Information Literacy Program is a new important theme in librarianship, especially in university library. The purpose of this study is to give an overview of information literacy program, its meaning, and its importance to information society. This study was conducted to investigate the gender-related effects of two instructional programs on spatial visualization skills of ninth grade students. Two instructional programs were developed for this study: a web-based virtual reality program and a paper-based program. 194 ninth graders from two middle schools in Seoul participated in this study. Six classes were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The Middle Grades Mathematics Projects (MGMP) Spatial Visualization Test was used to measure spatial visualization skills. The data analysis indicated that both the web-based and paper-based programs were effective to improve spatial visualization skills to treatment groups. Although boys'test mean scores were higher than girls' in the pretest, when deleting the effect of covariance of pretest, there were no statistical significance in the post-test. Girls in the treatment groups favored the paper-based spatial visualization program. These results imply that spatial training may benefit girls' performance more than that of boys and mode of instructional programs can create gender-related differences regarding spatial visualization skills.

The study is about practical use of the computer program developed to obtain more efficient and accurate photographic measurement of body. Measuring measurements automatically using this program, the observational errors can be reduced considerably, so that the accuracy of photographic measurement are improved. The program has several functions as follow; First, free rotation of body by horizontal and perpendicular control of photo data. Second, recognition of body outline of photo data and automatic measuring of 45 basic items as well as freehand measuring of height, width, depth, angle. Third, obtaining database of photographic measurements of each subject without additional process such as data input.

A graphic vehicle modeling pre-processing program and a visualization post-processing program have been developed for AutoDyn7, which is a special program for vehicle dynamics. The Rapid-App for GUI(Graphic User Interface) builder and the Open Inventor for 3D graphic library have been employed to develop these programs in Silicon Graphics workstation. A Graphic User Interface program integrates vehicle modeling pre-processor, AutoDyn7 analysis processor, and visualization post-processor. In vehicle modeling pre-processor, vehicle hard point data for a suspension model are automatically converted into multibody vehicle system data. An interactive graphics capabilities provides suspension modeling aides to verify user input data interactively. In visualization post-processor, vehicle virtual test simulation results are animated with virtual testing environments.

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate family life education for meddle-aged man. We developed family life education program for man consisting of 4 sessions, which is based on the system theory and strong family perspective. The program was designed to contribute to making sound family culture and more to make more equal relation between a couple by breaking from the sex-types identity and recognizing androgyny. After implementing a program for 4 weeks, the quantity and quality evaluation revealed that the program made the middled-aged man have a chance to recognize the importance of their family, especially the need to respect wife, to reflect family role performance and to learn the importance of communication between a couple.

The purpose of this study was to develop an educational program of leadership for housewives as the CEO of household management. For this purpose, the related concepts of leadership as CEO were analyzed and cases on the educational program for housewives were reviewed. The program developed through this study consists of four subjects: 1. The housewives' identity 2. Household management and the CEO 3. The strategies for the development of leadership and 4. The connection between the individual household, the community, and society. It can be expected that the program will contribute to the activation of various programs in the Healthy Families Center and the strong positioning of research in "family resource management" as a practical science.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of teachers attended at the first environmental education program for certificate of the second-major regarding environmental education and to provide reference materials for development of environmental education program and environmental textbooks. A survey methodology was used in the study. A survey, having 13 items, was developed by the researchers. The subjects consisted of 80 teachers. Teachers revealed their opinions about six categories of the survey including environmental subjects, environmental problems, middle school environmental textbook, their knowledge concerning environment, the time taught in school about environment, and teachers education. Results from teachers' data suggested directions for improvement of environmental education program and environmental textbooks.

In this study the thermal performance and economic analysis program of solar heating system for district heating was developed. This program, named SOLAN-DHS and based on TRNSYS, consisted of four modules like as user's interface for system input/output, library, and utilities and a calculating engine. SOLAN-DHS simplifies user's input data through the database of most system engineering data including weather data of 17 areas in Korea. Five different types of solar systems which can be applicable to district heating system were presented in this program. Due to the user-friendly layout, all design parameters can be changed quickly and easily for the influence on system efficiency. The reliability of SOLAN-DHS was finally verified by the experiments.

This paper describes newly developed part generation program on the basis of ACUTE. New program named as ASEP(Automatic Separation Program) has function to separate a contour defined by ACUTE into several parts and store them in the part file. The separation flow is as follows, (1) Basic Contour Generation using ACUTE (2) Separation Line Definition (3) Separation into several parts (4) Storing parts in the part file with their individual name The merit of ASEP is to reduce the number of input cards and to simplify input statements.

The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of a parental education program developed to 295 single university students based on pre-test and the post test on the program. The data is interpreted using statistical methods such as the Percentage, T -Test, Anova test, and the Turkey test. The major results were as follows : First, significant difference regarding the knowledge on parenthood existed among students before and after the tests, with the post-test students showing more knowledge on the matter. Among the six sub-categories of parenthood education program, the effects of the post-testing were most visible in pregnancy, delivering, pre-natal and infant development, parents attitude, and sex education for their children in the form of increased awareness and knowledge. However, no significant effects were detected in pre-natal education. In terms of socio-demographic variable, effects were more visible in female students than in male students. Second, the program also resulted in positive effects in both male and female students.
