moderately pathogenic to Acacia carsicarpa, Eucalyptus urophylla, and Melaleuca cajuputi, but weakly pathogenic to Dyera costulata, Hevea brasiliensis, and Alstonia scholaris. Therefore, this pathogen becomes a serious threat to Indonesia's biodiversity due to its ability to infect forest and agroforestry plants, especially the indigenous ones.
The previous study showed that die-back of apple trees caused by soil-borne diseases was significantly high in the apple orchards in Chungbuk province. The correlation between dieback ratio and cultivation environment in apple orchards infected by soil-borne diseases was investigated in this study. The dieback ratio of five orchards diseased by violet root rot and five places infected by white root rot showed significantly positive correlation with Ca content and available $P_2O_5$ content in soil, respectively. Whereas, the dieback ratio of fourteen orchards diseased by Phytophthora root rot was not significant. Subgrouping of cultivation environment analysis showed that the slope degree of orchard and the number of fruit setting also affected the dieback ratio caused by violet root rot and Ca content in soil also affected the dieback ratio caused by white root rot. It showed that the slope degree, soil texture, Mg and Ca content affected the dieback ratio caused by Phytophthora root rot. These results can be applied to reduce die-back ratio by the modification cultivation environment for each soil-borne disease.
Background: Lumbar joint dysfunction is reported to be the main cause of lower back pain (LBP). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of joint dysfunction on the postural balance of the lower hack and pelvis in different normal activities such as walking or stair management. Also it was studied whether the status of LBP (intensity and duration of LBP, length of treatment) contributes to die pelvic height difference (PHD) in various postures. Subjects: 28 patients with LBP and 32 normal adult volunteers, 60 years of age or younger, who came to the Community Health Center and orthopedic clinics in Incheon, South Korea. Methods: In order to determine the accuracy of the manual angulometer method in measuring the PHD, it was compared to the pelvic x-ray method in selected subjects. In the manual angulometer method, the arm of the angulometer was placed on the top of both iliac crests. The PHD was measured in static upright stance, then one-legged stance, on the affected leg or unaffected leg each time. Information regarding the disease status was obtained through interviews. Visual assessment scale was used to grade the intensity of LBP. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 10.0/PC program. Homogeneity between the two groups was tested by 2-test and t-test. To compare the PHD of the subgroups, we used t-test, F-test and two-way ANOVA. Relationships among dependent variables were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Conclusion: In patients with LBP, lumbar joint dysfunction causes lumbar and pelvic postural asymmetry during normal activities.

Corky root symptoms caused by Pyrenochaeta lycopersici were observed on the roots and stem base of tomato plants in Korea. Symptoms on infected plants typically appeared as stunting and generally lacking vigor, and infected plants die back from the foliage tips after fruits have set. Brown lesions appearing with bands around the roots were characteristic symptoms of the disease. The lesions become swollen and cracked along the length of the root with corky appearance. Based on cultural and morphological characteristics, the fungus from the diseased plants was identified as Pyrenochaeta lycopersici. Pycnidia were solitary, globose to subglobose, brown to black, darker around the neck region, and measured 173-215 $\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter with septate setae up to 102-132$\times$6.5 $\mu\textrm{m}$. Conidia were hyaline, unicellular, and 4.2-4.7$\times$l.5-2.0 $\mu\textrm{m}$ long. Optimum temperature for mycelial growth of the p. lycopersici isolates ranged from $20^{\circ}C$ to $25^{\circ}C$. Fifteen isolates off lycopersici were tested for pathogenicity to susceptible and tolerant cultivars of tomato plants by artificial inoculation. Three isolates of P. lycopersici induced typical corky root discoloration on susceptible tomato cultivars but not on tolerant tomato. This is the Erst report in Korea of tomato corky root disease caused by P. lycopersici.
The Yongcheonppong was cultured in the form of a dense mulberry field coverd with polyethylene film and was tested in Suwon and Chunchon. The agronomic characteristic and some consideration on the result of the silkworm rearing were as follows. The Yongcheonppong was the medium budding variety and was longer in length of young shoots than the Kaeryangppong. The Yongcheonppong was higher in leaf yield in spring than the Kaeryangppong and was lower in leaf yield in autumn than the Kaeryangppong to the contrary. The Yongcheonppong was a little higher in the number of branches and was longer in the length of the branch than the Kaeryangppong and so was appropriate for rearing with mulberry shoots. Yongcheonppong was more resistant to twig blight and die-back and was a little susceptible to dwarf disease. As the Yongcheonppong was most resistant to the freezing injury, it was appropriate for the cold region and enabled the farmers to rear some amount of silkworms every year. In Chunchon, The Yongcheonppong increased by 11% in cocoon yield than the Kaeryangppong when the freezing injury occurred 1 year out of 2 years and produced about the same as the Kaeryangppong in cocoon yield when the freezing injury occurred 1 year out of 3 years.
