The purpose of this paper is to give the opportunity to explore the career in UX(User Experience) designer and presents how to teach for UX design that is stressed in IT industry recently. We develop the textbook which is for 3 class periods for STEAM career exploration of UX designer for K-3 and K-4 students considering their students' intellectual level, prior knowledge and interests. We will offer this program to K-3 and K-4 students, soon. It will be expected that students can accept the knowledge about UX design and explore the career for UX designer.

The purpose of this research is to classify the historical features of mid-to-late twentieth century Korean fashion with a focus on 'Nora Noh', who is a first generation Korean fashion designer. The specific questions of this research are as follows: how did mid-to-late twentieth century Korean fashion and the Nora Noh brand develop and what is the relationship between the two? What are the important features of Korean women's fashion design in the mid-to-late twentieth century? What are the characteristics exhibited in each decade in Korean women's fashion and Nora Noh's fashion? This paper conducted the research by focusing on the Korean fashion development as a background of simplification in the way of dressing and specific historical incident. Researchers deployed a qualitative research method providing a systematic review of the previous studies by analyzing content as well as eleven oral statement interviews and the case study of Nora Noh. The result shows that Nora Noh is one of the first generation of Korean fashion designers who led fashion trend and system in Korea. The designer also influenced Korean commercial fashion in the 1970s and American fashion trends in the 1980s.

In an attempt to solve multiobjective optimization problems, weighted sum method is most widely used for the advantage that a designer can consider the relative significance of each object functions by weight values but it can be highly sensitive to weight vector and occasionally yield a deviated optimum from the relative weighting values designer designated because the multiobjective function has the form of simple sum of the product of the weighting values and the object functions in traditional approach. To search the design solution agree well to the designer's weighting values, we proposed new multiobjective function which was the functional of each normalized objective functions and considered to find the design solution comparing the distance between the characteristic line and the ideal optimum. In this study, proposed multiobjective function was applied to design high efficiency and low noise axial flow fan and the result shows this approach is effective for the case that the quality of the design can be highly affected by the designer's subjectiveness represented as weighting values in multiobjective design optimization process.

In this paper, design of speed observer and controller for AC servo system by rapid design system(RG-01D) using DSP of Realgain company is introduced. 'AC Servo-Designer' system, including CEMTool/SIMTool S/W, RG-DSOPIO board, AC servo driver and AUTOTool program, is used in this research. Because 'AC Servo-Designer' system can use SIMTool blocks to design and implement various controller in short time, speed observer and controller for AC servo system is easily designed and implemented according to control objectives.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of supermodern fashion designer's work, which is shown by responding to supermodern environment where non-spaces such as road, railroad and airport are surplus in modern city environment. For the study, the researcher used existing study and specialized book basically and analyzed photograph materials by selecting them in specialized fashion book, internet site and designer's homepage. The results of this study showed that supermodern fashion design is the functional fashion responding to the change of time and space concept of supermodern society directly. As the common points of supermodern designer's works, first, they try to create private space enabling wearer to cope with risk caused by the environmental change and transitional space by adding architectural factor to fashion. Second, they display the design with protective function and metaphorical expression of concealment and deception in the supermodern environment where nonspace is increasing. Third, designers search the functional design from the aspect of fabric and detail while intending the technology in order to cope with supermodern environment.

This study was intended to probe the scheme for correctly making Korean fashion design known to the world. It is because its suggestion could find out in the current influence of Japanese designer works led to fashion in Europe and the U.S. It can be said that this success was attributed to Japanese high economic growth, increased interests in fashion, increased awareness of the fashion industry, production of designers activity in the world area, systematic and active support of the fashion circles and government for the fashion industry and so on. Korean government has recently begun to attempt to nurture Koreanism or Korean look as world-class fashion. But there are a considerable number of obstacles in making Koreanism or Korean look known to the world due to such several factors as the lack of interests in fashion, the lack of globally active designers, and the like. It is necessary to nurture the fashion industry and educate and train designers for the long-term perspective. In addition, both the government and the fashion circles need to provide for more active and reasonable policy for holding the Korean Fashion Fair, expanding the Seoul Collection to the more global level, opening the way for new designers, and so forth. Furthermore, our academic circles need to make much research on the scheme for the glottalization of Koreanism or Korean look.

This study started with the need for transition to competency-based education as well as the witness of fast changes in fashion industry's job environment. The goals of this study were (1) to explore fashion designers' competencies that are necessary for a successful careers in global fashion industry, and (2) to establish fashion designer competency model. In-depth individual interviews were conducted with 15 participants who have charged for design department and moreover have shown high performance in national, licence or designer brands in Korea fashion industry. Grounded theory was adopted to analyze data. As a result of analysis, the 4 core competencies emerged: problem-solving, research, inter-personal, and self-development. Each core competency has sub-competencies. Creativity, commerciality, control, decision making were sub-competencies for the problem-solving competency. Information management, innovation understanding & application, trend analysis & forecasting were sub-competencies for the research competency. Consumer, inside company, and outside company relationships were sub-competencies for the inter-personal competency. Self-awareness, self-management, expertise were sub-competencies for the self-development competency. In order to acquire these competencies, knowledge (academic, practical, multi-discipline), skills (sense, analysis, synthesis, communication), and attitude (interest, enjoyment, perseverance, personality) were essential. Based on these findings, implications for university fashion design education and further research areas were suggested.

This study researches previous aesthetic categories and organizes new one which is applied to fashion design. With the frame of the new aesthetic category, a survey about aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic enjoyment are conducted. Also, this study discusses about the variety of the aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic enjoyment which are arisen from peculiarity of fashion and the necessity of the systemized criticizing theory. Through the survey of aesthetic consciousness about fashion designer's clothes, there are possibilities of varieties in visions and critics about fashion works. But it is necessary to read in right way about kunstwollen and symbolic meaning of designer. In order to read aesthetic consciousness inside of a fashion designer's works properly, the interpretation method which follows in systematized phases such as iconology and semiology is necessary. Contemplation for the 'clothes' which is a part of an art Is not just simply see the object and judge subjectively but examine the factors which have influenced to the formation, kunstwollen, and symbolic meaning. Also, the process and the attitude which enjoy the aesthetic value have to be analyzed and criticized which based on systemized interpretation frame. The 'Clothes' is one artistic object which expresses kunstwollen of fashion designer and he or she puts in a sentiment and an ideology into the clothes and which reflects the present society and effects to the descendant.

The goal of the study was to research how the japanese fashion effects on the japanese fashion's current. This study was processed by the 'wabi', 'sabi', 'tsu', and 'iki' which were the foundation and core of the japanese traditional culture. This study also investigated the japanese style to help the recognizing of traditional design which needed for internationalization and informational periods. The review of related literature is presented under the following headings : (a) japanese culture, (b) japanese beauty, (c) japanese style, (d) japanese fashion designer. Conclusively, Japan complete unique design of world by on the basis of own tradition and beauty of japan which were revealed on the their common daily life. So To help there cognizing of traditional design which needed for internationalization and informational periods, fashion designer of the world must research the meaning of the trend and motive power of the world fashion, base on the cultural back ground of their country. And for this, the grounding educational curriculums for fashion designer include the process which can promote awareness of their country's culture, tradition, and beauty.

The Israel-born Ron Arad is one of Britain's "superstar" designers, an it has been said that he is Britain's answer to Philippe Starck. Arad is a highly individualistic designer whose ideas stem from a mental process that has more in common with that of the fine artist than of the jobbing designer for industry. His imagination expresses itself in the form of things. By the early 1990s he had become internationally recognized for his "ready-made" work. His furniture and lighting designs required extremely costly labour-intensive techniques to produce. As his work was highly evocative, suggesting a post-industrial world in which the urban landscape was characterized by materials in a state of decay. More recently, through collaborations with Italian and German manufactures, his work has reached a new level of sophistication and finish, which differentiates it from the earlier designs. As Arad reputation as a designer of workshop-based furniture came to an end and the era of "democratic" Arad furniture came into being. By middle of the decade he had become one of the most-discussed designers of the day. The spirituality that emanates from all his work is a product of his particular vision of the creative process, far removed from the typical, stereotyped trends in the sphere of modern industrialization.
